We have eaten here before and the food and service were average and just like every other restaurant. Today we tried eating here again and werent seated more than 5 min before getting up and walking out. Our server was HORRIBLE. When he approached us (without chips and salsa) I ordered a margarita and asked him what sizes they have. He said "small and large." Ok whats your small and whats your large? He turned my menu over and pointed to a picture. My fiancé asked how much the pitcher was and how many drinks you could get out of it. He said "idk." So I had to think it thru (I was a server and a bartender for many years). When we decided that we wanted we proceeded to order (he wasnt standing at our table more than a minute) and he cut us off and said "hold on" and walked to another nearby table. We were frustrated by this time but let it go. The second time he came back my fiancé was in the middle of asking him a question... our server looking dead at him WALKED OFF again in the middle of his sentence. We got up and walked out. We were sure to tell the hostess on our way out what had happened but she was unapologetic. Like I previously stated I was a server for 5 years so I know that customer service is #1 as a server. I also know how over whelming serving can be at times so I ALWAYS give the benefit of the doubt but to say "idk" and walk off on someone twice when theyre trying to ask you a question is RUDE!!! We will never eat here again! Oh and btw I had a crisp $100 bill I was happy to give our server this evening but looks like someone else will be getting it ;)

I am MEXICAN and this is the best place I have ever eaten at in GEORGIA. The food is just great , there is something for eveybody tex mex and the real deal as well. I thought of my mom when I had hte Steak strips in Red Sauce. They we yummy. I like the shirmp cocktail and the tacos with chorizo and steak. My favorite so far is the Molcajete. The big stone plate has chicken, steak, quesadilla, fresh mexican fresh cheese , grilled onions and chorizo with a bit of green sauce at the bottom. I just got hungry to think about it. Last time I was there I went with a girlfriend of mine we ordered a huge frozen Margarita with a corona in it and sagria at the top. It was so good but we had to share it because it was a bid sized drink. Finally, a decent size drink for a fair price. GREAT value for this drink. All of the other tables keept on looking at our table after we got our molcajete and the huge drink everybody was asking what were eating. It must have been the fact that we cleaned the mocajete very quickly or the very attractive look of our big drink. We just had a feast. I love this restaurant and I am so glad that it is located close to my place so I dont have to travel to Gwinnett county for good tacos and tasteful mexican food!!!

Food and atmosphere was wonderful. Service was horrible. We were seated, received drinks and ordered our food, part of what we ordered was missing. Our waiter NEVER returned to our table to check on us, refill or drinks, etc. We finally had to track him down to get our bill. Meanwhile there was only one other party seated in our section. They were obviously "regulars", they were ordering Lots of mixed drinks etc. and the wait staff was completely attentive to them as far as I could tell. When we paid, a man (not our waiter) ran from the back, ran our card, handed us a receipt and a pen, said absolutely nothing and walked off. I turned back to see where he went and I see multiple staff members standing around looking at their phones. In all fairness, Ive been here previously once and that experience was totally different - the service was wonderful on that visit. Overall, this time, I was fairly disappointed :(

My wife and I just tried this place for the second time since moving to Winder almost 2 years ago and were reminded why we didnt enjoy it the last time. The server didnt smile the entire time and never greeted us, just walked up and said "what are yall drinking?" Then when she came back with the drinks and asked if we were ready to order she didnt listen when my wife replied no, she stood there tapping her foot for a moment until I asked her to give us a minute. Finally my wifes "Texas" margarita was clear and flavorless as was the food. The only thing good about either of our visits here was the salsa and the beer. The food wasnt bad just wasnt good.

Customer service was horrible, the manager & servers were rude to my party & I, the food was NOT to our liking & upon ONE bite of a dish....we ascertained immediately the food was NOT good & still... they stuck us with the bill to pay for it, with no customer satisfaction service in mind...this Resturaunt & its staff performed subpar to even decent standards. The staff also spoke in Spanish when speaking about us, but then spoke in English to us as if we would not understand what they were just saying. AVOID THIS RESTURAUNT at ALL cost... A much better substitution for Mexican dining is DONTELLOS. AVOID THIS RESTURAUNT

Food was pretty good but our service? Not so great. Our waiter came and took our order for drinks and eventually came back to take our order for our food and never came to check on us afterwards. He never asked if we needed refills or if everything was ok. Nothing. He stood at the bar practically looking directly at us talking to another waitress and never came to check on us. Meanwhile the person waiting on the people behind us checked on them several times. I definitely think our experience would have been different had we had a different waiter but I think this will be our first and last visit here.

Very affordable and really great food! This is ours and our extended familys favorite meeting place. Theyre fabulous with big groups of people (15+ ppl every time) from start to finish-few to no mix-ups or billing problems in the ten years weve been coming here! This is where we go every time for great Mexican food in Winder area. They have a mariachi band thats been coming for years (Thursdays?), and theyre fabulous too!

Ive never had bad food here. The nachos Texana is amazing, you have to try it on rice! So good. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes its understaffed and the service is sloooow, but then you get your food and you dont really mind so much... Unless youre in a hurry. Then theres times you get superior service and your food comes out in 10 mins or so. You just never know what youre going to get. Overall its a must try.

This used to be my favorite restaurant hands down, Until last night that is. I cant think of a worse experience Ive had at a restaurant other than last night at El Centinela. The food was terrible. I personally have never had chips even close to as stale as the ones I got. Lack of customer service, very rude, not helpful. I am extremely disappointed in how huge of a difference there is overall for this restaurant.
