Followed the advice of another Local Guide and tried the Mustard Cabbage with Pork and Szechuan Peppercorn Chicken off the Chinese menu (more authentic perhaps?). But the wife and I were fans of either dish. The chicken was spicy (good!) but submerged in oil. The pork had a unusual shape and texture made of small, inch-long strips. Steamed rice was as youd expected, plain and white, but the fried rice had no eggs or veggies. The carryout portions were large enough to make two meals out of per entree, but with a price to match, about $13 each. The service was friendly and very fast. I would try them again to find something I liked.

Great family owned restaurant with excellent authentic Chinese food. Their Americanized food (General Tsos, etc) is decent, but ask for the Chinese menu and prepare to be impressed. The Pepper Pot Fish/Beef/Pork is especially good, just expect some heat (Hint: Dont drink the broth directly. Really). Or be even more adventurous with the "Flaming Squid Curls." Their pot stickers and spring rolls are also excellent. Service is good, although the servers English varies from perfect to acceptable depending on who is working that night. Tends to be fairly empty on weeknights, but nearly filled on weekends for the weekend buffet.

The real thing. This is the sort of authentic Chinese cooking you just dont find in Ohio. Keep in mind they have two menus, a standard one for the less adventurous, and the good one with items like chilled beef tendon. Thats the one you want. Update 2016: still fantastic. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Ohio. Honest. But dont expect American standards like General Tsos chicken. And dont order off the tourist menu. Recommended dishes: shredded pork with mustard cabbage, smoked lotus roots, sezchuan peppercorn chicken, beef tendon

Cant believe these reviews. Nasty food! Authentic?. You people must not have ever traveled. Their food is disgusting. The rice is mooshy and its not jasmine rice. Ive tried this place twice thinking maybe they improved after the 1st try. Nope. Same thing. Ordered 3 different meals for a family of 4 and every one was gross. Barely any flavor at all and to top that the food gave a nasty after taste. If youve ever had good Chinese or Asian food you wont like this place.

Literally the worst Ive ever had. Dont get the pork because it was rotten. Dont get beef chow mein because you will only get a container of beef fat with a side of meat and NO noodles. If you work up the courage to try it, you will spit out more than you swallow, which I do not recommend unless you are in the mood to get up close and personal with your toilet bowl. Also ordered warsu gai with "yellow sauce" that was most definitely not a color on my color wheel.

OK I cant fault this place because it came up as a Chinese buffet. This place will not have your Standard General Tsos chicken. I honestly did not recognize over 70% of the food. The staff was extremely helpful even they could tell I was completely out of my element. In the end I was able to find some new foods to enjoy. The seats were half filled so I could tell that it must be a local well liked place.

Trust the Chinese... it is the BEST in Columbus! If you are an adventure eater.. try their hot pot (spicy & clear broth). Ma-La soup will numb your lips & spicy.. the clear broth is favor w/ fresh ginger... and you get both when you order. This is an authentic place. Not a location TRYING to be authentic. The owner & their sons ran the place + few employees, very nice ppl & likes to joke around.

Hallelujah. Ive finally found a Chinese restaurant in Columbus thats worth a damn. Their food is great; their meat is excellent quality; their sauces are tasty. Service was friendly and sweet, prices reasonable. Love this place, but I need to find something like this closer to campus. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. Dont say Moys. That is the most overrated piece of crap Ive ever eaten.

I had a very pleasant experience going to this restaurant. At first I was not happy with their lack of vegetarian food in the buffet/dim sum,I quickly got over that and ordered from the menu while the rest of my party had the buffet. The staff was very kind, recommending the different foods. The restaurant was also full of fluent Chinese-speakers who also seemed to be enjoying their food.

We visited this place several times and liked it before. This time it was terrible. We ordered five dishes for three people. 红油牛筋is not well cooked, it feels like plastic and i cant chew it completely. Pig ear contains more lettuce and that ruins the taste. 糖醋里脊has more flour than meat and tastes bad. The other two are OK.

As mentioned in other reviews, their weekend buffet is something that you MUST try. To be honest, I dont know why they label themselves as a Szechwan restaurant. On the menu, they have very good and local Taiwanese dishes. I wouldnt go their for their Americanized food. The taste, OMG!! The taste of Taiwan!

Great Chinese restaurant. We try to visit every time we are here in Ohio for business. Quiet, clean, and excellent food. So nice to see a family run place that has an authentic Chinese menu, in addition to the standard Americanized Chinese fair. Some of the best Mu Shu Pork I have ever had!

The food is not the same any more. Been to this place several times. My recent experience is terrible. The authenticity is nowhere to be found. Ordered non-spicy dish, but it came out spicy. My kids cant eat it. Schichuan spicy dish came out non-spicy at all. Terrible. January 2016.

Weekend buffet is the freshest authentic Chinese in town. Great dishes include: Szechuan eggplant, Octopus w/celery, Sauteed baby bok choy, Seaweed w/sesame and more including dim sum. Get there by 12pm because they have limited hours: 11:30 - 2:00 Sat & Sun

The four of us all enjoyed our food very much. Beef and shrimp was outstanding both times I have been here. Really BIG food portions that they serve here! Great and friendly service as well. I would recommend this place to a friend and I will be back.

The Chinese menu is absolutely huge and the food is beyond words. This place is a gem. The smoked lotus root was really good, the kidney was delicious and the fish... simply amazing. I will be here again! Get the Chinese menu!

Try the weekend buffet (lunch time), but let me remind you its not for the faint-hearted, many "authentic" chinese dishes like pork intestines, beef tripe, and all those goody goodness

That restaurant sucks. They overcharge and change your tips. I just gave 15 bucks and the bank told me that the final total is 20. WTF. So shamed of their actions!!!!
