Ordered a Burger sub and slize of cheese to go today by phone. This is my usual order and I order often (once a week or better). I am advised that it will be ready in 20 minutes and arrive when I am asked to. When I get there, my sub is ready, great. The counter person takes my money for the sub AND the slice, hands me just a sub, and thanks me. I advise her, theres a slice also, (which she just CHARGED me for), and has anyone even checked that theres a pizza available for slices? Of course not. The person says, oh, thatll just be a minute for the slice. No, it will NOT just be a minute, because your pizza man is still stretching the dough out for it now. Its not even in the oven. Who are you to expect me to wait for a slice you had 20 minutes to make sure is ready for me in a PIZZA SHOP, while my hot sub is already getting cold? What makes this story even better? Getting short changed for the slice I requested my money back for. Thanks Engine House, this is about the hundreth time in the last eight months youve screwed up my order enough on simple things to make sure I will never go back. Screw you for short changing me, and for not having someone around to watch the shop while unconcerned kids run the place. I will now go somewhere else, perhaps Im the sucker here for expecting what I paid for.

Terrible customer service. Terrible. Been going to Engine House for years and have had consistent problems. About once ever other take out order the food is either messed up or missing. I finally had enough and called to complain one night after receiving buffalo fries (who orders that?) instead of buffalo wings. I was told I would be given a credit for my order and to just give them my phone number the next time I came in. The next time I called I placed an order, informed the person I talked to of the credit and was told that she would "do some research." When I showed up to pick up the order was charged full price. In addition, the order that I placed was missing onion rings. I called back once I got home with the order and was told by the manager that he didnt know what the credit was for so he simply deleted it. His solution to the problem was this: "I dont know what you want us to do. We arent going to bring you your money. If you want to come back and pick up your money, you can." I will never order from here again.

This is a good spot if youre looking for a meal thats simple and quick. Their menu consists of pizza, sandwiches, wraps, and entrees. They serve alcohol...beer. My husband had the best chicken fingers hed ever had. They were huge. They came with a combination of fries and onion rings. He could have had a salad instead. My son and I both had ravioli. It wasnt anything special. It was the equivalent of store bought cheese ravioli with pizza sauce. The garlic bread that came with it was delicious! It also came with a large garden salad that was wonderful. Considering the prices of anything around here, this place was one of the more inexpensive places we visited. Wed go back and/or recommend this to others.

Took way longer than the estimated delivery time. The order I recieved was incorrect and I did not recieve part of my order. I told the driver the order was incorrect, he said he would get it but he never came back. The containers were all opened and the buffalo chicken was on the top and chicken and sauce opened up over all of the containers. My wrap was the wrong one and came with fries instead of the side salad requesed. The burger was uncooked, fries wet and limp, and my chicken was pink on the inside. I understand it gets busy but the fact that I was not reimbursed for missing a part of my order is inexcusable. The food literally tasted like it came from a sweaty frat boys gymsock.

Loved it! Our first time and the pizza was AMAZING! The crust was not too thick and not too thin, perfectly crispy and chewy. We got half pepperoni, half margarita. The margarita side was perfect with fresh tomato, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. The pepperoni side had nice spicy pepperoni and plenty of cheese. My New York- raised husband approved. The place is not fancy, comfortable and low-key but sometimes thats just what youre looking for. They also have a small selection of draft beer which they were kind enough to let us sample to help us make our decision.

Steak bomb was awesome. Pizzas were very good and the prices were not to bad for a tourist area. Would definitely go back. There was a young man cleaning the whole time we were there, very conscientious but would not accept a tip because the person who hired him told him he couldnt and they didnt split tips with him which I thought was not cool at all. That was the only thing that turned me off about the place and the bathrooms were pretty dirty and the toilet was so low it was like being in elementary school.

A restaurant has to be worth its salt if its across the street from a fire department, and Engine House was. We parked a ways away to see some of Salem on our way. The walk did not take too long. Though a little pricey, we ordered two small pizzas (Jakes BBQ and Margharita) along with jalapeno poppers, a beer, and a root beer. Hands down, this place has the best fried jalapeno poppers Ive ever had. The pizza was also phenomenal. The service was great, too. All in all, a great experience.

They do great business and its probably my second favorite pizza in Salem, but they dont hire enough staff to keep up with the demand. Many times youll try to call in an order and theyll ask you to hold, they just set the phone down on the counter and take two or three more orders at the counter and on the phone before they come back to you. The owners should be a little less tight and get another staffer in there and out of the bread line.

We ordered a cheese pizza and a hot vegetarian sub. The bread on the sub tasted like it had been baked a day or two before and then sealed in plastic. The pizza was bland and the crust was like cardboard. We would have ordered beer but luckily we asked to try it first and their opinion of "cold beer" was vastly different than ours, so we just stuck with the soda. The hardest working employee was the busboy, so we left our tip with him.

I thought I would give this place a try after seeing the positive reviews. However, when I got the pizza, I was not impressed. Besides it being greasy, it was also pretty hard. I also ordered the chicken fingers, which were not good either. They were a little burnt, greasy, hard, and were cutlet-sized. I dont see myself ordering from here again. So far the best pizza I had from Salem is the Upper Crust.

This place is definitively Salem. Everyone I have ever known from Salem loves this place and it is a regular twice a week place for me to eat at. Around Halloween it gets kind of slammed and hard to be in, but other than that the atmosphere impeccable. I never feel so comfortable as when Im there with a few friends and a nice pitcher of beer with a fresh slice.
