The place is a beautifully decorated warm atmosphere with good mediterranean food. They have good wine selections in the lounge area and is a nice laid back place to hang out with friends without the loud bar scene. However, be careful of the prices and always check your tab. Frequently they charge extra for things that arent mentioned so be sure to check your tab. Dont assume anything is free. For example, during their new year celebration, they didnt forget to collect an entrance fee from everyone, but they "accidentally" forgot to serve the promised champagne and appetizers. Clearly the owner is a business man. Also, mixed drinks are usually watered down and not worth it. Go for the wine instead. All in all a mixed picture.

This has been a go-to for us since it opened. One of the few places where it is easy to have a long, leisurely meal without a lot of noise or pressure to order more food. Not a typical fare. There is nothing like it in the area. I have vegetarian friends who find plenty to eat and also friends wholl go for the lamb stew. Desserts are like no others in the area, too, so leave room. Personal favorite are the apricots. I was sorry to see the field greens salad go. I used to eat on the patio in the summer and split a salad and two appetizers and have plenty for two. I wonder if those complaining about the service prefer to eat quickly and get going. If you have 45 minutes for dinner, this is not your place!

This place is very nice, couches on the inside & they also have a patio as well. It has some really damn tasty food. But what I dont understand is why bread doesnt automatically come when you order your food. I had to wait until afterwards to ask for it since I saw other tables w/ the bread basket. There should not be such a wait for our food, but we didnt order any appetizers which almost all the tables around us had done. The service was ok since they were attentive when we got there but once it filled up we had to flag him down to get our check & stuff. What I dont like is the portions you get for what your paying.

I called to ask about an event and make reservations. I was asking questions as the description I saw on Facebook didnt explain much. The owner hung up on me. I thought I got disconnected and called right back. 2 seconds latter he tells me "we all all booked". I have a friend call to make reservations to make 100% sure I was right before I wrote this review. Sure thing they had plenty of room and were taking reservations. This is not how you do business or treat customers. How rude. And I was excited for the band.

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, delicious food! Everyone was so attentive and inviting. Our waitress was adorable! We devoured the mezze platter and a handful of other appetizers; the hummus was so flavorful and the pita bread so fluffy! Didnt get to eat all of our entrees because we were pretty stuffed, but the flavor profiles of each dish were interesting and delightful. I know I sound like an ad but honestly Im just so happy to have found a great place like this! Even the picky eaters left sated.

Horrible food! Horrible service!! Very expensive! We ordered several different dishes but they were almost inedible! We only finished salad! We tried to fix the impression by ordering dessert and we got pancakes with very,very bitter chocolate. The waitress brought the spoon with baklava! We had to ask her several times to clean the plates from our table! This food has nothing to do with Balkan or Mediterranean food. Please don.t waste your time or money on this restaurant, very disappointed.

I was going to take my husband to an "exotic" restaurnant with wonderful new flavors. The food was terrible!!! I have eaten all over the US and this has to be the worst food and service. The bulgar was mushy and lacked flavor. The scallops were rubbery and the sauce bland with one 50 cent piece of puff pastry. His sirloin was tough and had no flavor. The waitress stomped around the place like she was angry. Dont worry I have told my friends who live in the area not to go there.

A wonderful local business with great food and friendly staff. The patio is great on nice days for outdoor eating. Everything is tasty, whether it is the burek, the lamb Bolognese pasta, the eggs moussaka at brunch, the cocktails (including a great margarita), the slow roasted lamb, the salads, or the various appetizers. They are also great for hosting events such as wedding rehearsal dinners and adult birthday cocktail parties.

I went there following the reviews and because It looked great, but it is by far one of the worse dining experiences in the area. The eggplant park was totally dried and bland, looked like it had been in the fridge for a week. Could not eat it. The extra virgin "olive oil" was refined and light it had no taste, the bread was cold, the meat overcooked. It was a disaster. The only good thing was the wine. Service was ok.

Horrible / Sloppy service and the place has no atmosphere. Server was angry that we showed up and ruined his afternoon nap. The food is Mediocre at beast(cold or semi warmed on the microwave food) and wasnt sure if they served a leftovers from somebodys lunch. They presented a bill with prices higher than the one advertised on the menu. On top of that server added extra tip for himself.

Generally, I dont really write reviews about any restaurant but I didnt like the behavior of Manager the way he treated with my chinese friend. We went to attend the Turkish and Greek music night; but couldnt get in as all tables were booked. We inquired about future upcoming events and the Manager got mad and started abusing..RACIST!

Great food, nice atmosphere. My girlfriend and I asked the waiter/bartender what he recommended and chose two apps and two entrees from his recommendations. The waiter/bartender and one other girl were the only two working the front on a Wednesday night. The place got busy and they were on top of things required of a great wait staff.

Customer service was good but they desperately need to update the interior and trim the bushes in the alfresco dining area. I was bit my mosquitoes twice. For the price they charge, I definitely expect complementary bread to be included and served first but they dont do that either!

The food here is amazing. Mediterranean and upscale dishes. I love the zucchini fritters appetizer and apricot&ricotta desert. Cocktails are great too. Nice venue with a beautiful and quite patio in Summer. It has a parking lot as well. I highly recommend it.

The mezze was great. The Croatian Seafood Stew was overcooked and overly fishy. Perhaps the white fish had been previously frozen? The shrimp special was also overcooked. Service was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed.

This restaurant is my favorite one in Davis Square. The food is uniformly excellent and the atmosphere is like being in a luxury private home in the Balkans. A full bar has some specialty items not availabe anywhere else in this area.

Food is phenomenal!!!! The warm goat cheese appetizer is to die for. I also highly recommend the delicious freshly brew Chai Tea. Staff is very friendly and professional. Cozy and quiet place too. :-)
