I no longer live in Michigan, but I make a point to visit the Clawson Grill when I am in town. Normally I would rave about the service and the food, but this last time I was there (Sunday, July/2017) I was disappointed in both. The waitress was not happy that I helped myself to the coffee after waiting too long for her to serve it me and those that were with me. I had Eggs Benedict. I once wrote that it was the best Eggs Benedict I had ever had, but I couldnt even come close to saying that this time. I should have questioned how the hollandaise sauce appeared, but I didnt. It was thin and did not even look like hollandaise sauce. I ate it and by 4 pm that day I had terrible stomach cramps and was running to the bathroom. This last visit was a huge disappointment. I didnt recognize any of the staff. The staff that I was used to seeing there (they made the visit enjoyable because they cared) did not seem to be there. I may have to cross this place off my list of favorite places to eat when I come to Michigan in the future... sadness.

Clawson Grill is one of my favorite Restaurants, the breakfast is amazing! I especially like the Omelettes, and the french toast! My Family and I have been there many times, The Clawson Grill never fails to satisfy us. The summer is my favorite time to go to the grill the beautiful patio makes the Restaurant even more enjoyable. I really recommend The Clawson Grill to anyone who wants to have great food, and service for a reasonable price.

This place has terrible food. I ordered the breakfast bowl, and was actually a dinner bowl!!! Thats not what I ordered and the waiters said to deal with it. Cmon, thats terrible taking care of customers. It took 4x + (400-300) = 200. Solve for x and thats how many minutes it took to sit down. Thats a lot. Lol Im joking its a good place to eat 5 stars

The food is decent, the portion sizes are large, and the coffee good. What more do you want for a small diner off of main street? The best part is you can park right in front and walk in. You know all the regulars and the staff never changes. If your going for breakfast I recommend the Genies Omelette.

Best bang for your buck in Oakland county! I love the corned beef hash for breakfast and the rotating menu of soups that are always top notch. Having pumpernickel bread is a huge difference maker for me. Gals like Stephanie, Cheryl and Angie really make this place stand out even more.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast! Authentic American diner food, fast service, always happy servers, and a lot of food for the money. Love the patio on a Sunday morning in the summer. Perfect place to meet with friends or grab a Sunday morning breakfast after a late night.

The service was great they are very nice. Everyone on duty of they walk by you they stop to ask how you doing they check on you. Not just your server. And the good I ordered was good. A clean and fresh homemade taste. My first time Ill be back. Clean bathrooms a real plus.

Our After Church Stop, Sundays!! Eggs Benedict, is the BEST!! Pancakes, waffles, and Omelette, are to DINE 4!! The Best coffee, in Clawson, Large portions, the price is Right $$! They added on last year, and outside seating is always NICE!!

Cozy little diner with a lot of food options, you wont find anything overly fancy or upscale here, but thats not the point. Good old fashioned "comfort food" at great prices. Weve come here a lot and have always left satisfied.

At night it looks closed if you come up on it from the south side, so dont be fooled. The staff is friendly, service is quick, and prices fair. I strongly recommend the tuna.
