Ive lived in the area for a few years but hadnt tried the Mega Coney Island until today. Not pleased with the experience, I sadly report. I ordered a Greek salad (a staple at Detroit-area coney island restaurants) ... though I appreciate that my lettuce was washed, id have appreciated it more if it had been drained. After several bites that tasted more like water than the very intense flavors I anticipated, i shoved enough of the salad aside to see the plate beneath. There was nearly 1/4 cup of water under the salad and quite a bit more visibly pooled in the folds of all of the lettuce. I asked for a box & told the waitress about my displeasure & my intention to take the salad home, properly drain it and redress it before I would be able to eat it. I handed her my plate full of water, but she made no effort to take it to the kitchen to show them, instead dumping it into the nearest bus tray. Beyond an apology, she made no attempt to correct or compensate for this inedible salad. I paid, I tipped, I came home. I seriously doubt that I will go back.

When we arrived at the table, the tip from the last customers was still on the table. From there our order was an appetizer of mozzarella sticks and two Bacon cheeseburgers with fries, one with only mayo and one plain, we received the burgers both of them with lettuce, onion, tomato and pickles. By the time we got out mozzarella sticks most of our meal was consumed. Once we got our bill we discovered that the waitress had written down the wrong burger meal and we had gotten mega Bacon cheeseburgers instead of regular Bacon cheeseburgers, which was an extra dollar a burger. Once I questioned it they took the extra two dollars off for the wrong meal, we went to pay for the meal she charged us for the original price, after she told us it was the discounted price, we only received the change for the original price and I had to return to ask about the remainder of our change.

Greek salad with chicken of course! I only eat Greek salads with chicken 4 days out of the week when I dine out for lunch. Very good salad with all of the necessary ingredients and lots of them including pickled beets. Dressing was a little too creamy for me but I was able to mix vinegar and make it right for me. Large portion, everything fresh and great flavor. Waitresses were very prompt and friendly, knew what they were doing and accommodated by bringing out the vinegar and oil in addition to the regular Greek dressing without that "what a crazy old man" look! Great atmosphere, close to the highway yet none of the distractions. I will be back!

Service was fine. Food was terrible. Crunchy pancakes (cooked with way too hot of heat), corned beef reuben tasted dried out and had a plastic texture. It looked like it had been the last of their prep scraps and sat out all day without being covered. Their grilled chicken greek salad used to be hands down, best ever. Now the Grilled chicken has no flavor, is chewy and dried out. Lettuce was browning. I let the manager know of our disappointment but she did nothing to make up for the poor quality. Definetly will be making the extra drive time to Fenton Coney next time.

Food and service is always good. Great coffee. Only downside are the customers who are mostly Q-tips and rednecks, who create a bit of an uncomfortable atmosphere. Prepare to be stared at the whole time if you are a minority, or not a regular from the area... but thats the Fenton and Linden area for you. Owner has an odd pension for only hiring young girls in their teens and 20s, kind of weird but the service is usually pretty good.

The service was great but the food was terrible. The ice water tasted horrible and could not even be masked with lemon. The hamburger was ordered with no lettus or mayo and it arrived at the table with both. The fish and chips had a hair in it. The Cole slaw was beige and tasted tangy. A 6.00 tuna salad sandwich does not include fries. Salad had a weird taste similar to the water the lettus was washed in. Will never eat there again.

This is always the first place we think of when we are going to breakfast with the family. The staff is always friendly and upbeat. The food is exceptional at very great prices. Over the years I have probably tasted everything on the menu and I have never been disappointed. I have even grown a slight obsession with any of the home made soups:) Its a true American diner and Im thankful its a restaurant in my community!

Ugh yuck!!! I never get anything for myself to eat outside of cooking it at home. I am so annoyed. I ordered the fish dinner and upgraded the onion rings and they both were inedible!!! The onion rings were soggy and hard to chew and the breaking on the fish was twice as big as the fish inside and chewy and thick and runny and soggy and mealy all at the same time. Never again. Oh. And DO NOT ORDER THEIR RANCH. Barf.

We were only going to get takeout but we decided to stay at the last second and we are extremely glad that we did. The food was excellent, best fish Ive had in a long time, and the shakes!! According to Zoey, I made it with my own hands! She was above exceptional, thanks for making our night out more enjoyable by only your personality and smile! We will definitely be going back to enjoy more Mega!!

I went to Mega with my family, and I just have to say, the food was great, the customer service was great and the scenery was excellent. I love the family friendly setting and the quality. Although with great things, something s can be improved. Perhaps a little more time between the time you come in and get your drink, and your looking on there amazing menu for food.

sara was my waitress and she was possibly the best one ive ever had. she was energetic, super friendly and attentive. i wish i could tell her boss directly how wondeful of an employee that they have so i hope someone sees this. its the little things in life and sometimes having someone super positive deal with your food experience can make your whole day. thank you.

Essentially a very large diner-like eatery. Visiting on Fathers day, the establishment was crowded, but our larger party managed to get seating within five minutes. The food is prepared well, but the portions are very large, and the environment is very loud. Its probably the best place Ive been to in Michigan with "Coney Island" in its name.

Okay food with okay service - you could do better, but youre already here (and the next Waffle House is a few hundred miles away). Youll wait longer than you should for the reheated leftovers you shouldve thrown out last night. Its okay because youre hungry anyway. Business opportunity: open a Waffle House...then invite me over.

I do like Mega. They have a pretty good waitstaff, and the food is generally pretty good. My only complaint is the price. 1 coney a small cup of soup and a pop cost me $9.00. I will continue to visit, I just wish their prices would come down, thats really the only thing i hear people complain about.
