Oh my world, truly the worst experience today on Fathers day I had ever been through. I did more work than our waitress did, who warned us that they were down a cook. Okay, so, being understandable, I said we just ask for coffee and cream and then we dont mind waiting. She brought coffee, we asked for cream, then 15 minutes later, had to flag her down for more coffee and CREAM. We had already asked the table next to ours if they could spare their cream. They were very generous. We were chilling with coffee and 40 minutes later, the waiter who was serving the table that kindly donated their cream for our coffee.. their waiter was attentively serving his patrons who were enjoying their meal. I had to flag down our waitress who immediately told me we were the next ticket. I said "no, can we get more coffee and cream and some silverware (spilled coffee)" She comes back with a bunch of napkins with silverware she just drops on our table, gives us a dirty glass with cream stacked in it. 40 minutes after this, a portion of our food arrived. Oh yeah, the random cook, bus boy, dont know... said he had more and would be back. My breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, toast (instead of hashbrowns) and strawberry crepes. I got the crepes and toast, Ken thankfully got his full breakfast. Spencer had meat, no pancakes. The stand-in waiter comes back to the dining room 4 TIMES and proceeded to not even make eye contact with us and completely serve 3 other tables. Im very patient and rarely do this but i got up and asked for the manager. There was another lady waiting for the manager too. Same reason. Rest of the story, manager never even looked in our direction after he crawled out from hiding in the kitchen, returning 3 times. We were completely ignored. I had never EVER walked out of any restaurant like we did today. I love ihop but we will never, EVER go back to this piece of crap establishment in Novu on Grand River. IHOP, youre lucky you finally (finally!) Got my husbands meal to our table on Fathers day or I would have been screaming bloody hell curses at you, I detest your example of management and currently reporting my most horrible experience EVER to your corporate office. Shove your pancakes my son never got, the nasty cream you finally got us, your bacon and eggs, cold crepes and toast up your lazy incompetent a$$ !!! F!@! OFF!

Hey yall I just wanted to give you a review on IHOP Novi , I just got home avoid it. The greeter was nice and sat our party immediately, the place only had only one table filled. The beginning turned out OK took drink orders brought them to the table. Then asked if we were ready to order yep. Got our food within 15 mins, had to flag down the waitress for drink refills after not being check on. Got asked if we were splitting the check said yes 20-30 mins go by still waiting on check had to flag down waitress again: her excuse was she was waiting on a manager to split the check so here Im just sitting here twiddling my thumbs like LA de da; another 10 minutes go by nothing . Finally get our bills one of us paid cash & one card. Waitress comes back saying she didnt have change for a $20 , went up to another waitress they got out theyre purses and started digging for change. The management should know any establishment should at least $200 worth of change at a time especially in dinning establishment. There also wasnt a manager in sight. There wont be a next time visiting, theres no excuse for poor service or burnt Bacon. Ill just take an extra 20-30 minutes and drive to the Brighton IHOP

For a location that is open 24 hours i feel as though you should still be equipped to handle customers at any level. With that being said, i work midnights and our staff was wanting to order breakfast from ihop. We had to call 4 times before someone finally answered the phone. They were out of 3 of their breakfast choices and still managed to mess up 2 out of the 4 orders placed. Upon arrival to pick up the orders the associate only had cash, no change, so any of the orders that paid with cash (3 out of the 4 that we had) were shorted on their money back. If we wanted to leave a tip thats fine but not having that choice shouldnt be an option. After paying for the items we sat and went through them to make sure everything was correct ( which it was missing a few things) the associate disappeared into the back for about 10 minutes. There was a small group that had been sitting in, who was now trying to pay and no one was around for service. We had to go get someone out of the back to correct our order and tend to the group that was trying ro pay and leave. The only reason why im giving this 2 stars is because we actually got food.

I give this restaurant a 5 star. I live in Northville and decided to try this today, Sunday. The place was very busy, however that did not compromise the service or food. In fact, we were greeted at the door. Because we had a torrential down pour of rain, there was even a manager directing the best place to park, opening the door, and greeting us. We had not one but two servers to our table and another assistant. They did not over serve, but knew how to serve professionally. Two managers were available and made sure their guests were happy, comfortable, and enjoying themselves. We ate the crepe combo and a breakfast crepe and both were fantastic!! The price was great, and they leave a full pot of hot coffee at your table. I will return to this IHop for their superior leadership, service, and food. Thank you for a great experience.

Arrived around 1130/12 with a few people Waiting. Looked in the dining room and seen numerous tables open and dirty. Staff wandering about and gossiping with each other "shift leader" at the front counter folding kids menus and not assisting or directing. Finally, after 15 mins of waiting we finally seated at a filthy table with menus...waited 5 mins and no server even came to our table, but they had time to hang at the sever stand talking. Finally got up to leave, stopped by the front desk to ask for a business card for the general manager and the "shift leader" refused to give me one and asked if everything was alright and I told her no and tried to explain my feelings. ...she came up with excuse after excuse and then just waked away, so we walked out. I will be contacting upper management for this restaurant because they need some help!

This was the worst experience I have ever experienced at any of the IHOP Restaurants. Arrived at 11:12 p.m. and was told to have a seat anywhere on the left side we took a seat was given a menu and whats not helped the hostess approached a waitress named Amanda and said, " this table need to be helped, are you going to help them?" , and to my daughter and I she boldly said , "NO". You would have thought we were enemies and we never crossed paths. Of course my daughter was very upset and yes we did start to leave, but I just had to address this matter while it was still fresh. Shortly there after without me telling or losing my temper, Amanda came over and apologized to myself and my daughter, but there was still a little tension in the air but not on my part. This server Amanda just need an attitude adjustment.
