I love Olive Garden and Ive been here quite a few time. and Ive had excellent service most of the time. The food is always delicious and I love the breads sticks and chicken gnocchi soup. But our visit yesterday was was none of this ..if u would of based my review off of jut yesterday it would of been a 1 star review with the only good thing to say was the food still tasted delicious. After trying to not let service ruin your lunch. There comes a point where refills on drinks and you unlimited soups breads sticks and pastas is what you came for and not having seen your server since he originally dropped off the drinks and soups and salads. I had to get up and ask a different server if he would go get our server for us. Which he claimed he would but still no one came over everyone at our 8 top needed something and was waiting... our server clearly looked busy so I try to understand but there becomes a point where if they cant handle it and theres no other server willing to help him. How well the restaurant really runs when they are busy on a Saturday afternoon..maybe smaller sections or more servers or a little teamwork motivation is needed to give guest an excellent dining service. After all they do rely on good tips as their income. And service like this would not give them this. My suggestion dont go during busy times.

Excellent food for this category of restaurant. Main meals of huge proportions. Side dishes such as salad or soup is excellent. Try especially the Pasta Fagioli, its a meal in itself! Garlic bread sticks are certainly a bonus. Put them right in your soup, or use them to clean your plate. Favorite meals include the best Fettuccine Alfredo in town, excellent chicken scampi, and chicken with broccoli (in garlic cream sauce). After your meal, why not try an excellent coffee to go. Get the mocha with their perfect portion of whip cream. Service varies as staff is most often college kids. Very rarely have terrible service, but food was always perfect. Plan ahead, this place is super super busy and always packed. Seating is much faster for small parties of 2-3. Wait time can be 15 minutes to more than a half hour.

OK, lots of people like the Olive Garden, right? Well yeah, pretty much anything tastes good if you throw enough alfredo and parmesan on it. And that goes double if youre part of the palate-less mass that rarely eats anything but the same six chains youve been eating at your whole life. For the sake of fairness and full disclosure, Im really not blaming the Olive Garden - theyre just giving the people what they want: safe food with just enough Italian decorum and verbiage to incite a perceived difference between their food and that of every other restaurant of mass-consumption.

Appalling unorganized. The loudly-yelling host person was quite snotty when my guest and I questioned putting the TWO of us at a table for six during peak dinnertime. Each of the six chairs and under the table had plenty of debris from the last guests. The wine glasses were also from the PREVIOUS guests and our server was challenged to find clean ones. We watched her search through the glasses at the nearby station, then proceed to another area before returning. That was too much and we promptly left. Interestingly, another family left, too.

Their "gluten free" pasta made me extremely ill. Beware if you have a gluten sensitivity, as I would guess they do not prepare it correctly. Ive eaten this same meal at other Olive Gardens and did not have a problem. Follow Up: I received a genuine apology from the manager and was pleased that he took the opportunity to train his team on how important it is to follow proper preparation procedures to protect guests with allergies. I was very impressed with his sincerity and may even give this place another try.

The service was excellent. We were greeted immediately and seated rather quickly considering the amount of business they had. Our waiter was appropriately attentive and friendly without hovering or lingering. The reason for the 3 stars is because the food was below expectations. Mostly it was decent, however it was nothing to rave about considering the price and I had to comment about my steak being rare instead of medium. Overall the quality of the food lessened enjoyment of our visit considerably.

When I went in I was told that i would get as many breadsticks as i wanted so i kept ordering them and then they told me they ran out i was very upset because i still wanted more and then when my food came it had long noodles and then i found a short one. All i wanted was a garden and they didnt have any. All they had was food. It was ok. i went in to use their facilities and i ripped major hole on one of their toilets ripped it real good. would use again.

We have eaten there many times and keep coming back for more because the food is consistently above average, the salad and breadsticks are tasty and the service, while it can be a wait is OK. This is a college town and you can tell when the students and their families are out and about. Everything in the area gets busy on game nights and the like. That being said, We will endure the occasional wait in line for a good fairly priced meal.

The staff is quite friendly and every considerable, they know thier customer service especially if they mess up your order. if you go there alot theyre super awesome and carring I used to to go there weekly for thier tasty dolcinni until I realized I was allergic/intolerant to some of the ingredients in there. Thier food is very good, love the gluten free options, the desserts and the veggie options

The food was good, but the experience was horrible. We waited for forty five minutes to be seated, then another hour on top of that to get our food. The waiter kept apologizing, but didnt sound sincere in any way shape or form. My aunt who ordered the Alfredo pasta, and had a foreign object in the pasta. Doubt we will be coming back, even if they never have problems with their computers again.

This evenings experience at the Okemos MI Olive Garden was the worst I have ever had. The waitress was rude and the manager was rude and slow to respond, and believed the waitress. I was brought up that the customer is always right! When you work with the public you need to have tact something these people lacked. If you cant handle 3 tables you might want to consider a different career choice.

The food was great like at every Olive Garden but the service was absolutely terrible. First I got served food with a long black hair in it and was not apologized to, the waiter actually seemed irritated that I wanted a new dish. Then the waiter spilled water all over me and not only did he not apologize but was really snippy about the whole thing. I was not offered a discount or anything.

For our experience, newlywed Joe has excellent customer service. We highly reccomend him to be your server. We love the fact that he works well side-by-side with his wife Colleen. Joe made sure out food was out in time, our glasses were never empty and he even suggested a delicious dessert that we would have never known was there.
