My wife and I were in the area visiting family and decided to try something new since this restaurant had so many positive reviews. let me just preface this by saying this is one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had and we have eaten at quite a few restaurants. The service here is quite possibly the worst I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I dont know if they were short staffed or what, but it appeared there was only one person attending to the tables during the lunch hour on a weekend. We never received the bread we were promised numerous times, my wife never got her meal as she was originally given something completely different than what she ordered, we never received drink re-fills and it took forever to get the check. We were in there almost 1.5 hours, which is absurd for a weekend lunch when there are only 3 or 4 other tables occupied. They did offer to make my wife the correct meal, but after waiting in there for so long and struggling to get the waitresses attention, we told them to just take it off the bill since we were ready to get out of there. I wasnt about to endure the torture for another hour. My chicken shawarma sandwich was decent, but the pita tasted store bought and it was pretty small...Im glad I also ordered the fries with it! The timing of the food was also very weird as my wifes wrong dish arrived 20 minutes after I received my sandwich. I am not sure what the appeal is, but I would never subject myself to this torture again, let alone recommend to my worst enemies.

Worst Service EVER,,, STAY FAR AWAY,,,, many BAD service reiews around the web 04/24/14 • DOESNT LIKE IT You know I was treated as a person from outer space,,,never ever has this happened to me as a Food reviewer eating at thousands of places,,,our group of 4 entered at 12:45 today and took the large booth near the front door because of the natural sunlight to take my photos. I went to the restrooms and when arriving back at table no menus, no silverware,,, no nothing. So I grab 1 menu for another booth then went to cashier to ask for another menu,,, I ask who is going to wait on us,,,no response waited another 5 minutes went to ask 2 other waitresses who going to wait on us,,, both just looked at turned and walked away. Now get this at least 20 other folks entered in our time there and went onto the other side of the restaurant and had water bread and menus within a minute,,,OK one last time I go to cashier ask who and when will we get service,,,, he grabs menus and follows me back to table I ask one final time who is our waitress,,,,he didnt know,,,So now I let out a LOUD F U,, your all ass H*** so everyone could hear,,,,, NEVER EVER HAD THIS HAPPEN,,,I will post this review on at least a dozen sites,,,,,, BE WARNED SOME FOLKS ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS PLACE,,others has said in the there reviews on other sites multiple times.

This is by far the BEST Middle-Eastern resturant in Dearbron, and I have been everywhere. Their protions are very generous. Their hommus is one of the best ive had. Tabbuli is delicious. The owners are very friendly and personable. Anytime we have guest we bring them here and they are blown away with how delicious and fresh (especially the Falafah hard to find freshly home-made falafah now a days) the food is and its reasonably priced. GREAT JOB country chicken!! I do want to add my husband is Yemeni and we are always greeted and treated very kindly and the owner knows us by a first name basis. I read a review that said they were prejudice towards yemenis, that is very upsetting if this is how you treated. I cant speak for the cook or any of the other workers, but I am for sure its not the owners and they would not tolerate such ignorance. I will be sure to let them know about that incident on my next visit.

My family and I had dinner here. It was our first time. We werent impressed by the food, it was OK. However, we were really disappointed with how we were treated. The cook came out and asked in a rude tone What are the Yemenis having? The restaurant was empty and we were the only Yemenis there. Soon after that he kept passing by our table and then started chit-chatting by us with the waitresses saying mean stuff about Yemenis. We couldnt bare such prejudice and left without finishing our food. They spoiled our appetite. Never again!! They have no clue on how to treat customers! Highly unrecommended restaurant !! Go somewhere else friendly. Dont bring your family here or buy from them, especially if you are Yemeni. The place is very dirty tooo!!

Middle Eastern. Very good, only eaten here once so far but will come back. The bread and garlic sauce are not included with all meals but i will attest to ut being delicious and fresh out of the oven. Fast service, good eats. Eat here all of the time, fast courteous service and excellent food consistently. Your gonna spend at least $12 but its worth every bite........ Best middle eastern bread in Detroit.

This place is the best. I will never stop craving their sweet rolls with whipped garlic oil. Portions are generous and delicious. Hummous is the most fresh I have ever tasted. The meat and chicken shawarma, the salad, lentil soup, smoothies are all fanstastic. Great prices too. Best Middle Eastern restaurant in MI yet.

A local favorite known for their chicken (both shawarma and tawook) and generous portions. The service has always been very good as well. You can see the bread being baked as you enter the restaurant - its great with the garlic sauce. Try the chicken shawarma lunch special with hummus and fattoush.

This is the best hands down Lebanese lunch place in Dearborn. Ive tried a bunch, always trying to find something that beats this place. Best food, fattoush salad with Chicken shawarma. That stuff is addictive. I used to have it 3-4 times a week for dinner, it was cheap and yummy, great combination.

I now have mixed feeling about this place. Dont plan a quick lunch at The Country. It took nearly an hour & 45 mins to get in and out for lunch. All of our orders were simple sandwiches & a salad. The place seems to be dirty too. The table we were sat at was filthy.

The food & service is amazing if you get the night shift. But I just went today and realized that the morning afternoon shift is terrible rude & gives out cold food. Ruined everything I liked about the place.
