Im not sure what happened to the reviewer below me, but this is far and away my favorite Chinese place anywhere Ive been to in the State. I live in Lansing and if Im ever in the area (and have an excuse to eat) I go here. When you order a fried chicken dish, its an ACTUAL CHICKEN BREAST that is sliced and slathered in whatever sauce you ordered. EVERY other place (including "upscale" places) uses those God-awful weirdly-shaped Chinese chicken nugget things that are usually more breading than chicken. Since I dont live in the area I dont do takeout and instead eat in the dining room where the service is great. All in all, I wish I still lived in the area so I could go here more often.

I am not easily impressed. I love their food! Usually, Chinese cuisine gives me a very uncomfortable bloated feeling after I am done eating. The ingredients they use ( or leave it) leave my stomach happy as can be. I have been shocked by this everytime I eat there, I leave and feel great for hours on. The quality is clear. Plenty of fresh ingredidents and vegetables galore in the entrees. The proteins are NOT over cooked. Yes, they are tender and a sheer delight to enjoy. Go eat here and your stomach and taste buds will be happy!!! Awesome food!

Ten Yen is the best place around. Try their almond chicken w yellow sauce! Mmm mmm good. Last night it was very busy and some drugged out blonde skank was complaining about how long it took and bitchin about free won tons. After the cashier apologized and gave her free won tons, she continued bitchin so i smashed her food on the counter and threw it out the door into the parking lot and told that worthless drugged out skank to beat it!. Had to settle for arbys tonight but will be back tommorow for more delicious chinese food☺

Pleasant atmosphere. Visible shrimp in the shrimp fried rice. The waitstaff is professional in their greeting of customers and serving me well when I dine in. Im fairly new to the area and Ive tried a couple of other chinese restaurants and the end result is that, Ten Yens became my one and only. And conversing with a customer while waiting for my order, she stated she has moved out of the area and comes back to Ten Yens for her families chinese food. It is a great place.

Went based on the other reviews. Was parked in the lot for about 10 minutes on a call. Watched people come in and out the whole time! Lots of carry outs. Went in and was seated right away. Great hot and sour soup and a healthy portion for my meal. Had to take the rest home. It was awesome to say the least. Watched the owner personally greets u patrons by name. Ill definitely be going back. Only down side is the location and vacancies in the strip mall.

Absolutely love ten yen! I order to go and dine in quite often. They have the best egg drop soup and egg rolls! Very fast and polite service, great prices on huge quantities of quality food. Ive liked every thing Ive ever ordered, orange chicken, schezuan beef, chicken chop suey, ten yen special low mein, and sweet sour chicken are all by far delicious. I highly recommend ten yen for a great dining or to go experience.

I ordered carry out almond chicken at about 5pm on a Friday, not busy at all. In addition, I also ordered other menu items so that my bill came to $20 with a tip. Where else can you order this dish and they send you home without gravy. Once I realized my order was incomplete, I called to get a resolution, only to be put on hold multiple times. This is time I will never get back therefore I am never going back!

I took out Hot & Pepper Chicken lunch special. It was about $6 and was delivered quickly. I went there after reading good reviews but it was a mistake. Food was neither hot nor better than any american chinese restaurant. Im not familiar with authentic chinese food, so I may not be a good judge. Worst part is that the egg roll tasted like a day or two old and I did not appreciate it.

The best Chinese food around! They do great at catering to vegetarians. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is that there is no separate smoking section. Non-smokers have to put up with smokers right next to their table. The food pretty much makes up for that, though. My wife has been going to this place for over 30 years now.

I came here with my dad a while back. They have good food. My grandmother always used to come here and when she moved out to the west coast she would stop by here every visit to eat. They have been here for a very long time, but the food is good which helps generate return visits.

The food was good, and you get a lot for the price. I cant say for sure if it had anything to do with how they prepare food or anything, but I threw up a bunch the next day, and at one point I saw an ant... So I suppose eat at your own risk? staff was friendly and accommodating.

Hubs and I were in town for a week. Stopped here on a Wednesday night. Busy at 7 pm but not crazy. Very modern decor with interesting but comfortable white chairs. Menus on iPads - a first for us. Easy to use, and made us order more because we could see a photo of EACH item!

Egg Rolls and dinner rolls fabulous. Two people can eat for $12 bucks (youll order one meal and split it). Where else can you get a deal like that. The wait staff are very friendly. Not an upscale environment but who cares. Im there to eat not watch TV or drink a beer.

Our favorite takeout. Have tried many things. Favorites are general tsao, mongolian beef, egg rolls are amazing one of the few places who uses bean sprouts in them. Soups are good. I havent had anything bad tasting there yet. There are still a bunch of things left to try.

I met friends here and was surprised at all the choices. I cant eat hamburgers, but there were plenty of other options. Or you can substitute a veggie burger on one of their featured burgers. The sweet potato fries were delicious, and there are lots of other sides.

This was our first time at this restaurant and everything was fantastic, from the manager William to our server Jan. We ordered the almond chicken, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp fried rice and they were all fantastic. Generous portions and very fair prices!

Great good, low prices, overall awesome. I got the general tso chicken, it was under $10 and there is enough here for me to eat for two days. Another plus is that the chicken is all white breast, not that blob of dark meat you get at some places.

Excellent excellent food and customer service. Did I say the food was good? Yes its excellent! The owner and his family are wonderful people. Polite and friendly. Not your typical "hows your meal" as they fly by. Plus the food is delicious!

Bland food, restaurant looks like its straight out of the 80s and food tasted like it was cooked in the 80s too. Waitress was nice though. The place was completely empty at lunch time on Friday, if that says anything.
