OK, so I was staying locally and needed a place to eat. The local pizza place was closed, but this place had a high rating, so my buddy and I decided to check it out. Walking in, I was surprised to see a bunch of HD monitors overhead, with menu items listed on them. To my surprise, this is not a restaurant where one goes to sit down and be waited on. It is similar to going to a Qdoba, Chipotle, etc., but with a more wide variety of authentic food and a couple of signature items (like the fried Cazuela tacos). Since I was hoping to sit down and have a full dine in experience, I was a little disappointed, but overall, this place is good and it gives you a fair experience beyond the places I mentioned above. I would go again...:) 30 minutes later- LOL...OK, after writing this review, I decided it was time to hit the leftovers from my early evening meal! I busted out the remnants of the two (yes two, I was curious) meals I had ordered earlier. While my tacos were gone, my beans and rice (from both meals), and my chimichanga were still around. I heated up the chimichanga and some of the beans and rice, which still had veggies from the tacos mixed in. Usually this means nappy limp veggies, but NO! Everything was amazing warmed up! A sign of quality ingredients I say! Good stuff! Now now only would I go back...I WANT to!

Different Mexican restaurant experience. its more like walk along build your meal (they cook it), pay and sit & eat (like chipotle or qdoba) but fine dinning quality of food and lot more options. The food was great, plenty of vegetarian option but again (take off the meat but nothing to replace kind), very good for lunch. the process Is fast so nearly no wait time. I had the veggie Enchiladas Dinner, more like rice and beans enchilada, very good. my friend had chicken tacos, he liked it as well. They give any hot sauce or salsa free but you have pay extra for the guacamole. and No complementary chips. The all woman crew is friendly and sweet, they are very helpful. The place is small. lunch time it gets packed super fast. seating is limited. The have a private parking lot again it gets filled up fast. but street side parking is available

Many other better choices Downriver i stopped in last week to purchase those great Chorizo Sopes I has twice at your place and now you jacked the price up from a $ 1.75 each to $ 2.00 each,,, sp your daughter agreed to give them to me for the right price and then was ask what kind I want I said Chorizo and was told we dont make them with that choice of meat,,, well 2 times I had them and heres the photo to prove it. Also your way over priced on your soda and other items on the menu. I stopped in Lincoln Park bought 10 mega stuffed Tacos with Chorizo and got a FREE 2 liter Coke all for only $ 12.50,,, good luck I WONT BE BACK and write a review to reflect my dissatisfaction with your place.

Im from Texas, and I lived in Austin for 5 years. Now that Ive established my Mexican food critiquing credentials, this place is phenomenal fast casual Mexican food. I had the chicken enchiladas suizas, and they tasted awesome! There isnt much seating so be sure to get there early for the lunch rush unless youre getting it to go. You can go in, order your meal, and leave within 5 minutes, and the food is on par with any sit-down Mexican food Ive had in the Detroit metro area.

The food was excellent.....probably the best mexifood i have had. The resturant is much like a chipoltis but without the corperate hipster nonsense. Prices are great too the same amount of food would have been atleast $4 more at a chipotlis or similiar resto. The ladies working were cute too and definatly took pride in their work , unlike most staff nowadays.

So I called a day ahead for a breakfast burrito pick up. I ordered 25 burritos and talking with them they would be ready at 10 am. I showed up at 9:50 and all 25 burritos were ready to go! Brought them into work and they were delicious. The team loved them! I may have to make this a regular thing, thank you so much!

You want the best Mexican food this side of the border then you must visit this joint. Best part is its in my city and only a couple blocks away. Im just a white boy but I love love love me some Mexican food Id eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner the rest if my life. Sincerely the guy in the wheelchair lol

Disgusting! First time trying this place through GrubHub. I paid $3 for a large Coke and it was all soda water; no syrup. The food was bland and literally dripping in grease. I paid $20 (GrubHub said it was a minimum $15 and $5 delivery fee) and it all went in the trash. Ill never order from here again!

Ive been eating at this restaurant for years, since ther first location on Ford rd. in Dearborn. Always great quality and great food for a little more than a fast food combo meal. Burritos are huge and taste great. Glad there in Melvindale.

Great lunch place, you can tell because the line loops all the way around the store!! But they are fast, and the food is affordable and great. Good portions, fresh ingredients, and traditional fare. Try it on Taco Tuesday

I really liked the build to order(subway style) approach Cazuelas has. Prices are fair for amount of food. It heavily favors authentic food which I prefer. I would recommend.
