Been here plenty of times with no major complaints. However tonight we arrived and waited 20 min to be seated. We were then told our table was just being cleared. At the same time another family came in and were told it would only be a couple minutes so they decided not to sit at the bar. We could see the clean empty booths from the waiting area. After a while of not being seated that family left, and after 10 minutes we finally went back to ask the hostess what the deal was (she was wrapping silverware) She said they were letting the servers catch up. I dont understand why she couldnt have sat us and told us it might be a few more minutes until we would be served. We said we were going to go somewhere else then, and she replied, "ok." What poor customer service. Dont tell your customers it will be a minute and then just let them stand there while you ignore them.

Was ok until the food came out. My fish tacos had bone in them..On top of that it smelt horrible. I tried one bite, and almost choked on a bone. So I told server I didnt want it, I would just have some of my wifes chicken burrito. then I noticed they still charged me $11.00 for the nasty fish tacos. I asked if it was a mistake and they insisted on charging me for something I didnt eat. I talked to the manager and she said a bone in the fish is impossible. So now I am a liar. I was completely calm and relaxed and tried even whispering so they sidnt feel offended in front of other customers. I will not be eating here even again. Way overpriced, and very very rude management. I wish now that I would have made a scene..

I ordered fajitas to go... Maybe Im spoiled from eating in Mexican town Detroit but these were not fajitas. More like grilled chicken on top of grilled onions and peppers. Also the rice does not taste authentic it taste like boxed rice. The food was not terrible but did not taste like fajitas whats so ever. And I only got 3 corn tortillas that tasted like the gross ones from the grocery store. Also the chips did not taste like home made chips you expect to get at a Mexican place more like out of a bag. I was disappointed. I just wish I could find food as good as the places in southwest :/

Sorry....NOT impressed...the chips and salsa were good.....the tacos...not so much...the other people at our table order other entrees...seriously, the pork looked like it had sat under a heat lamp for HOURS, NO one at the table liked their food.......El Charritos in Davison is soooooo much better, their food taste fresh...the chips, the salsa, the food...I only wish they served alcohol there and were located in Lapeer. Our 2nd time here...and our last...please get your food straight before you go bigger.. sorry, its just not good....less than a 1 star...and that is an honest review.

I love this place!! The menu has a nice mixture of Tex-Mex food (fajitas and chimichangas) and real authentic Mexcian food (pozole, chorizo, bistec, barbacoa). Try the carne asada steak. It melts in your mouth! As a bonus, you can enjoy a nice Dos Equis Amber or a local Frankenmuth microbrew on tap. I have taken both gringos and mexicanos to eat here and they all love this place. The restaurant is also run by one of the nicest families you will ever meet. Way to go Pueblo Viejo!!

First off the mild salsa looked like pizza sauce and taste like ketchup, the hot salsa had a slimy texture. The chips taste like they came from family dollar. My wife ordered chicken fajitas and the chicken was dry and cold with fake grill marks. It was clear that the food was fresh out of the freezer. Wrong place to take my wife for our anniversary. The food was nasty. Nachos puts this place to shame. If I could give the star rating a zero I would.

WAS Fantastic. Their take on the shrimp cocktail was a favorite of mine loaded with flavor, now a glass of undercooked flavorless shrimp and ketchup. My wifes burrito was doughy and more beans and rice than anything else. Maybe something has changed (ownership, management, head chef???). Still super friendly & attentive staff but the food is a real disappointment now. Was a favorite of ours will not go back again.

The Good: Friendly service, Good management, Nice Outdoor Seating. The Bad: Waitress asked how I was doing before she brought my dinner, Taco el Pastor was on the dry side and skimpy for the $3 price. Monster burrito looked impressive, but was mostly filled with shredded iceburg lettuce. Overall: Id go here again and give them another chance. They are trying to do a good job. ~ Roger Dodgers Reviews :)

For a long time this was one of my favorite Mexican places in Lapeer. I just left really disappointed. I ordered the fried guacamole balls as an appetizer and then a chicken chimi. The guacamole balls made me feel so nauseous that I had to cancel my chicken chimi order :/ server was very nice about it and didnt charge me for the chimi even though they had just started making it. I was just really bummed.

I have went here many times, but today was the last time. I ordered carryout which was wrong. I called to tell them the lady I talked to said she was the owner and would not let me speak. she was all about the 1 differences not about my order being wrong. To me its not about the money its about getting what I ordered. I will drive to sagebrush from now on.

One of the very best ...especially in the cultural vaacum that sadly is Lapeèr.Chili rellenos excell. Shrimp enchiladas...very fresh indeed.Rice cooked to perfection! Great waiters and kitchen staff....not Texas style, but real Mexico...Mex. I lived in Mex(DF) for almost four year, and can only say Pueblo Veigjo took me to a familiar place! .

Saw they had a special on Tuesday... Tacos for a dollar! Wasnt sure what to expect for a buck but this place was totally worth it! I had soft chicken tacos and they were phenomenal. The chips and salsa they give you for free or just as good. Looking forward to coming back again and trying everything else they have.

First time Krista & I have been here and it wont be our last, we love it. I had the combo meal & she had the chicken honey chipotle salad, both meals were great. Clean atmosphere, great wait staff, reasonable prices and damn good Margaritas! As Krista put it "Its my new favorite place".

I think its stupid that they dont do carry out for $1 tacos anymore we use to order 20-40 tacos almost weekly now hey there loss when you have a large family & kids that dont listen or a baby that gets fussy sometimes carry out is better & less of a headache
