Five stars for the quintessential diner experience. Booths to accommodate ectomorphs from yesteryear, six-seater bar overlooking the griddle/kitchen show. Jukebox always functional. Waffle House is found across the South and in my experience, all offer a similar experience "right outta Americana". For me - enjoying the experience means sitting at the bar - preferably the right-most swivel. This seat affords exceptional vistas overlooking the dishwasher station, panoramic displays down the kitchen galley, and when 180 degrees from the action - the lively intersection of Tennessee and Ocala. Customer service is taken seriously here. Whether at a slow-point or in the veritable weeds, servers and cooks alike are apt to greet you as you come in. The mens room has always been clean and well lit, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant (front of the house and visible back of the house) is noticeable.

You may be thinking "Really? *Waffle House* is a five star place?" To clarify, no, its not like any Waffle House is really high brow, but we all know the niche it fills: Hungry people who just want some delicious, if plain and reliable, food, sometimes at odd hours. You know what you came for, you will get it at this location, and the staff has always been friendly and attentive when Ive been there. My biggest gripe with this location, is its location: It is difficult to access when approaching from the east on Tennessee St, as the light at Ocala does not allow U-turns, and if you turn south on Ocala, the break in the median ALSO does not allow U-turns and you have to go all the way to the next light... The best bet might be to continue west on Tennessee and U-turn at the turn lane into the Publix shopping center across the way.

Im sorry, Ive had so many friends rave about waffle House... But it just doesnt do it for me. Ive been to a handful across four states and... The waffles are... Meh. The hashbrowns are... Meh... The bacon was meh. The biscuits and gravy were...meh... If you love this place, more power to you, it just didnt live up the hype. Which is sad since I typically have such low standards.

What can you say about waffle house? It is always socially awkward to sit in the little booths and watch all the drunk college kids LOL. it is the typical greasy spoon, but the food is not bad, and the price is good. if youre looking for a late night place to eat, look no further.

I told the server I wanted to dine in; he served my meal to go. The sweet tea wasnt. For something called a cheesesteak melt bowl, there wasnt very much cheese in it. That said, the food was okay. Theyre conveniently located near my job, so Ill probably eat there again.

Eggs cooked wrong and then they argued with me. Friendly people. Food way overpriced for its quality. Cook had open sore on arm. Two people worked while the rest ate. I will never return.
