Looking for authentic Chinese food? Im not talking about "Americanized Chinese", like general tsos, or sesame chicken. (Best China does have Americanized options for the record) Best China whips up some of the most delectable meals straight from the homeland. One of my favorites is the Beef Braised Soup. So good! The authentic Chinese food they serve here is an adventure if youre looking for something different. The staff are super nice, although kinda hard to understand. The location theyre in is the definition of "hole in the wall", real small and cozy. But the tastes are big!

Not authentic Chinese. Everything was salty. Do not use real Lo Mein noodles but spagetti instead. Kung Pao chicken was fried and oily. Wonton soap was also salty automatically served with soy sauce and wonton appeared to be fried instead of steamed. Also soup had zero veggies just two wontons and salty soy broth. Rice noodle dry and flavored of salt. There was no lemon to favor. I was starving and picked this place because of the 4.2 rating driving out of my way to get to it. Only thing that was good is the tea and that it is a family owned business. I am of Asian decent.

Ive been here many times for lunch. Get here late or early or be prepared to share a table! Such a fun adventure both with the food because I dont know what I might get and the possibility of having lunch with a stranger! Looking at other reviews, 90% love it, 10% hate it. But if you look at who hates it they are all people that order "Chinese-American" dishes. So hint hint, nudge nudge, if you want General Tsos or Sweet and sour chicken go elsewhere (there are plenty of choices in Canton), but if you want a delicious taste adventure come to Best China!

I was really hoping I had found a good authentic Chinese restaurant, but no. The shrimp eggplant was the only thing that was tasted decent, although the shrimp they use in all their dishes is tiny salad shrimp. The spicy salted fish was so salty it was inedible. The owner lady is not friendly and no one really speaks English well so its hard to know what youre getting. Its not very reasonably priced, either. I would recommend Sakura Steakhouse in Troy- they have an authentic Chinese menu and its the best weve had in MI.

Egg rolls offered are actually spring rolls. Please dont offer egg rolls if they are actually spring rolls. The "garlic chicken" is actually schezwan chicken with a little garlic in it. The food isnt bad but the delivery driver made a mess of our order and false advertisement is the biggest complaint. Please dont say you have something and give me something totally different. Its very disappointing and if you want returning customers honest service is the best option

Best China? More like worst China. I ordered shrimp egg foo young and the gravy was so salty it was inedible. The white rice was old and tasted like "minute rice". I should have cancelled my order when they said they dont carry egg rolls. This is the third Chinese restaurant Ive tried in Canton each one more disappointing than the last. I ended up throwing the food in the trash. It was disgusting and a waste of money. Never again.

Disgusting! The chicken fried rice is really good but we ordered 3 meals... general tso, sesame chicken and almond chicken... the almond chicken was not almond chicken, it was the sweet and sour battered chicken bites and the almond sauce was soooo gross! The sesame chicken was slimey, so was the tso. It all had a dirt taste. Never, ever again! Its so expensive for this disgusting food.

I Ordered egg drop soup for my 3 year old and the soup came with a side of black mold. Then I talked to 3 different people on the phone and none of them spoke good enuf English to even understand the word mold. So everyone after me gets moldy soup as well. Oh and the conversation ended with them saying they are too busy to bring me new soup but maybe later. I dont even want the soup.

This is a really good Chinese restaurant in the area, Im not surprised that it got selected as best Chinese restaurant in Canton. Quality food good taste and fairly reasonable price. Only down side is the sitting as it can get really crowded during rush hours and you may need to wait for some time to get a table, or share table with someone else.

I am so glad a friend told me about this place. The Zha Jiang Noodles were fantastic!!! I do not live here and cannot get these noodles easily where I do live, so when Im here on business I will spend my dining dollars here! Noodles were so good, I placed a second order to go.

Oh my goodness, the food here is AMAZING. I had the eggplant casserole and some sort of rice wine soup and I cant wait to order those again as well as try some new dishes. Its a small place though, so Ill probably order carryout from now on, but holy moly is it worth it.

Food is ok but not amazing, they seem to be overly proud of their rating from 2012 of being in the top 50 Chinese restaurants in Michigan. Certain items are great but otherwise I think the place may have become stagnant.

By far best Chinese in the area if you order off Chinese menu! If it says spicy they mean it! The typical Americanized Chinese is good too, but be adventurous and try something off the Chinese menu.

They have really good authentic Chinese food if you are willing to try it. If not they still serve the oldies but goodies. I tried fish in wine sauce and it was delicious!! Service was great too.

The menu has the run of the mill items you would expect, but they have another menu with menu dishes that are more authentic. The flavors are always great and the prices are more than reasonable.

Every time I order sweet and sour chicken there is too much batter, and it taste like a pancake. Awful, who ever addresses authentic with this food probably doesnt eat with their mouth.

First time here, and will be back very soon! From a Chinese perspective, I think the food are authentic! We also ordered a duck to go and it taste just like if I buy them back in China!

I have been going there for the past two years. Initially the food tasted absolutely amazing, but recently the food is WAY TOO SALTY.

Excellent food and service. Food is more from the Shanghai area. If you like authentic Chinese, order off the Chinese menu.

Small Chinese restaurant with 8 tables (which may present a problem during busy hours). Food tastes great,
