If I could give this place a zero ,I would. Myself and a group went there for breakfast and regretted it. They were incredibly rude to one of my best friends when we had several issues there.First of all,it took them almost a half hour to take our order and ask us if we even wanted water.Then, our meal was almost an hour late and our server had a horrible attitude. She never even apologized. it was so bad the table of people next to us even asked why they were taking so long.The interesting part about this is,there were only 3 tables with people and the other 8 were empty so it wasnt that busy, One of my friends tasted her chocolate chip pancakes when they finally came back and she thought they tasted funny.Some of us tried it to be sure and we all felt the same way.After we complained about the ill treatment,the manager brushed off the concern and only agreed to take off the gratuity as if they even deserved it in the first place. Usually I dont go on here and talk and try to destroy a business or their credibility but they deserve this rating.I will never go back here or recommend this place to anyone.The food was okay but wasnt worth the price or the awful service.

Dimitris is no longer Dimitris. The large Dimitris sign still exists out front, but now it is called "Southfield Pancake House". Had breakfast / lunch with my wife and 3 kids. Ordered two kids breakfasts, an adult breakfast, and my wife and oldest daughter had hamburgers. The wait time from ordering to being served was over 35 minutes. The waitress was very apologetic and nice. My wife could see into the kitchen and see they was a lot of turmoil and confusion. The breakfast food was good, and the ham was very thick and tasty. My wife, despite explaining that she wanted a plain hamburger with no cheese, and the waitress repeating back the order a hamburger with no cheese, got a cheese burger. My daughter got the sliders, which were huge and on a premium bun. The were served very hot, and she burnt her lip on the juice. The pancakes were OK, nothing very special. If they get the kinks worked out in the kitchen, it could be a good place. As we are from out of the area, we wont make the effort to go back.

I live not far from this location and was pleased to see that there was a "pancake house" in such close proximity to my home. The pancakes are awesome!! Yes better than orginal and ihop!! HANDS DOWN..... Im gonna have to agree with the other reviews as it refers to the service. Ive been there several times and some waitresses are on it and others need to go back to McDonalds, waiting tables is just simply not for them. It took a whole 6 mins one time for them to acknowledge me when trying to pay for a carry out. I hurried up and tapped NO TIP! I try to support my people but it is sad to say that sometimes this behavior is tolerated. Other than the service from time to time the food is GREAT (of course in my experience). Hope this review helps!

Terrible Breakfast, First, had to ask for water (first no no). Second, wasnt given any silverware, boo. Thrid, waitresses rude and unprofessional. Southfeild Pancake House need help, the place wasnt crowded, three tables still had plates on them. My biscuits were cold, my dates hashbrowns were cold. The omelette (salmon, pancakes) enjoyed. I understand new businesses have their problems,staff not having alot of training. I feel you should hire as experienced ppl as possible, if you do a news worthy tasty Tuesday. Money is too hard to come by to throw it away and leave still hungry (30.00 for two ppl) smh Im hoping you guys get better.

Today was the first and last time I will eat here. I ordered a philly cheese steak omelette which was not only greasy, but about two thirds if the way through it, I found a piece of string in it. I pointed it out to the waitress, who asked me if I wanted something else, but at this point, I had lost my appetite. At no point after that did the waitress or the manager come over to either try to make things right or at least let me know that the issue had been addressed in the kitchen. Poor customer service, not much better food.

Service is incredibly slow and inefficient. Took forever for servers to take our orders and get our food. Quality and/or quantity of the food is not worth the price. I ordered the shrimp n grits with rye toast. The grits were undercooked, the bell peppers and tomatoes were roughly chopped in huge chunks, and the gravy tastes like its straight from a can. My toast wasnt even toasted; it was just raw white bread. I felt sick after eating that meal and was in dire need of a bathroom. Not coming here again.

We arrived at 2:15pm and someone took our order around 2:40pm. It is now 3:15pm and our food is still not out yet. Definitely not the place to go, if you are in a hurry or hungry. The restaurant closes at 3:30. I hope they dont think Im going to rush and eat, because Im not. They havent even came back to our table to refill our drinks. One would think that someone would have came back several times during the hour. Its 3:25pm, still no food. Were leaving. We did try.

I LOVE this place! The wait staff are always friendly and attentive...the food is always prepared just as I order. I see many others complaining about the length of time it takes to prepare the food and I would just say 1. There is a sign when you come in that all orders are made to order and there may be a wait so patience is appreciated and 2. Its worth it! The waffles are amazing and the grits are delish. I highly recommend this restaurant!

On my first visit this morning, I ordered blueberry pancakes with turkey sausage and eggs. Very tasty, fluffy pancakes. Eggs were....eggs. Next time I may try an omelette. I was wondering about the service based on previous reviews, but the service was great on this visit. The food was good, service good, receipt accurate. If Im in the area, I may stop by again.

Two thumbs down: The food portions was small and not satisfying, they wanted to charge me extra for another lemon slice (that was already to thin), they use shredded (can) crab in their seafood omelet, and there were more staff present at the restaurant than patrons. Sorry but I will not recommend Southfield Pancake House or returning.

I would not patronize this place again.. we waited over 15 minutes before a waitress came over to take our drink orders. They werent even that busy. I watched as two other people were sat after us and got drinks first, but that is another story. The waitress then tells me they only serve lemon with tea, not water

The pancakes are awesome. Service is horrible. It was probably 3 tables seated including ours and it took almost 10 minutes to place our order and we had to ask the waitress for the check then wait an additional 5 minutes standing at the door to pay the bill. If the food wasnt so good I wouldnt return.
