The only time me and my fiance decided to eat here was our first month living in marquette. We thought, huh an italian place that looks extremely cute. How wrong we were. Going inside just at opening time, the place was fairly empty and yet it took a good while for me and her to get seated. By the time we were we were extremely hungry, looking the menu over a few good times before we made our decision. She had chosen spaghetti with meatballs, an easy decision. Yet, when she received her plate she was so dissapointed at how bland in flavor the meatballs had, and how watered down the sauce tasted that it lacked any good tastes. I, on the other hand chose a chicken dish. Cant quite remember what it was called, all I do remember is that they quite literally drowned it in marinara sauce to hide the obvious fact it was under cooked chicken. I can tell you my appetite went quick when I tasted it and I was done, pushing my plate away and ready to leave. When we left we had vowed to never go there again, and to be fair we havent and any of our friends who think about heading there we tend to detour elsewhere. No one deserves to pay ridicilous prices for food that is not even close to being worth it. 0/10, undercooked chicken, bland meatballs, sauce tastes extremely watery for spaghetti.

Recently, the pasta has gone downhill and the prices up. The Villa Capri should install a swing door for its constant turnover rate. The servers always seem a bit pushy, the hostess lazy, and the owner is a very clear male chauvinist (that may explain the turnover) who will not hesitate to swear out and shush your date if they happen to have the slightest problem with their food. Stay clear of this place unless you would like to dine somewhere with the ambiance of a rape chamber, and all of the creepy decor to go with. If youre from out of town, dont waste your time here (unless you just HAVE to experience how inevitably average this place is). Go to the Pasta Shop or the Casa Calabria instead. Both have a very similar menu within the same price margins, in a much, much better part of town (Third St.). If youre from Marquette and reading this, well, then I suppose youre well in on the joke that this place has become. Lol Villa, I wish I had more hands so I could give your restaurant, more thumbs down!! :D Sorry, not sorry!!! Long hair, dont care!!!!!!!!

The Villa is one of my favorite restaurants in Marquette! I love their steak with lasagna and Caesar salad with garlic bread. The garlic bread is very buttery, so its not for those who are afraid of calories or heart attacks, but its so delicious. The steaks are always done just right. They only serve tenderloin, so its always tender. The atmosphere can be a bit dark for some, but I like it. The service is good, but sometimes you have to wait to get a seat due to the popularity of the place. The only negative is that the bar is so far away from the restaurant. The simple decor in the dining room is charming to me, but may be a bit too simple for some tastes. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

Tasteless food and tasteless staff are how I would describe my experience there!!! It was all horrible. The food had absolutely no flavor and was horrendously overpriced. $9 for four frozen ravioli, total BS! Nothing in the restaurant was fresh food. All frozen, GFS style. They had five waitresses-for ten tables-who stood around and gossiped about off shift staff directly in front of customers for five minutes or so (repeatedly) ignoring not only myself, but other customers as well. They were loud, rude, and unprofessional. I would suggest you save your money and time and go elsewhere. This was food I wouldnt even feed my dog! I will never, ever be returning here!!

Worst Itialian food I have ever experienced! My wife and I ate here last night (9/4/16), and left with an upset stomach! The dishes ordered tasted like flavorless boxed food drowned in awful meat sauce. I guess they think if the cover their bad food with revolting sauce, it will somehow make it better. Whoever is cooking doesn’t know the first thing about cooking Itialian food! Ive had bad food before, but the worst part is that we paid fine dining prices, for school cafeteria quality. The waitress actually charged us an additional $6 to our bill because we asked for extra bread. Do yourself a favor, and dine somewhere else.

Ok so if you want an evening where youre in a beautiful atmosphere, sipping on wine, and eating amazing garlic bread then this is the place for you! However, if you want amazing chewy al dente pasta with made from scratch sauces DO NOT GO HERE! Go to "the pasta shop!" Every time Ive ordered anything, (lasagna, spaghetti, ravioli... I cant remember anything else) The sauce tastes burnt and normally comes with an unappetizing amount of cheese and the pasta is soft! The icing on the cake is it is soooooooo expensive it just ends up making me crabby every time I go.

I ordered the chicken tetrazzini and it was very sub-par for the prices. It was the most watery sauce Ive ever had, there was a good 1/4 inch of liquid in the bottom of my dish. Flavor was so-so. My girlfriends dish, I do not recall what, had the same issue. The red and black paint scheme is also hideous, unless you like feeling like youre dining in a dungeon, which made the atmosphere just weird. I dont plan on going back, as there are a number of other places that serve better Italian cuisine with a better atmosphere. Service was good.

The food portions are good but the food lacks any special flavor; its very plain Italian food. The prices are a bit on the high side considering overall quality, but not outrageous considering its technically fine dining. The waitstaff was the highlight of our experience; everyone was very courteous and nice; they even helped us pick dishes from the menu. The environment was the worst part of our experience; everything is painted blood red and the decor, right down to the house music, is all out of the 1970s (or earlier).

Worst Italian food I have ever had, their Italian salad consisted of brown lettuce with one tomato buried underneath, their capri sizzler was the rubberiest steak I have ever had, their Alfredo sauce was chunky and thick like it was yesterdays sauce, their decor is outdated I felt like I was sitting in a basement. It was a horrible experience. Over priced and terrible food.

Pizza harder than a cracker. Wait staff kind but afraid of the elderly woman (who is cheap and would not remove the pizza from my tab). The elderly woman stated " everyone loves our pizza" and that the description states " thin crisp, and flakey". WTH...I guess bad food is the customers fault. Never again. She is the reason chain restaurants put people out of business.

The place needs a serious update. Decor and menu. Salad is a bowl of iceberg lettuce with oil and vinegar for $4.25, garlic bread was so saturated in oil I could of wrung it out like a sponge. Chicken spinach ravioli was horrid. Ground up chicken and about a gallon of sauce. I could only make it through 3 bites. Never will go back! Better off getting drive thru.
