I saw some great reviews online and figured that Id go ahead and check this out for myself, with the fiancee for some lunch earlier today. We arrived for a pretty busy restaurant and sat down near the front in their first of two main rooms. Each features around 10-12 tables and is modestly decorated; looks a bit worn down in some areas but all in all, its just your average looking restaurant with nothing special in it. Our waiter arrived and asked us if we wanted drinks, poured us some water and we headed for the buffet. Upon arriving I had to try my best to mask some of my disappointment. There wasnt too much to it, and it featured a total of eight different dishes, two of which were rice and palak paneer. There was also a mixed vegetable curry, chicken tandoori, mint chicken and a couple more. Nothing too exciting and no butter chicken or chicken tiki masala. They also had a few samosas and some Kheer. Thats pretty much it. I tried a bit of everything and mopped up some of the sauces with some naan bread, but all in all, I found most of it to be bland. No standout flavors here, just a lot of blandness. Everything was lukewarm at best and I never went back for seconds. Nothing exceeded expectations, and Id be hard pressed to return. My wife-to-be agreed. Its kind of a shame considering that they are in Walthams South Side, on Moody Street which is a great location with plenty of street and lot parking and within walking distance for us. Oh and service was slow. Very, very slow and inattentive, especially considering that we do most of their work when ordering from the buffet. 20 minutes for my check? Really?

Worst experience ever had!!!!! I ordered couple of things, all tasted lousy and gross. I have been to the couple of indian restaurants in the town but this is probably the worst. Location is not spacious, I know the taste of Chicken Chilli. I had tried the chicken chilli in so many places around and I set the same expectation before I stepped into this place but this turned out to be completely opposite, I told server to put moderate amount of chilli and make it eatable spicy but It tasted like sweet chicken with tons of food colorants.Last but not least, tandoori roti it was completely burnt. Never going back to this place again!!!!!!!!!

After searching different Indian restaurants I picked this little India to have a dinner with my roommates and got the worst experience in food and service. First of all the table for four people was not large enough to put the foods we order (one dish each) so we had to combined one more table, and, the second was the food that we order. I order fish curry and tandoori roti. Fish curry was colored and didnt even taste like fish dishes, gravy in that curry had a sweet kind of taste. And tandoori roti was hard and burned. Disappointed!!!

I am a Brit, so I am looking for the Really Good Indian Food... Dont bother.. I have been to plenty of curry houses trust me.. I tried the Buffet, the food wasnt even that warm, the chicken wasnt white meat, you had to fight with it, the beef vindalo was lame, and a jar of pataks would have tasted better.. The Vegetarian was the best part but still, was cold! $10 for a buffet is a little on the steep side!? Enter at your Peril!

really love their buffet lunch on Sunday, have been coming there for over 20 years and always excellent. The dishes are freshly prepared and different every Sunday, to add to the staple nan bread, the salad with lemon wedges, the tandoori chicken. They alternate on the curry and the veggie dishes: sometimes its the spinach, or the choli, sometimes chicken curry or lamb curry. Great food, plenty of choice, good ambiance.

Those who think this restaurant makes good chicken tikka masala know nothing about Indian food. I almost never review restaurants. But this restaurant was sooooo bad. I had few dishes at this restaurant and all sucked bad. Each restaurant must perfect certain dishes. For example, Mexican restaurants must perfect fajitas. Indian restaurants MUST perfect chicken tikka masala and khorma. This restaurant is good at none.

We live in the neighborhood, and go to the lunch buffet at least once a month. Little India is by far the best Indian restaurant on Moody St. (not that it takes much to surpass the local competition). The food is flavorful and fresh. The buffet is well-differentiated, each dish has its own distinct taste. There is not a huge selection, but sufficient for each member of your party to find something s/he likes.

Large menu, including a variety of vegetarian options as you would expect from an Indian restaurant. Also have a few indian beers (I had a kingfisher). Friendly service. Nice ambiance. Willing to make anything spicy to your preference. Had the okra and onion dish with regular naan and it was pretty good but nothing spectacular. Its moderately priced for the area.

Wonderful experience indeed. Just savored every dish we ordered. Deliciously prepared and brought to the table in style. The mutton biryani, highly recommend everyone to try comes with freshly made raita. The chicken dishes simply wow! Desserts like kulfi and ladoos the best in town. The service was very good too very friendly servers who make you feel at home.

We were here for dinner. Taste was okay. Asked for spice level - Hot. But it wasnt spicy at all. Service was mediocre. Waiter took the appetizer plate away without even asking us. Asked for Tea and it was barely hot.

Came here with two kids. They were entertained. The service was fast enough to keep things moving. They were able to make curry mild AND delicious. Highly recommend.

If you want to taste a little bit of different Indian dishesits a good place. Food is tasty and not too spicy. Lunch buffet for $9.99 is a little bit pricy.

The chicken tikka masala is quite terrible. 1 star because its my favorite Indian dish, and probably the hardest one to screw up. Probably not going back.

As name suggest, its a little space with a variety of tasty food. Veg lovers would also love the buffet selection. On the whole a place to try on!

Me and wife went for dinner .I really liked the Shahi panel with Tandoori roti. This is good only for vegetarian if you prefer only halal food .

Really good authentic Punjabi fare. Dont judge by decor as the food is really good. Kadhi is really good and so is Chola Bhatura

The food was below average. The veg manchurian we ordered was raw and the goat biryani rice was half cooked.
