Great atmosphere, great concept, quality staff. We both had the house burger with truffle fries, mine was unfortunately rather on the gristly side whereas the missuss was gristle free. Bad luck I suppose. Good beer list with a solid selection of local brews on tap and in bottles. My only complaint is the absence of espresso/cappuccino for afters, which is really something that should come as standard for a place that bills itself as a fine dining choice. Gristle in burger plus no espresso equals 3.5/5. Otherwise, good effort and absolutely recommended. Very reasonably priced for someone accustomed to London and Chicago prices. Vegetarians beware: menu is heavily slanted towards beef and pork.

We had heard a couple people talking about it so we were intrigued. Its in the area I grew up in so we decided to make the hour trip and check it out with my parents. We knew it was a little pricey so we expected the food to match. Not the case. All of us were less than impressed. Food was mediocre (my "pork roast"/spiral ham had zero taste and my dads fish was mush). After we finished our fountain drinks the waitress offered us refills THEN told us no free refills. I dont think Ive ever been to a restaurant that doesnt give free refills. We had received a free dessert with purchase for being first timers and we didnt even use it. Not at all satisfied. Paid $25+ for my meal and left hungry.

We love visiting here. Being it is on the pricey side (like this type of restaurant should be) we come here primarily for special occasions. Birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, that sort of thing. Everytime they do something unexpected. From playing mine and my wifes song for our anniversary (along with a bottle of Sex, its a sparkling wine from L. Mawby, some for during dinner, and some for at home was the pun when gifted to us) to a hand written and signed birthday card, they know how to make the night feel special. Add the amazing food into all of that and its no doubt why we keep coming back. Its great to see this type of success in an unexpected place. Keep up the good work!

First time here today. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the pork leg filet. Both meals were delicious and carb friendly. We both ordered French Onion Soup, their version of it dosent use croutons and baked on cheese like other places. Our first time having it this way and it had a great taste to it. Im used to the other way and I love cheese so thats the only thing I didnt like as much. The desserts were great. We decided to move to the patio to eat our desserts as it was somewhat sunny and breezy but shortly after going out there it started a heavy down poor of rain so we went back inside. Great place. Check it out. Very friendly service.

Although I want to say it was great, it wasnt. Wish we would have just had the normal service, their food looked great, we had the chefs special seat, the arrangement made it impossible to talk to our friends, the drink waitress was rude, the chef was great but we left hungry. We had several courses including Mexican desert, cow toung, rabbit liver, and pork tenderloin, all very small one bite portions. Very cheap foods for a bill of $240 just for us, their was 8 of us. Thats only drinking coffee. Not my thing, I will probably be back to try the regular menu one day!

This place is fantastic!! The food was amazingly good and seasoned perfectly!! Each of our meals was done to perfection and everyone in our party loved every course they tried. We all loved it so much we were all sharing our courses with each other. Matt stopped over to say hi and ended up giving us recipes to their dressings. The whole staff is friendly and a joy to talk to. Their prices might not be low chain restaurant prices but their food was at a level of restaurants that charge much more! Great place that we will be going back to again and again.

A different place for sure. The service was good. I like that they are tring ro source locally but liquer needs to be left alone. If I want Jack I want Jack not some off brand wannabe. They seem to be trying a little to hard to be upscale with their dishes. Some of the pairings didnt seem to go together and if your gonna serve French onion soup it damn well better have onions in it and bread topped with melted cheese not some ice cold cream. Overall a good meal but not worth the price. Off I was to go back it would be only for the dessert.

This place is AMAZING. Hands down the best food I have had in the state of Michigan. Can not believe it has one star reviews about fountain soda refills not being free (which simply isnt true). Farm Field Table is a butcher shop and their brother company that processes a selection of their protein. Including the tasty Mulefoot heritage hogs that they raise 9 miles from the restaurant in Imlay City. Local produce is used even in winter months, as they passionately support local agriculture! Love the new location and all the staff.

If I could give it no stars I would. It was the worst experience I have had in a Resteraunt! The food was really really bad, I had my wife and son with me I ordered the mulle foot burger medium rare and it came well well done. None of the dishes were what we thought and all of them cold too. When I finally said something they compd half our bill but still charged us to the dessert course we didnt even get to. I paid 40 dollars for the worst french onion soup and then went to another restaurant starving....

Our experience was great. No, the refills may not have been free but this isnt McDonalds!!!! The prices are on the higher side but once again this is not a fast food joint. This restaurant is a great addition to our city. The portions were just right. Nothing thrown away or brought home but by no means were we hungry upon leaving. Congratulations guys on your beautiful new place. My husband and I will definitely recommend highly and will most definitely return soon.

Positives: food was very good. Smoked duck breast was cooked to perfection. Lobster pot pie was loaded with lobster meat. Decor and location are nice too. Negatives: dining room was quite warm and muggy. Service was pleasant and knowledgeable, but quite slow, which was concerning as the place now has a 20% gratuity fee included on all bills. Craft cocktails are about $10 each, but on the small side. Would I go there again?: Yes, but only for a special occasion.

Being born and raised in Hawaii I have always ate fresh caught fish. WITHOUT SKIN ... I hate skin! I would always scrape it off. But today when I had black bass at Mulefoot Gastro pub I could not get enough of the skin with the fish. Everything was absolutely delicious the micro greens, peas, potatoes... every bite in perfect harmony. Our server Alison was amazing and gave exceptional service and made my night a memorable experience. Thank you Mulefoot !

This place has awesome food and drinks! The owners are absolutely wonderful. You can literally watch the chefs cook your food in the open kitchen. The staff is all great. Emily has been my waitress every time Ive been there and she is absolutely amazing! She knows the menu very well and is very knowledgeable about the different courses and drinks. If you havent tried this place out yet you need too.
