I worked at west land golden corral for about a month before i had enough. I felt like the manager was always breathing down my back if i did something wrong hed always point it out but never once did he compliment me on a good day. I felt like every day I went im he always had something to say. One day as i just walked in and another waitress was turning over her tabled he came up to me and said u need to get rolls on the bar so i turned around to do it and saw another manager had just grabbed them, so i turned around to bus my tables then went to the dishroom to clear and drop my plates off and then was gonna go check the rolls because I no they are one of are popularist items so as im doing the the genreal manager dave came back and said " I told u to put rolls on the bar if i have to tell u again you can clock out" I just bit my toungue and said ok. Then I had another insedent where i had a costumer complaining that their eyes where burning what was it from i said im not sure and informed him he said it was from the chopping onions all he could do was turn on the fans. After about 5 mins i asked her if she was any better she said no and i felt so bad because her sons eyes where watering so bad it looked like he was crying (mind u i asked my other tables to and they said that their eyes where also bothering then to) so i asked her if she wanted me to get her a couple carryout boxs and she said no honestly its my moms birthday we came out to have a nice dinner with her by the time we get home the foods gonna be cold. I told her i totally understand is their anyway else I can solve the problem I didnt want her leaving unhappy, she said all she wanted was a refund I told her its not in my power to do that but ill glady get the manager over she said that it fine. So i go and get him and told him a table wanted to talk to him about their eyes watering they want a refund he said basicallly that wasent going to happen. Went over there and told the lady they dont do refund he will give her a carry out box, she said fine and put her food in the box. Then asked me if i dont mind can she get one more to take some dessert i said i will ask the manager i dont see it being a problem. So I go ask him and he said what for I said dessert and he asked if they where taking anything off the buffet i said not that i no off the just want some dessert. He said fine only that one. First off i find it very shocking that he would ask if the where taking anything from the buffet when her plate sat for prlly 10 mins and she only took a couple bites. He should of let her take HOT food from the buffet not cold food thats been sitting at her table and plus there was like 8 people and he only gave 2 boxs that is absolutly ridiculious. I feel he is a horrible manager ive never had a manager treat me or customers as bad as he does

Absolutely horrible when I entered this establishment the manager was yelling at a lady very loudly about stealing chicken and told her she needed to get out. And then walked her to the door and told the cashier ladies in a very loud manner that she was not allowed back in the store because she was stealing chicken. When she asked if she could buy a to go buffet he told her to get out and she was not welcome there. I understand that this manager goes by the name of Jeff. I hate to tell him but that is no way to deal with somebody I understand what she did and I do not condone what she did but there is a way more professional way to handle this that to yell at the lady and make a scene in the restaurant had I not already paid for my meal I would have simply turned around and walked out. To think that this store would promote a man like this into a management position is absurd. After observing this I proceeded to the buffet where there was no chicken no was mash potatoes no Black Eyed Peas no catfish and no macaroni and cheese. Another employee came out of the Vick of store with no name tag on and started yelling at the back where the other employees were working telling them they needed to get stuff on the buffet. And proceeded to holler out the items they needed when one lady said that they did not have any mashed potatoes ready and that it would be 5 minutes this guy berated her and told her that she was stupid and that she had no clue what she was doing and that she should go back to cooking school and figure out the times when they need to have product out. I dont know if he was a manager or head cook but for him to talk to someone publicly like that in front of everyone in the store was absolutely unnecessary and it had many people shaking their heads. I will definitely be calling their corporate number in speaking with someone about the behavior of the management in the store cuz no employee deserves to be talked to like that and although this lady may have been in the wrong for what she was doing when she was feeling the chicken there is a different way to approach her for that instead of yelling and making a scene like a two year old child would. I will not be returning to the store for the simple matter and management have no clue what theyre doing. I will say that Billy was my server and he was extremely good at what he did my drinks were always full I never got past the halfway mark before he had another drink for me he was very prompt in asking if there was anything he could do to make my visit more pleasurable. 5 stars for Billy and they need to just get rid of the management in the store I have never in my life seen such poor management.

Dont get me wrong, i enjoy eating here and even have a favorite waiter here. But every time i come here, im literally waiting in line for no less than 10-15 minutes. Dinner prices are absurd. Dont like how lunch is about half the price of the dinner but serve nearly the same exact thing. Last time i came here, it was me and my ma. We told the lady that we had someone else coming, my Aunt. She said okay, and sat us down at a table for 2. Mind you, this place is packed with at least 20 kids running around. My Aunt gets here, so we pulled a chair up to the table, no big deal. Then the lady told us we had to move to a different table because we had more than 2 people, which we told her from the start. There were literally no tables open and we stood around looking stupid with our plates and drinks in our hand, with kids running back and forth, bumping into us, trying to find a damn table with no help from any of the waiters or whatever the hell you call them. We eventually found a table but was filthy and was trying to have someone clean the table. Stood for another 5mins after that. When we were done eating, i tried to gey cotton candy to go for my 2 year old niece and 1 year old nephew. Literally waited about 25-30mins because the lady kept giving the cotton candy to everyone that arrived after me and then kept running out and had to make more. I eventually told her off and she stated that she wanted to get the kids first. I dont eat cotton candy, its too sweet for me, but it was extremely rude to skip me several times while i waited patiently to obtain the cotton candy so i could get the hell out of there. Billy is my favorite waiter but he wasnt my waiter that night. I still found him and gave him a tip rather than all of the other assholes because other than that night, he always made sure inwas satisfied and in good hands. Ill start eating at Fire Mountain up the street for now on though.
