Brewery Becker is an oasis in the dessert of chain restaurant sports bars offering wall-to-wall flat screens and multiple variants of frat-boy water beer w/ a Bells or a Shorts thrown in to pick up slightly broader appeal. Does Brewery Becker serve chicken wings? No. Will they cook you a steak? No. How about fresh sushi? Still no. Brewery Becker is evocative of a German community brew house; a place for friends to gather, relax, and enjoy a finely crafted brew after a long day of Teutonic exploits. The brewery features multiple historic beers you wont find anywhere else, such as Vargdrika (a historic recipe viking beer brewed with juniper) or the Entire Butt (a colonial America pre-porter that incorporates roasted malts that are only available from one guy in Europe). Hop heads can get in on the fun too! On tap right now is the Harvest IPA, an American style IPA that features locally grown hops that made it to the kettle in less than 45 minutes after harvest. Its this relentless focus on quality ingredients and technically difficult to produce beers that makes Brewery Becker such a note worthy stand out. I notice a few of the reviews contain an ire regarding the lack of a full service kitchen. I reiterate that this is a working brewery, with all beer produced on site. The brewing equipment occupies significant space on all three floors of the brewery. The brewery has chosen to focus on doing one thing really well: making great beer! At last count there are over 20 full service restaurants in downtown Brighton that offer the amenities of a full kitchen. If you want a steak/pizza/calamari/oysters/BBQ/cheese cake then you should check out one of the venues offering that service before or after you visit Brewery Becker, or you can order it to-go and eat it at the Brewery while enjoying a great beer. Two nights ago I had some ordered in pizza with an Entire Butt porter, it was great!! In short, this is a brewery offering exceptional craft beers. Its not a restaurant, its not a sports bar, and its not a cheesecake factory. If you are looking for an incredible brewery experience, then congratulations, youve found it!

For as much money and time that they took in opening the Brewery, I felt my first visit was very uneventful! I get the limited menu (i guess). You would think that the staff would explain the "background" of the Brewery and definetly help in explaining their craft beers.Or at least offer suggestions. -Out of the three staff members working, only one had a personality! -Our waters had about three ice cubes -For a place that sells high alcohol % beers w a limited menu, you could carry a few more soft drinks for the DDs -No straws?? -Loved my beer, after I figured what worked for me. -Loved the "to-go" jugs! Will use as a bring along gift when traveling to a friends get together. in my opinion, its all about Product, Price, Place/person. The beer was real good, establishment is new and clean, the staff needs some help! We will be back to check out the outdoor seating and have a good cold one in the summer.

They have some pretty good beer and a great atmosphere. I know they are just starting out and figuring out what people like, but many of the beers I enjoyed were rotated off of their tap. They do have a nice variety and some very dark, high-alcohol content beers. It truly is a great place to bring friends or people from out of town. Pluses: - The outside patio is nice and they should consider leveraging it for the winter time. - Good beer - Beautiful interior - Friendly staff Minuses: - No food, but local places deliver - It is hard to host group events here since there is no group seating. - They only have one TV and it is blocked by the stairs for half of the brewery - Prices are on the high side - They rotate their beers too quickly

The building is cool. Its fun to play board games way in the top, but that part is closed a lot... The beer garden is nice if its not cold out. The beer is just OK. Generally its some kind of a weird recreation of something historic so its kind of cool to try occasionally but not something that you keep coming back for. They also occasionally have a double ipa just in case you want to get crazy. The staff will make fun of you for wearing other breweries clothing into the brewery, which sucks for me because thats pretty much all I own. I was excited when they said they were putting in a brewery within walking distance of me but this place was a bit of a let down. Also one of their beers is called the entire Butt.

Being a local Brighton resident and former Brighton firefighter, I am happy to see one of our historic buildings finally get a new life. This is the kind of place that treats you like family and the atmosphere is perfect so much better than the riff raff youd find at the pound or lu and Carls. Id recommend this place over and over. You cant find any other place in town with high class beers and that allows you the ability to bring in outside food from all of the awesome local restaurants we have in town. Thank you Matt Becker for not only giving the old pink hotel a new life but also serving some of the best beer Ive ever had.

This was our first time going here tonight. Love the outdoor area; reminds me of the biergartens in Germany. They have fire pits outside too in case it gets cold. There were no tables available outside so we sat on a bench and almost immediately a nice couple invited us to share their table. We had a great conversation and when they left we paid it forward and invited another couple to join us. What a great way to meet people!! The beer is absolutely fantastic and an incredible value for how big the glasses are. The service was outstanding and we never went thirsty. Highly recommend.

Waitress couldnt be bothered to help us let alone smile. We asked for a sausage. She was put out and sniped that it would take a while because "she had to go back and put it on the grill". . . so we ordered two! She provided little to no help with the beer samples. Luckily one of use discovered a key on the back of the menu or we would have had no idea of what we were tasting. We were a group of five and the only people in the brewery at the time.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful setting, more than accommodating and amazing staff. Big thanks to Jeff for hooking it up when Cristina (so sorry if I misspelled that) was taking care of personal matters. Thanks to Jay for sticking in there when the whole party arrived at once and manning the bar without breaking a sweat. My Dad had a proper sendoff and Ive gotten nothing but compliments. You guys are the best!

To start, the building this brewery is in is fantastic! Nice to see that they cared enough to do a historic building justice while making it fit their needs as a brewery. The beer here is good, although some it may be different than what youre used to, Vargdricka Braggot with Lingonberry anyone? Beckers is definitely worth stopping in regularly if youre local and worth making a trip if youre not.
