***Updated Review**** (additional information) When I arrived, the gentleman asked if I would please show him the menu online that I referenced, and I did. He then said hed talk to the owner, because it would be "better to have it fixed so customers not confused, right? Yes?". Yes. The employee definitely took an interest in correcting confusing information and actively discussed plan to find out how to fix. Refreshing initiative. 5 stars for service. 4 stars overall. ***Original post*** Online menu is incorrect. Two things I tried to order didnt exist. It needs to be updated. Meal was planned based on menu and budget and in the end it cost way more for far less food. Food is decent, and staff friendly, just expectations and outcome were a letdown.

We ordered from the rice kitchen when we got the order it was wrong so we called to get it corrected the lady on the phone was rude cussing and threw the phone. They did correct my order but asked for the food they originally brought me i told then I had taken a few bites of the rice because I was hungry but eww what are you going to do with it (he took it to his car when there was a trash right by the door) we told him we were upset about the service when he arrived with our food and told him we wouldnt be ordering again and he said have fun with that nothing but a bad experience ... wondering if I should even eat this food

Ii used to order from Rice Kitchen frequently until recently there was a problem with getting my order correct. when i called to correct the order the staff was very rude, they told me that i didnt know what i had ordered and they wouldnt correct it. unfortunately because of this I will no longer order from Rice Kitchen EVER Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! however i have found another Chinese restaurant that is much better and has a far more respectable staff called Spice And Rice. if you have to choose between the two PICK SPICE AND RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food was OK, for bargain Asian food, you get plenty. However, the interior is in poor repair, rather dirty, and generally unkept. They simply prey on broke hungry college kids. The guy cashier has waist length dreads, that he doesnt bother to pull back. He actually delivered our food on a tray with them swinging around the food, disgusting! He apparently thinks he is too cool to be bothered with playing the part. He also was wearing very dark sunglasses, in the dark building, rather strange. They dont seem to care about your experience here.

The people who claim the food is poor at Rice Kitchen have not tried the right parts of the menu. I am veggie who eats fish so I order from the Special Diet Menu D4 and D5 are fantastic. Steamed veggies and big shrimp with a brown gravy on the side. Low cal lots of good ingredients. Yum! The crab rangoons are very good as are the spring rolls. This is a reliable Chinese take out. My only desire is for brown rice as an option instead of white rice only. The people who work there are nice too!

They are nice, fast delivery. Remember to ALWAYS tip your delivery drivers! They work solely based on tips & below minimum wage! I found this out after tipping the guy the night before & long behold I cut his hair the next day & he remembered me because I tipped him. He told him half the time they never get tipped. Remember karma & its a doozy.

Fast, good food, and good prices! I recently move to the area and am trying out the restaurants in the area to find my go to places, for my favorite food types. A colleague recommend this place for Chinese delivery. We work late now, and then and it is nice to have food delivered, to our office. The generals chicken is yumm !!

We had supper here while we are in town for the Alton Brown show at the Miller. We were delighted! Yummmm! Not a lot of space to eat in - limited tables, and felt bad to leave trash on the table, but did not see a trash can in sight. Great food. Have plenty left for supper tomorrow. Thanks. We would definitely eat here again!!

Worst customer service ever. Not only did they not even deliver my food, they were not kind about getting my refund. This is the second time this has happened, I waited 2 extra hours and they never tried to contact me. This place is shady and honestly if you want terrible service and unreliable delivery, you should go here.

AMAZING! Best in Kalamazoo. 1. The food tastes GREAT 2. They give you A LOT of food for the price 3. You cant beat the dinner combo price with the amount of food they give you. 4. FAST orders, too. I had my food in 10 minutes after ordering on the phone.. one time in only 5.

The Rice Kitchen is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Kalamazoo. Its not the best Chinese food I have had but its pretty good. The people who work there are super friendly and very helpful. I have only had delivery so I have no idea what the inside of the place looks like.

I use to order Rice Kitchen often back in 2003-04. It was always so good. I Just recently moved back in the area and decided to try it again. My family and I were VERY pleased. It tasted even better than i remember. Definitely doing this at least twice a month!!!

The food here is really bad. We used to get it at WMU because they have a huge delivery range but literally every other place is better. This is the Asian equivalent of chef boyardee. Everything Rice Kitchen has is bland and poorly done. You can do better.

Great food, however they only have 3 tables, and we didnt see a wastebasket to throw away our garbage. It seems most of their business is takeout so we didnt have trouble getting a table but felt bad having to leave the garbage when we left.

I was not very impressed by the flavor of the food. By no means was it worth the 15 minute drive when there is a much better places closer by. The service was good and fast, but I was not impressed with the quality or taste of the food.

The Food was Hot n Ready no pun intended the delivery time was shorter than expected and the delivery driver was very pleasant so much food could not eat it all delivery charge was only $1.50! Definitely Recommend!!!!

Great lo mein and fried rice if you ask for it to be spicy. But they are not as accommodating as other Chinese take-out restaurants for customizing your order.
