I didnt expect to be writing this review but after my experience here at this establishment I decided that just wasnt an option. The public should know that whenever youre in the commerce area THIS is the place to eat. My father and myself just happened to be working in the area today and were on our way from commerce to saline when we realized neither of us had eaten breakfast yet. We work in construction so after our first job of the day we were pretty dirty, tired, and famished by this point. We needed a place to escape the humidity, that wasnt in a heavy traffic area or surrounded by road workers and construction barrels so we could get in and get out. We were thinking cheap, fast, indoor food like a Leos. A quick glance at nearby food options on google left me to choose between a place called Eddies and The Commerce Breakfast Club. Well I picked a winner with the the breakfast club. When we first walked in and looked around we thought for sure we were in the wrong place. The atmosphere here seemed a lot more feminine and fancy than what wed expected. Nicely patterned carpeting covered the floors throughout, vinyl tablecloths with floral print were draped over every table and atop every table was a menu, centerpiece, and silverware all perfectly arranged so that upon being seated there is nothing left to concern yourself with other than what you want to eat. Much to my surprise they did not turn us away but instead allowed us to seat ourselves and after which a waitress had arrived promptly to serve us. It took a few minutes to mull over the menu and decide what to eat because although slightly small in size it was not lacking in variety. The selection of food choices here alone is enough to grant them 5 stars for, all of the usual diner options with plenty more like Mexican or Mediterranean style dishes and even more uncommon alternatives like their seafood breakfast bowl. My father was looking for a health conscious meal while I was seeking something more hearty and fulfilling. Eventually I decided on the "Irish Morn" (scrambled Dijon eggs, corned beef hash and rye toast

Despite visiting this restaurant in the past with no problems, I will NEVER go here again after my experience today. I was there with my 75-year old mother and my daughter. We were enjoying a late breakfast and catching up. We got there at 12:45 and were still talking when I noticed that the place was getting empty. (It was not crowded when we showed up or at any time during our visit.) My daughter said they close at 2:30 - we were fine. At 2:10 p.m., I asked someone who was bussing tables if it was okay we were still there - she was nice and said it was no problem. When we did go to leave at 2:15, a man was clearing things from our table and I said to him "Im sorry, were just leaving" and he responded with "yes, you are" in an unjustified rude tone. We were shocked with this exchange - it came out of no where. Ironically enough, we had just decided to meet there again next week for lunch and my daughter said she no longer wanted to go there. We all agreed. As we walked out, my mother asked the man if he was the owner and he replied yes. She then informed him that we would not be returning to the restaurant because we felt his comment was rude. He responded with "thats okay, it doesnt matter, theres plenty of other people that will come". We are still in shock at this mans rude behavior and lack of care for his customers. Every customer matters and he just lost 3 as well as the rest of our family.

ive been a customer at the farmington hills store for 5 years. since the commerce location has opened, everytime i go the service is atrocious. it takes forever to get seated even when the place is dead, the waitress doesnt check on you at all or fill your water or coffee, and doesnt check on you until your food comes out. at this very moment, i am sitting with my coffee empty for 15 minutes. wishing i went somewhere else for lunch. UPDATE. Walked out because i had to wait for the manager to come talk to me after i had to call from my phone from the table i was sitting at. called farmington hills to talk to my favorite owner just to find out they are no longer associated with the commerce store because they are so incompetent. will be bringing my business back to my favorite farmington hills ladies that i adore and understand how to run a successful restaurant.

I was told good things about this place, but I was greatly dissatisfied. We were there with 5 adults and 5 children. I had the big breakfast (a little overpriced at $8.95) and all of the items were lukewarm. I dont usually complain about stuff, but when they forced us to leave because they had another reservation it prompted me to write this review. We were told by both the waitress and the manager that we had to leave. I have never had this happen to me before. My sister was in town from Germany meeting with her sorority sisters. They only see each other a few times a year. Too bad their meeting was cut short by this. Maybe they could take a lesson about customer service from the Europeans, where you have to request the check.

The food is very good, they have great desserts. Some of the prices however are a bit high, the childrens plates, in comparison to the amount of food you are getting are highly overpriced. Their drink prices are even more ridiculous. I usually order take out from here so I never eat in. I have never ordered drinks however on my most recent visit I took my son for breakfast and was charged $6 for apple juice with no refill and $5.50 for a coffee. Wont be getting drinks there again. My guess is that they have to make up their money somewhere with the "complimentary" chocolate strawberries they give out. The wait staff is pleasant, however if you are there on a busy day expect them to be rushed.

The Breakfast Club is a unique experience. Dont be fooled by the dated, but homey look, the food served here is rivaled only by the experience and heart of the wait staff. As my girlfriend aptly described "its like having breakfast at grandmas house" with flavorful food, calm and friendly servers and a decor that could only remind you of grandmas house, I couldn’t agree more.

I had eaten at the 10 mile location before and was blown away. (I had the Oven Baked French Toast there and Simply WOW!) This time I had the French Toast with caramel and bananas. I have to say, I didnt care for it. It was a little dry and bland. The bananas also tasted odd, it could be me. Service was decent enough. Definitely worth a try.

The menu was so interesting. Thai Chicken omelette, breakfast enchilada, crab cake benedict, etc. Lots of standard breakfast fare, too (I had a bacon, tomato, cheddar and avocado omelette.) It was the details that I really enjoyed, the plating, flavored creamers, the toast. Friendly staff, reasonable wait, clean. I will definitely go back.

Arrived at 10, and was seated. There were about four or five other tables and plenty of wait staff, but by 10:30 we left because no one had bothered to acknowledge us beyond the initial seating. Terrible first impression and I wont be going back; I had heard great things from friends and am beyond disappointed.
