In Muskegeon for a weekend getaway, our family of five made Fatty Lumpkins Sandwich Shack our Saturday lunch stop. Arriving just after 2pm, we were surprised at how busy the restaurant was, but took that as a good sign. Once we reached the front of the line, the super friendly and helpful staff patiently answered all of our questions. Ultimately we ordered one kids turkey and cheese hoagie, two kids Fatty hoagies, one small Fatty hoagie, and a Caesar salad. With five sodas and tax, our bill came to $34.59, which felt pretty reasonable for a lunch for two adults and three kids.

Really great sandwiches, cool and friendly people and vibe in this little "shack". Nice options for sides including lots of flavors of "Dirty" potato chips, fruit salad, pasta salad, cookies. The only thing I would change is the meat supplier (Boars Head toutes themselves as premium, yet their meat has things like caramel coloring and other crud I dont want in my meat.) I really appreciate the GF bread options, my son and I wouldnt be eating here otherwise.

Wow. So Ive lived in muskegon three years and never heard of this place. Apparently I need more people :). My sandwich was delicious. The Zapps Cajun chips were awesome. I ordered a lemonade and it was watery. When I gentleman asked how my food was I told him about the lemonade and he replaced it immediately and apologized. Great service. Great music. Great atmosphere. I love little hole in the wall places such as these. I will definitely be back.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Muskegon. All the sandwiches I saw them make looked awesome! I had the ELT (egg salad) and it was the best egg salad sandwich Ive had in a long time. The staff was very friendly and even though it is set up as a fast food place, we were checked on multiple times to see if we were enjoying our food. I will be returning the next time Im in town.

Today was my first ever visit. The shop is small and nice. A cozy feel with a lot of wonderful staff. There is an original menu with gourmet style sandwiches and salads. A very nice, refreshing take on the typical sandwich/sub shop. The wait was minimal. Just all around a good experience. I know I will be returning soon to try more of their food.

Quality meat, quality bread, quality service in a unique setting. My normal fast food bill for a family of 6 is $35. Here it was $37. For the all around quality this was a GREAT value! Glad to support this local small business because they do an excellent job!

This place gets it. If you crave a freshly made sandwich made with the best ingredients, this is your place. I recommend the How Now Brown Cow, but all selections will melt your mind. Dont forget to try the pasta salad or any other of the specials they have.

I love a good sandwich place and Fatty Lumpkins Sandwich Shack nails it! Premium Boars Head meat in great flavor combinations. It is only open around lunch time and has limited seating so you have to plan wisely but it is definitely worth it!

Its a little expensive compared to, say, Subway but very worth it. By far the best sub shop in Muskegon. Decor is great, the only reason I rate it low is because the seating is very, very limited--but its not a big deal! :)
