This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. So I come in during Happy Hour to order Sushi, and instead of putting me with the other patrons, because there were empty tables, they put me in the section of the restaurant closest to the kitchen, where staff members were eating their meals. I shouldve left because I felt racially profiled as I was the only black patron in the restaurant, but I wanted to look past it. They seat me by myself and Im left waiting for over 5 minutes for my waitress. She finally arrives and I order a water. She brings me a glass of water and disappears for another 10 minutes. Because Im ready to order, I flag down the host, and tell him that Im ready to order and I havent seen my waitress since she dropped off the water. He says the restaurant is very busy and that she is serving multiple tables. But the restaurant was half empty when I walked in. Then the waitress comes back and takes my order. All I order is Sushi, and she informs me that itll be a 5-7 minute wait on the Sushi. 15 minutes pass, and still no food and the waitress hasnt even come to check on me or give me an update. I flag down the hosts again and tell him my dissatisfaction with the long wait time as well as where they sat me in the restaurant away from other patrons. He brushes this off saying they are very busy. Then my food comes, which was okay, but this poor customer service was enough to ruin the experience. I ate my meal and paid the bill shortly thereafter. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. They dont value patrons, and if youre black, just be prepared that you might be treated differently.

I have visited this new bistro restaurant routinely since its October 2008 inception. They consistently provide outstanding cuisine, in concert with friendly service in a very tastefully decorated, pleasant environment, at reasonable prices. Their portions tend to be LARGE. Their ingredients are FRESH. It is very difficult to choose just one entrée to savor on each visit. Lately my choices seem to favor the dishes with a Thai or Indonesian influence. The combination of sautéed seafood, chicken and Asian vegetables along with the Indonesian spices that provide a mild heat, make the Samba Delight a very tasty entree indeed. The Thai Casserole is another delicious seafood & chicken entrée that incorporates lemongrass, a mild Thai curry and other Asian herbs & spices that provide a fine-tuned spiciness to this dish. Be sure to try some of the many Pad Thai, Soba, Singapore & Udon noodle entrées. I would encourage your patronage of this unique restaurant. DO NOT let the “harpies from hell” review immediately below influence your consideration of this fine restaurant. The ranting, somewhat incoherent review put forth says much more about the reviewer than it does about the restaurant being reviewed.

A group of friends and I started going here for weekly/biweekly sushi lunches in June 2009. The sushi and sashimi were great quality and portion sizes were nice. The specialty rolls were yummy. Weve tried several other places in the general area and this quickly became our favorite. However, our recent experiences have not been very happy. One of our group ordered the standard sushi/sashimi lunch. When it arrived the plate contained a "chef"s special". The server and manager tried to tell us that the lunch menu was at the chefs discretion. Thats fine... if you state that in your menu. Items listed on the menu did not appear on the plate. The manager was VERY belligerent, rude, and raised his voice to my friend in the middle of the restaurant. My friend left without eating anything but she did make sure to tip the waiter. The manager, who needs a course or 2 on customer service, is constantly berating his staff. Our regular server, Jenny (sp?), is very nice as is most of the wait staff. The sushi has not been consistent. Im not sure if they rotate chefs or what but Im not going back until they have a new manager and neither are the rest of my group. Thats at least $50 a week out of their pockets.

I wouldnt even give this place a star. For the money that you shell out, the food isnt even worth a penny. The service was less than mediocre. We were served sushi that we did not order. We ordered a Fireball roll and were given a completely different item (lettuce, crab meat, cucumber, .. should have been lobster with avocado). We told the manager that we were not given the correct roll and pointed out to him what we wanted from the menu. Instead of taking the roll back and acknowledging that there might have been a mistake, he said that what we got is what we ordered. I asked him where is the avocado? He brought some browned avocado in plate and said that should take care of it. Im not saying he was malicious but what the heck is that? This place was not worth the money or time. Wonton soup was not good ... meat was extremely tough and the dim sim tasted just like the dumplings from the wonton soup. The only good thing there was the eel avocado roll and glass of water.

Went here to try it because we had a Groupon. Service was consistently slow even though there were only a handful of tables and plenty of wait staff and we had to flag down our waiter who was chatting with a coworker to get our check. It took at least 45 min for our sushi, General Tsos, and Sesame Chicken to come out, if not longer. Sushi was decent, but it wasnt rolled tightly/properly and almost every piece would fall apart when using chopsticks. Chicken pieces were overly large, which isnt necessarily bad. They just required multiple bites per piece and as leftovers the thick breading separated easily from the large chicken bits. Even with the Groupon it was still on the pricey side considering what we ordered including the cost of sushi. Their sticky white rice was excellent. Food was decent, but probably not worth the price considering the slow service and not well rolled sushi (though the sushi did taste good!).

Blue ginger is a delightful restaurant. The interior is well-appointed and tastefully decorated, offering an ideal setting for a romantic dinner or a casual meeting with friends. The sushi is simply astounding, with top-notch fish and a host of unique specialty roles. Look for the Mars, Kamikaze, and Golden Dream especially. The real highlight of the menu however is the duck. Several fantastic dished are available, including crispy duck and duck fajitas. By far the best however is the Wok Ginger Scallion duck. This culinary masterpiece features succulent duck dripping in a tantalizing sweet sauce coupled with onions, mushrooms, and beans. My girlfriend and I have been eating here since the place opened, and it has become our favorite local sushi bar! They are now serving a wide range of sake and specialty teas as well!

Save your money and go to any random Chinese Buffet. Or just microwave some Tostinos Pizza rolls, which will probably leave you just as satisfied. Service sucked, food was mediocre at best, and one of those in our lunch party promptly got sick after leaving. Could plainly see those who worked on the food unpacking it from wrappers which clearly indicated their food was frozen, thawed out...not fresh. It took forever to get our food, and the place was probably 15% full. Booths were cheap and poorly built, kept fighting the people behind me for the right amount of lean on the upper booth backrest. If you rave about how great this place is, you probably think Burger King is delicious too.
