The format as noodles, sauce, veggies and meat (if you want it). It would be nice to see the menu prices reflect the meat item in the base price as this is how most will order. The food is good and portion sizes are filling. They have two sizes reg. and lg. and I think the smaller size is plenty. Quick meal if youre in a hurry. Seating is mostly small roundtables or a plank on the wall. If you would like to sit for awhile or do anything on a laptop or watch something on your phone, this could be problematic.

We stopped in for a piada, which seemed to be a burrito with Italian ingredients, and pasta. Both were fine, but I dont think well be back; Id rather eat Chipotle or Noodles for similar fast food. The pasta in particular was a disappointment; I ordered carbonara and was discouraged when I realized that they used the same sauce for burritos and pasta and when the pancetta was added as a topping by crumbling up a wafer. The seasonal salad with whole grains was excellent, but everything else was only mediocre.

The food was very good and service was very quick which is great for lunch in Ann Arbor. I went during the VIP opening week. I will definitely be back to try another dish. My only complaint would be that the menu doesnt have a ton of choices for each type of dish, though keeping the menu small improves service times no doubt.

Piada is so insanely tasty! I hadnt had a piada before this restaurant opened and I was a little hesitant because I am a die-hard pasta fan so I wasnt sure about Italian food that isnt pasta... I am absolutely obsessed with piadas. I have been several times and have never been disappointed. So good!!!

No table service, you go up and order. You have options for each dish, which is fine for a light meal. Probably better for an informal lunch, than dinner. The food was good and fresh, no complaints there. Recommended for students or people touring State Street.

People who put high rating for this place never been in Italy and probably never tasted real parmesan cheese and carbonara sauce. Yeah, fancy place with excellent service, but have not seen single Italian involved. Tasted very below average.

I ordered the Steak Avocado Piada off the seasonal menu. It was fantastic! The avocado was peeled right in front of my face. Also, I with a group of 7 people and had no problem getting seated, despite the line for ordering food.

They were very busy, but stayed polite. However, I had the CHICKEN DIAVOLO, and the food honestly tasted moldy... I think it might have been the pasta itself. Ill probably wait a while until I try to eat there again.

Sandwiches are tasty and everything is made fresh. They offer interesting Italian classics combined into sandwiches such as calamari with spicy Diablo sauce. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner.
