I literally just stopped in there to get my food my husband has ordered food for me here before and I really enjoyed it so I thought I would come in myself to grab some while I was at work. When I first walked in I noted there young man arguing with the wait staff over his order. Now I was willing to wait for them to finish taking care of the obviously irate young man. But at the same time I am waiting to go back to work since I just stepped out for lunch. There were six people up at the register dealing with this young man none of them paid me any attention no one greeted me. Then a young lady walked in the door as soon as she walked in she was greeted and helped. This of course angered me as Ive been sitting there for about 10 minutes waiting to be served so I left. The food I had previously was good but the service is bad so I will not return.

Came here especially all the way from Ames, IA, because of their mouth-watering Instagram account. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The rolls are creative and taste even better than they look. We ordered a salmon avocado spiral, sea monster roll, spicy tabbouli roll and the tower. All tasted so good! There was also a miso soup that came with one of the dishes and it was perfect. Despite the busyness when we arrived, we were served in a reasonable time and the staff were friendly, especially our server who was patient with us even though it took us ages to order. Even with everything we ordered, it only cost $43, which is reasonable and definitely worth it.

At one point I loved dining here. But over time, the consistency in taste of the same meals Ive ordered over and over the last few times going, has changed drastically. The shrimp look or taste Boiled first, then later placed on grill drowned in garlic butter which then makes the shrimp texture alot tougher than it needs to be. This place is hit or miss. Id be lying if I said I never enjoyed dining here, but the consistency of service is off! The manager/owner stands around like an overseer and when you complain doesnt seem to want to make the customer happy. And if he isnt present, the girls dont know what to do handle customers concerns.

Terrible experience, went here tonight with my lady and the server forgot the straws when she sat us down with water, no biggie at first but she came back to the table 2 MORE TIMES without them after insuring that she hadnt forgot. Then 2 other servers came out to bring us our food we got 1 water fefill. Originally we ordered everything at once as in appetizer, and main meals with extra butter garlic sauce. When we got our food we didnt receive it. After 3 TIMES asking for it! Service wise, dont expect a great experience. The waiters are rude (2nd time here) but the food is exceptional. I recommend the Yakisoba w/ chicken.

Amazing Variety. So many unique options that Ive never seen before. We had Tokyo Drift (Fresh tuna, cream cheese, jalapeno & avocado rolled & fried then drizzled with our house sauce), a BANANA ROLL (Banana tempura, sweet potato tempura, cream cheese, rolled with soy paper and drizzled with our secret sweet sauce) and MEXICAN ROLL (Spicy tuna, jalapeno, cilantro, avocado rolled & fried then topped with spicy crab, scallions, jalapeno, spicy mayo & tapatio sauce). We used the banana roll as a desert. It was all great. I totally recommend the place because of its variety.

Wasnt a sushi eater but wanted to try something different. Prior to eating here all my previous attempts to try and enjoy sushi failed. But I came here to try again based on other reviews and was pleasantly surprised. The sushi here is absolutely delicious! Very creative menu, lots of variety for different pallettes, service from my waitress was great, she knew exactly what to recommend based on my preferences. This will be my go to sushi joint from now on. The Hibachi food was good also but not as delicious as the sushi. You wont be disappointed at all.

We randomly found this place on our way home from an appointment. We had the avocado app with tuna which was awesome. We had the sushi ko salad, which was large enough for both of us to share. The sashmi was fresh and the manager was great and chatted with us when he brought us our sushi. The server was nice and checked on what was fresh that day, however had very little knowledge on the fish. It wouldve been nice if they had a special or fresh fish menu up. The rolls all looked good, but I wish they had more option without tempura or fried.

The food is great! My first time here was great. My second experience was horrible. The hospitality is horrible I waited 15 minutes just to be ignored the whole time I was there I. Tried to get their attention but I was ignored and a man cut in front of me that was of a different race and she immediately got to him I feel disrespected and I dont think I will ever be going back to this establishment again I feel like they pick and choose who they feel like theyre going to serve when they feel like it and I feel like its very unprofessional.

Absolutely horrible experience. Stopped in on a Saturday when there wasnt many customers in the restaurant. I stood by the register and was ignored for about 10 minutes. After asking someone if I could have a seat, they told me I could sit at the Bar. After sitting down, another 10 minutes passed with no menu or any acknowledgement of my presence. This angered me, so i walked out and passed 3 other customers who had been ignored longer than myself? No way in hell Id ever step foot in this place let alone recommend it!

Can I give six stars? Each visit it gets better. The service is second to none. On this visit, the person taking my order was looking for ways to save money. Just so happen because of the company I work for I got a discount. The food is amazing. Many different sushi rolls for the novice to the avid fan. I usually get the lunch box which is a great value for $11. It comes with rice, a protein like steak, California roll, two spring rolls and ginger salad. Each component was perfectly crafted and satisfying.

I would like to rate this place higher, because I think Xushi Ko has some really good sushi choices, but I REALLY wish they could provide better service, especially at lunch time. When I go at lunch, I only have about an hour to eat and get back. It really cant be done here. The servers are not attentive to the needs of their customers. Waters dont get filled when they should, and meals just take way too long. But if you are going and you arent in a rush, this could be a great place for you to enjoy some sushi!

Went here for dinner with a work colleague. Overall it was quite good. Its not a large restaurant, but there was an abundance of staff, so the service was quite good. I had 3 rolls, including one with crawfish - a new one for me. The rolls were quite fresh and tasty. The ones labeled as "spicy" were actually spicy to my taste. In the mood for sushi and near Ford Rd. and Southfield? Check out this place. I dont think youll be disappointed at all.
