Below average food, Horrible service. We went there for dinner, we where the second group to go inside the restaurant (funny: when we entered, the waitress asked "what do u want"..... Well?,,, lets see what do I possibly want to do in a restaurant). The place was generally clean. Most of the dishes we had was not fresh. The sushi was very average taste, huge pieces. Udan, literally tasted and looked like noodles in water(no taste what so ever). Service,,,,, where do I start, the guy was rude. He almost pushed one of my friend down and stared him away to serve me. And yea, make sure u decide if u want use fork or chop sticks. If u change it mind in-between... U might have to face the angry ninja. I might not go there again!

We normally order three rolls and wish we had ordered more, but in this place we didnt. The quality of the raw ingredients was good, but the rolls were so tiny I am surprised the sushi chef was able to make them; they were the sushi equivalent of bonsai. Unfortunately, the prices were about the same at other places, so we left feeling hungry and a bit cheated. The service was fast...so fast that we barely got to tell the server what we wanted before she ran back to the TV show she was watching. On the other hand, the sushi chef was asleep at the sushi bar when we came in and the hit and run waitress had to wake him up as she ran by. The place is nicely decorated and mostly clean, but we wont be coming back.

Great Service. Great Lunch Specials ^_^. We are basically regulars at this place. Love their sushi! My favorite has to be the Dynamite Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll. I also enjoy their Ramen and their Katsu Curry is delicious. If you want to try a little bit of everything including sushi, you can order their Bento Box (Cali Roll or Sashimi) or their lunch specials are very generous in portions! The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. I see lots of families, friends, even Japanese people eating here (I can tell bc i took Japanese for a few years and understand their langauge). I havent had any problems with service or food here. I recommend Aji Ten and have recommended Aji Ten to others.

I frequent this place once or twice a week and the food is consistently good. I always know that my food will come out right and that is why I keep coming. Ive only seen 3 different cooks working in the kitchen over the past 3 years and that is where the consistency comes from. I recommend the short-rib, noodle bowls, and bento box. The sushi is good too. Ill bet dollars to donuts that the three 1-star posts below were all written by the same person. I am also willing to bet that they lack the patience to talk to people who dont speak perfect english. I honestly cant think of one negative thing to say about the place.

When the restaurant first opened I had nothing but high expectations. A true Japanese experience. Everything from top notch sushi chefs to Japanese television. With small prices and amazing quality produce I was fearfully thinking how long was it going to last before they adjust prices based on shadowing giants such as Buffalo Wild Wings and Mongolian BBQ. But Its been one year sense then and that recipe hasnt changed one bit. I can honestly say they didnt change a thing. (besides the addition of fresh Sake) Overall the food is better than Benihana and is cheaper than big boys. You be the judge.

My English is poor, but I still want to share this story....... One time, we place the order to go, after back to home, we can not find my dish. They forgotten put it in my order, due to we feel tired we have not back to shop, just less one dish only, it does not matter. After a week we go to dinner and talking to the old man about it, but he actually think we are deceiving him! Fortunately, a young boy out to prove that they are indeed a single drain, say sorry to us! But the old man did not apologize and leave (we guwas he is a boss). After this, we black list Aji Ten, we do not go again.

Usually we enjoy our food. This time the sushi roll was perfect and rolled tight. But sadly my boy friends Shoyu Ramen was terrible. Hes not the kind of person to say anything negative when at a restaurant but I tried it and it tasted burnt like it was sitting in a pot scolding for hours before he got it, and weve had the Shoyu taken before, its a favorite of ours. I suggest saying something Id this happens because they are better than this one meal

After we had ordered, one of the chef went to the back and lid a cigarette and we could smell the smoke comming from the kitchen. After he was done smoking, he came trudging back and started preparing our food. We had been seated in such that we could see the movement in the back, and he definately did not was his hands! When you observe something like this, I would never go back to Aji Ten.

Looks like a little hole in the wall... because it is. Thats what made me go in the first place! The food is delicious, and the sushi is pretty good, too. If youre sitting in the booths right in the direction of the front door, it might get a little chilly in the winter. They even kept refilling our water glasses for about 20 minutes after wed already paid, and never made a fuss about it.

Oh my god. That teriyaki steak, yam yam roll, miso and edamame were world class. The steak was so damn good, Id declare one of the best I have ever had. I have had so much bad sushi in Michigan since I came here and this place made up for it with their excellent rolls. I look forward to trying their nigiri. Thank you to the staff and excellent chef.

Probably the best hole-in-the-wall sushi/noodle place in all of Michigan. Service is lightning fast, food is delicious, and prices are exactly as I would expect them to be. If youre an adventurous type whos ready to take the plunge into eating something other than your standard fast food/American style food, you NEED to stop in at this place.

Ive been here over a dozen times with my wife. Always gotten good food and great service. I especially enjoy the Miso Soup, Gyoza, Dynamite, and Salmon Teriyaki. Ive also had several of the noodle dishes and some of the stews they offer. Everything is always well prepared and the price is reasonable. Definitely among the best around.

Ive been coming here for years, and this really is the best Japanese food around! It seems like they have some new help here, but the fantastic food and comfortable atmosphere will certainly be worth the trip. My recommendation? Get some tuna and salmon nigiri, and a big, hot bowl of chicken katsudon, and plan on taking some home!

Food was good, but the service was barely passable for a lunch. When we initially ordered, the server walked away in the middle of us telling him what we wanted. Then, we waited 30 minutes in between my entree and my husbands entree. I think well just stick with the place across the street, instead.
