I have been eating here regularly for about a year now, trying various items on the menu. I have tried a few combo dishes, the lo mein, egg rolls, and many other things. I have to say, that the food here is mediocre. The fried rice isnt all that great. They dont have Moo Shu- instead they have "Asian Chicken Wrap" as a house specialty and its not the best Ive had. The crab rangoon is average. The fried shrimp was disgusting fried O shaped rings, like chicken rings from White Castle made of shrimp. The pot stickers are the only thing that taste how theyre supposed to taste. Sesame Chicken has a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top, not cooked in with the sauce, and like 2 pieces of broccoli. HOWEVER I will say that the broth they use for the Wonton and Chicken Rice soup is AMAZING. I am a huge fan of their soup, especially when I am sick. Everything else I am not every excited about eating.

All 4 egg rolls were burnt and half their ingredients were not chopped up. It was like taking a bite out of a string roll. Rice was old and tasted like it was re heated in a microwave. The beef n broccoli was ok. But the other two orders of fried chicken an rice, was absolutely gross. Mixed with fruit and sauce. Not what I ordered... I called to try and get it fixed but I got no apology or bring it back an well make it right.. and when I said to the lady, you cant do something about it she just giggled and said no. like I was a prank caller. But I will never eat or recommend China gold. Absolutely ruined our whole night.

Ive been eating here for years. By far the best Chinese restaurant in metro Detroit. It reminds me most of Lims in dearborn when I was a child. Carry out only so no sitting down to eat but Ive driven more than an hour to get this when I lived further away and it was still hot when I got home. Including in the winter. In the late 1990s I worked at a plant not far from it and we used to get it 3-4 times a week at times, an extensive menu so you can eat often and try different things.

I was in there the day they opened and Ill be in there in about 30 minutes. This is my favorite chinese carry out. Its been about 16 years or so. My kids love it, the owners are always friendly, the food is always great. When my daughter comes home from college to visit; we eat China Gold. I swear they put something in the food, must be mad love. Highly recommend the Almond Chicken.

This is the best Chinese place around. I always order General Tso and its above average (but not the best Ive ever had) at this location. Ive generally been satisfied going here, its infinitely better than Red Dragon. The only downside is they dont take credit cards and they charge an extra fee for debit cards. If this wasnt the case, I would give 5 stars.

Its good cheap American chinese food. Better than most $6 places. There is better but it will cost you much more money. The extra fee on Debit cards stink. Come on now, factor the fee into your prices.

Best almond chicken gravy around. Generals chicken is too sweet unless ordered (hot/spi y) then its very good (and not overly spicy). My 4 yr old son loves the sweet and sour nuggets.

Food is decent at best. Bring cash or a debit card, since they will refuse credit. There are far better places within a couple miles. Go elsewhere.
