Hi Very recently myself and my friend visited Zarape 3-4 times. Here are the key issues : 1) None of the service person including Managers understand English. 2) Often, while we have the dinner the mexican service persons alyways have a chat in their own language among themselves and keep commenting on everyone in the restaurant having the drink & food....They always stare at people having food.. Recently,we ordered for a vegetarian dish and the service person didnt understood at all as what we ordered..he brought a shrimp dish...when we said that its not we ordered he was very adamant to even accept it and with frustration he brought the veggie dish.. Today, after 2 days of that incident we went to the restaurant and the same service person didnt want to serve us eventhough there was not much crowd.rather he just delicated to another person. While paying the bill,we just initmated the Restaurant Manager itself that the "Service is not good today"..Instead of apologizing and trying to find the reason behind our feedback she simplay said "the guys are busy today" and no way she was thinking abt "customer service"..hope she is totally unaware as what it is... SO hereon we have decided not to viist the restaurant.. If you are not a Mexicanbetter avoid this place..

We went in a little nervous because it was a new restraunt. It used to be applebees. The first thing we got was the nachos and salsa. Both were homeade and free. Next we tried the stuffed jalapenos. These too were awesome! For our main course we had fajitas. The steak was mouthwatering and the side dishes (rice and beans were terrific.). Our only thing that people would complain about is the number of tortillas they give you( they give you three). But you can purchase them for three at 75 cents. Finally for dessert we had fried ice cream. It was homeade also and really tasty. Homeade whipped cream honey and ice cream in a waffle bowl. The total for our bill was only $20 including a pop and coffee. Everything was excellent and well worth the money. We will return.

Went there on a recommendation from my girlfriend and ordered lunch picked up. Ordered the California burrito and 2 steak tacos. To begin $20+ Bill for a burrito and 2 tacos is high for the area. So they are high. Now the burrito I have to say was ok but the rice and beans were both cold. Only 5 minutes after I picked it up. The 2 steak tacos witch were 3.50 each way overpriced were plain tortillas and meat thats it. Totally disappointed in the tacos they were steak nothing special about them and very plain no cilantro no toppings whats so ever Im glad I didnt ask for topping might have been 5 dollar each tacos then lol. Way over priced joint. Will not be returning bad value for my money.

Despite still looking like an Applebees, Mi Zarape is a great place for good, reasonably-priced Mexican food. The free chips were a bit stale, but the salsa was great! Flavorful, not too spicy, and contains real cilantro. Portion sizes were generous, and I was pleased to see that my fajita-fixings plate was not hiding under a mound of cheese like it usually is at similar restaurants. The total bill for two adults was less than $25, including tip. Prompt seating, huge menu, non-intrusive servers, and a clean, pleasant atmosphere make this worth checking out.

Traveling for business and a small group of us decided to try this restaurant even though it didnt have very many stars. The building is nice, typical Mexican style theme, and we were greeted immediately by a friendly host. Our waitress was prompt with our drinks and chips/salsa. She was also polite when we asked for extra time. The food was good, but the service was slow to respond to request for extras. If your not on a hurry, this is a good, not great, place to eat. Prices were also very reasonable.

You must be kidding... the service was fine, although not exceptional, but the food was really bad. None of the dishes had any kick. The guacamole was ok, but all the burritos were filled with this bland liquid bean stuff and uninspired meat. The cheese sauce was too runny and the quesadillas were also a bit too liquid inside. The ambiance of the place is nice, unfortunately, the food isnt very good. I dont know why this place is so highly rated.

Food was always fine, but the lousy service this last time was the 4th time in a row, we wont be back. Other times they screwed up a meal, they apologized and rushed it out quickly. Mistakes happen, but nearly every time? This time they forgot one of our meals, and then had to wait another 25 minutes for it to be ready, while everyone was already done eating. Additionally, you have to chase the servers down for drinks and a bill at the end.

This restaurant has several issues: 1 The service was really bad 2 The dishes were cooked with canned souces (tasted very bad) 3 Dishes that are well known were not cooked as it was supposed to (Tortilla soup with... rice?? it shouldnt come with rice) .....Overall this is NOT a good mexican restaurant, I know it wont be as in Mexico but there are better ones with more quality and at least try harder to cook it from scratch.

My wife and I have a new favorite restaurant. We had Tacos al Pastor & Menudo. Aqui es un buen restaurante autentico donde hacen unos platos con sabor hecho en casa. Gracias

The food was fine, drinks were fine, but they wouldnt honor a coupon I had for it. A coupon thats printed on the back of every single receipt I get from the grocery store. So my meal was was twice as expensive as it should have been. Thats some pretty awful customer service, and I will not be back because of it. Pity too, since I love Mexican food and I just moved into the area.

The food quality here is about on par with Taco Bell. This place is beside a big hotel chain which makes me think that it relies on people from the hotel for a lot of its business. The atmosphere is uninspiring, the food is of Sysco quality, and the service was quite slow. I was looking forward to it since a few of the people from my work liked it. But it was not up to par.

Kind of our staple for Mexican food that we compare all others to. We love it! Its a little slow and we have had a couple of orders placed in correctly but its rare and fixed quickly. May have been a language thing as English is clearly not primary language for several of the servers. Doesnt bother us enough to stop going. Love it!!!!

Been to the restaurant on two occasions. The first time I waited at the hostess desk while two employees ignored me. Stood in front of them for a few minutes watching them play with their phones. I left. Thought I would give them a second chance. Brought the wrong food on my second visit. Goodbye......

Food was good, service was extremely slow even though there were only a small handful of tables occupied. Server got my order wrong twice, she even looked at the menu to check but I just ate was I was given in the end. Good food, just be sure to set aside a decent amount of time for the meal.
