This was a random stop on my part. I had some friends visiting from out of town who wanted to check out a specific brewery in Grand Haven, only to learn that the said establishment didnt serve food. A quick search on Yelp found Electric Hero (EH). Time for a new adventure. Since we were visiting in what is considered an "off season," EH was not busy. That didnt stop a plume of smoke from greeting us at the door like a bouncer at the nightclub. As our eyes adjusted to the food fumes, we saw a counter full of young ladies who looked eager to make a delicious meal while brainstorming the possible future of Greys Anatomy. Several people were in and out with takeout requests, so the smokey room was quickly explained. The menu is clearly listed on the back wall, full of enough subs and sandwiches to make a bread addict fall off the wagon. Since I could imagine the doorway gets quickly clogged, they also have a portable menu to browse while not blocking other hungry patrons. I elected a sandwich called "The Original Hero" (TOH) while my girlfriend had me order the "Chorizo Grilled Cheese" (CGC) for her, as we both ate half and shared with one another. While both were delicious, it was hard for me to allow her to take TOH away from me. It seemed way more full of flavor and excitement. My girlfriend preferred the CGC as it was a hot sandwich while mine was cold. My one gripe with the sandwiches was that they seemed smaller than I would have expected for the premium price we paid, $9 and $8 respectively. This didnt even include a bag of chips or drink. This is a town where money grows from some trees, so Im not surprised by the price, but I was still slightly hungry after I finished. I did take a trip to the bathroom to wash my hands, and I want to note that EH didnt have any paper towels available. Using a smokey room to air dry my hands seemed like an almost worst idea than washing them in the first place. I did ask for help, and was rewarded with some napkins. Could have been worse. Overall, this is the only and therefore best sandwich place I have visited in the Grand Haven area. Since my friends and girlfriend seemed to enjoy it as much as I did, I can approve.

Used to order here a lot. Ordered the same thing. The Smokey Swine with extra pork and extra sauce. I would get a different thing each time. They would put the extra (un sauced plain) pork on top of my bbq pork and bring me the sandwich. Id pay for extra meat and get less than there was before. They messed up so bad that when I started complaining they made me come in to watch them make the sandwich to make sure it was right. (thought that it was their job to know that) After multiple complaints the food kept getting worse. Paid for extra but got less meat than paying for the regular amount. Definitely suggest going elsewhere due to the fact that instead of trying to make it right ( i spent well over $150 there over a couple months) they would rather loose you as a customer. I would tip the driver every time as well because it isnt their fault. either way choose somewhere else

Dont get me wrong, the sandwiches are pretty good here (though rather expensive), but the customer service is absolutely horrible when you want something delivered! Every time I call its something different, and today was the final straw. I live in Ferrysburg, ten minutes from their shop and they tell me that they will no longer deliver to my house (never an issue the last 10 orders) because of new summer rules. Well I hope you dont need my business when winter comes and you arent busy anymore because I will go elsewhere!

I guess all good things must come to an end. :( I used to order the chipotlé chicken sandwich religiously. I loved it. Now apparently at some point without warning, they switched the chicken. They went from a thinly sliced deli chipotlé chicken, to a shredded rotisserie chicken of some sort, and it really does make a monumental difference in my opinion. Still a decent sandwich (hence the 3 stars), but definitely no longer a 5 star sandwich. Super bummed. Addiction officially kicked. :(

They looked at me like I was in the wrong place! Mind you it was my first time coming to this place. No hello or anything just a blank look. Also they may not get that many black people but still customer service should be given to every race. I ordered my food not really knowing what to get and hated the sandwich. Ive heard nothing but good things but I didnt get that. Thats my take on the place good luck!

The music was pretty chill, the food was phenomenal. Our soups were very flavourful, and our sandwiches were amazing. You can tell they tale their time in making them and the ingredients were extremely fresh! I recommend the Bacon Apple Gouda Melt. The flavour profile will amaze you!

Their food is DA BOMB! My favorite is the KGB on wheat, but Ive also tried the Doctors Club and the Italian Job which were both delicious as well. The staff is super friendly and go out of their way to be sure you get the sandwich you want. 2 thumbs way up!

Went with the recommended chipotle chicken sandwich. A little on the spicy side but overall a quality sandwich. Somewhat hard to locate, drove past it and didnt see a sign for it. Very small building, but just enough room for good sandwiches.

The location, staff, and atmosphere are great, but unfortunately the wrap I had was not good. The only way to describe it was that it was "wet." Im hesitant to go back, but Id be willing to give it a second chance at some point.

My husband and i were looking for something oon our way to ludington - stopped in and had not your grandmas reuben it was amazing!! Freah fast and the puckles are great too! With a nice rootbeer as well - highly recommend

The Electric Hero has quite an amazing menu. I opted for the Shooter McGavin, it was delish! The staff was prompt and friendly. The shop was bright and clean. My only regret is not eating here sooner.

Best sandwiches in Grand Haven without a doubt. There are other sandwich shops along Washington pretentiously claiming to have gourmet sandwiches, but EH tops them. Dont fall for their lies.

Never again. Spent $18 (no sides or drink)on two small sandwiches. The deli meat tastes like the same stuff we buy at Meijer. Still cant believe how small it was for $9 a sub!
