Fragmented Mind
This is a very good tex mex/mexican restaurant. It has a wide menu and good service. I havent had anything that was I would say was bad, most items are very good. While other restaurants may have (slightly) better or more authentic Mexican food you typically pay far more or have to drive greater distances. Vaqueros is a good all a round restaurant with flavorful food, a clean atmosphere and typically (everyone has off days) friendly staff. Even when its fairly packed getting a seat is usually fast and the quality is very consistent.

Great Mexican food. I like this place better than most of the restraunts in Mexicantown in Detroit. The chicken burrito grande is so big, it is a meal for two by itself. I like everything I have eaten here. They give you a big bowl of fresh tortilla chips and salsa when you sit down. The service is fast and the food is great. The one thing we did not care for is the taco salad. It is different than most other places and seems plain. Other than that, it is a great choice for Mexican. One of the better places in Monroe.

I went there with my girlfriend and her parents after a long day of garage saling and this place hit the spot. First time here and will not be the last! Best authentic mexican restaurant I have ever been two! Great food and quantity at not to much of an expense! The chips and salsa were amazing!!

I have been going there every Sunday for the past 5 months now. They have improved %100 sense the supposed cockroaches. The restaurant is clean and has the best traditional Mexican I have ever had. I always see someone cleaning and the food gets to you at a surprisingly fast pace.

The food here is exceptional. For the terd that found a hair in your food, you clearly dont own animals. Its a hair it happens. I bet if you looked hard enough you would find stuff in all the food you eat.

My favorite restaurant in Monroe. The core staff is great, friendly and fast but they never hover and theres no sense of false enthusiasm. The food always arrives fast. Theres also a great vegetarian menu.

El Vaquero in my opinion is the best mexican food in monroe. The service is great and the food comes out quick. The owner takes pride in his restaurant and loves to bring the food out in person. Love it!

The inside of the restaurant has a displeasing odor. The walls, menus, and especially the inside of the exit doors are soiled. The food is mediocre. The staff are friendly and efficient.

My husband and I make a shared meal out of the chicken nachos. Tasty, inexpensive, and filling. Weve tried a few other things but, unlike the nachos, those items didnt draw us back.
