As being 100% Mexican and knowing what authentic Mexican food is, Im so embarrassed that they call this Mexican food. Waiter was so rude, though he was attentive yet rude. I ordered a corona, asked for a lime with it. He told me no. I asked him no as in a cant get a lime or no you guys dont have limes. He goes no, then went on to the next person. He came back with my drink and he had lime for it. So why was he being rude and giving me a hard time? He wasnt even playing around. Then we got nachos as appetizers. I laughed when they brought it out to us. Their nachos are tortilla chips with shredded cheese melted on it after being in the microwave and they charge us roughly 10$ for that! Pitiful. I ordered just two tacos and he brought me the dinner which I couldnt even eat bc their rice and beans are joke. Their rice had NO flavor at all. It was so bland tho they did add some spicy seasoning to eat but there was no flavor at all. Their beans werent even mashed!. It looked like they bought the beans out of the jar and didnt even season or mash them. My fiance got their beef enchiladas and their enchiladas sauce was the queso cheese dip we received for our chips and cheese. I cant stress how awful their food is and their service. Im still livid on top of it all, our bill ended up being 53$ and he wouldnt even show me the prices on the receipt. They added their own tip so I have no idea what he tipped himself. Dont waste your time here.

Terrible! Three meals which included two quesadillas and a plate made of three enchiladas and one taco took over 1.5hrs to finally make it to our table. Also, not to mention that at 6:30pm, they were already out of fajitas. The service was poor and our waitress seemed like we were the inconvenience. She was rude and unfriendly. Although, the manager wasnt any better as he handed us the check without saying a word and never bothered to ask how everything was, or even apologize for our food taking so long. Way to run a business. I should also mention to forget about trying to subsititue a side item for something else as you will probably get a disgusted look like it is the end of the world and they will not end up doing it for you anyways. We had tickets for an event at 8pm and our food came out at 7:50pm. This was probably the worst dinning experience we all had and there were 5 of us and we dine out at least 3x a week. While the food was okay (nothing to boast about for how pricey it was) the service was absolutely horrible and that is enough for us to never return and to inform others of this not so pleasant experience. There are many other great restaurants in Ann Arbor. I advise choosing anything over this place.

Went here last week for lunch with my sister, the food was great! Youve got to try their chimichangas, which I know is an American invention but nevertheless delicious, best so far in the area. There were several different meats to choose from, I chose pulled beef. The chimichanga was perfectly deep fried, crispy, flaky, not tasting like a soggy wet burrito like some places. Portion sizes are good...either enough to be plenty full or a little leftover to snack on later. The chips were homemade, crisp, warm, delicious, definitely NOT store bought like their nearest competition. Salsa was very fresh, not too hot. Im looking forward to going back again to try other menu items. I highly recommend this place if youre in the area, want fresh, delicious Mexican food at a reasonable price.

I love Banditos. I have only been there a handful of times but I keep coming back because not only is the food amazingly fresh and authentic, the waiter service is so great and Singh knows my order by heart even though sometimes he wont see me for six months in between my visits. He also remembers my dad even though he has moved to Cali so everytime he sees me, he asks how he is, very sweet. The decor is fantastically colorful and reminds me of my trip to Oaxaca in Mexico. It is rare to find a great Mexican restaurant in Ann Arbor for some reason, but dont pass up this place you wont be dissappointed. They also have the best Dr. Pepper ever for some reason haha. And the rice and beans that come along with the meal are fantastic! :)

I am very critical when it comes to food as I travel alot and there is nothing better than eating the food in the region or country it is from. I have to say Banditos hit the nail on the head. From the amazing welcome when you walk in the door,to the huge size family portions, the food is authentic in taste and you can tell they take pride in their dishes they present. You actaully feel like you stepped into a backyard family dinner in Mexico City. I was especially pleased with our waiter, we felt like we knew him all along, very attentative and on the ball 100%!. If you are skeptical, give it a go for lunch as a try, you will not be disappointed. We are for sure going to be regulars at this establishment. BRAVO to the staff!

This is my first time attending this restaurant and had read some of the reviews before attending. The food was not as bad as some people made it to be. The macho nachos were just chips microwaved and the beef was a little flavorless, but add a little salt and some hot sauce and it is a little better. The burritos were good and did lack a little flavor but the red sauce they put over it was very good. The peppers had great sweet and savory flavor. There was more beef on the nachos than in the burritos but they were very large and very filling. All in all if you dont like very spicy Mexican food I would recommend it but if you enjoy a good spicy flavorful meal you might be a little disappointed.

This food was cafeteria quality Mexican. Im guessing GFS tortilla, canned beans and cheese. Maybe the salsa was homemade. The waiter told me there was a $2 charge to split the bill, so I declined. Then the bill came: $2.25 + 5.95 + 6.95 + 1.95 + 2.95 + tax (MI tax is 6%) = $22?! I asked the waiter and he started adding out loud 3, 6, 7, 2, 3 is 21 plus tax is 22. Get out a calculator you dope, and dont round 2.25 up to 3. It should have been $21.25. To be missed. BTW, looking at other Google user reviews, I cant help but believe someone is stuffing the ballot box with good reviews. Theres no way this place gets so many favorable reviews.

The food was good, I tipped 30%, I felt good about what Id eaten until I got home and felt like Id paid too much... I felt weird about not being shown an itemized reciept, so I checked and I was charged $10 more than I should have been... He also added automatic gratuity. Lastly, the food I ordered for my boyfriend was not good and the chips were stale... NOT like the ones they served me. Very shady, the man who served us didnt offer good service either. I was feeling bad because theyll be closed for construction outside, but now I dont. VERY shady, very DISHONEST.... There are too many decent, honest places in town, I wont come back here.
