Dont come here if you need keto friendly food. They provide lots of noodles and rice. Although you can order without those stuff, the sauce is always sweet. Like Panda Express, king express that you may heard about, the food actually come with sauce and they just heat it for you. You may notice that classic American-Chinese food such as beef broccoli, Sichuan pork, hunan chicken, general chicken, sesame chicken, always come with sweet sauce. And I really doubt if they have more than two kinds of sauce. I know this because I asked the waitress if they could cook the food without the sweet sauce and just top with salt and pepper. But she said the sauce was already in the food... Too bad! I got a feeling of paying them for hearing frozen classic sweet American-Chinese food for me. I love traditional Chinese food and home style American salad. But I really hate those cheap and tasteless American-Chinese food! I ordered spicy Sichuan pork yesterday, 14 bucks. The food was sweet, tasteless, not spicy at all! I even asked for a pot of hot water to get rid of those creepy sauce.

Egg drop soup was pretty good. Had the General Tsos lunch combo plate - chicken was good and properly cooked, though the sauce was thicker than I wouldve liked, and it had almost no heat even though I asked for extra heat when I ordered. The waitress brought me a small bowl of chili paste on the side, but I really think that if I have the confidence to specify "very hot", the kitchen should just prepare it that way and not assume Im the typical American with no taste for heat or spice. The egg roll was about average - easily edible with plenty of hot mustard, nothing more, nothing less. The fried rice was the biggest disappointment, basically just white rice and soy sauce. Lunchtime service was pretty good, had my food about 10-15 minutes after I was seated, and I was in and out in about 30 minutes total. Unfortunately, this place was a couple dollars more expensive than my favorite place at 10 and Telegraph, and the food, while not bad, was a step down for me. I would eat here again, but only if someone else suggested it or was paying for it.

The restaurant is in a shopping plaza so dont miss it. The food didnt have a wow effect on me but it was decent enough to come back. I ordered the Almond Chicken for lunch which came with hot and sour soup and an egg roll. Soup was tasty but was lacking some spice. Egg roll had somewhat crunch to it but wasnt that flavorful. The portions were huge and I got full immediately. The breading on the almond chicken was nice and crispy but there was a lot of breading. Tasty gravy for sure. Overall not bad, I would come back but probably order something else.

Best in the area. Live here for two years trying every Chinese food spot I can find. Came across this one said FINALLY! I only can eat it if they cut the fat off the chicken and have lean meat. So im not chewing and chewing on rubber. And that 90% of the restaurants in the area. Prices are decent as well 2 thumbs up.

I walked into this place not expecting much seeing as how its not in the nicest of locations. However, dont let that fool you - its a small restaurant with great food. The only exception is their chinese vegetable soup, which is just boiled veggies in water. Otherwise, their food is good and the prices are great.

The food is good but the service could use some work! One waiter (female) is surly and too proud to say thank you even if youve given her a tip. You have to wait and ask for more than one napkin. Its in my neighborhood so I go there a lot but thanks to two of the staff Im beginning not to enjoy going.

I dont trust many oriental restaurants but Empress Garden has been a long time favorite! They use chicken breast for chicken dishes and their food is very flavorful . Also when they charge $4 for shrimp fried rice, dont be alarmed. Those shrimp are huge and worth it!

I have been going here for in upwards of 10 years. I have never gotten anything less than alot of good - no great - food! My coworkers even bribe me with "free lunch there if I get so-and-so project done under budget. Love love love!

Excellent experience. Generous portions. Reliably consistent taste across the usual suspects of Americanized Chinese cuisine. Hot and spicy could have been a bit more of each, but this is a very small complaint.

Head Chef/Owner has close to 30 years experience in Chinese cuisine. Walnut Shrimp, Hong Kong Steak, Gen Tso Chicken with chicken or shrimp fried rice. You cant go wrong with the above selections!
