Very bad experience and very poor customer service. I called and ordered delivery at approximately 7:02pm and spoke to a lady on the phone who took my order and said my food would be here in about 45 min to 1 hour. I waited about 1 hour and 10min later I called around 8:12pm to ask about how much longer my order would take and the lady that answered said it will be another 20 minutes. I then asked her why it is taking more time when I was told it would be an hour max for delivery. She said that more orders came in after mine and they had to be delivered as well. I then asked "dont they deliver in the order the call is made?" And she said there was only one driver. I then asked for a manager and she put me on hold for a while. About five minutes later the driver showed up, so I hung up the phone while I was still on hold. I asked the driver why it took so long and he said he delivered everyone elses order first. I became upset hearing this and told him I was going to let the manager know about this experience because it wasnt right that my order was taken first and delivered last. I called the restaurant back and asked for a manager and a guy came on the phone named Dan was very rude. He didnt let me say anything or explain my issue. He said that the lady that answered the phone prior to him told him everything and he didnt need to hear me since he already knew. He was very unprofessional and spoke to me very disrepectfully. I asked him if he usually treats customers this way and he came back at me with a smart remark saying that I was rude and made the lady who answered the phone before him cry. This made me more frustrated and I just asked for the owners name and number and he then made a smart remark again that I needed to give him my name and phone number, I responded to him saying it was on my reciept. I then continued to ask for the owners name and contact info and he refused to give me the information. He even went as far as hanging up on me. I called back and asked for the owners info and he hung up on me again. This is very very very poor customer service. Very unprofessional for a manager and very disrepectful for customers.I was very disappointed, which is sad because I always order from here and they are always so nice. I have added a photo of what one of their employees responded on facebook to me about my review...this shows how truly unprofessional this business is. If you read her response you can tell she works there because she mentions that there was only one driver that day, which I did not even state in my review, so how could she have known!

When they opened the year before last they initially had some issues maintaining the high quality, and taste consistency of their food which put a lot of people off. BUT, Im happy to say that they fixed those issues long ago, so if you remember a bad experience there, its worth giving them a try again. They turn semi-sit down in the evenings but where they really shine is during the lunch period where you can walk in, order a burrito for $5-$10 and by the time youve sat down and got a glass of water your food is ready, making it a quick, cheap and delicious lunch.(I call in an order for pickup during my lunch break probably once a week mid-summer) Following that train of thought, somewhat often when my friends and I head downtown for the bars but dont want to pay for crummy pub food, we head to the Howling Wolf first to get burritos and split a cheap(for downtown Salem at least) pitcher of beer before we head out. They have defiantly found a niche and fill it well, the only other taqueria that offers a similar menu in the is a little place in Lynn off the main street, but that place is far enough way the food doesnt matter most of the time. They aggressively are working to get students to eat there in there in the form of a 10% student discount + the Buy 10 get 1 free offer they give to everyone (thats effectively 20% off if you eat there regularly) as well as that they accept the Clipper Cash from the nearby Salem State University.

Stopped in on a short visit to the area. Margaritas at the bar were decent & well prepared (we got the Jalapeño & Blue something or other). Moved outside seats on the patio, facing the street. Guacamole was a terrible flavorless green goop with almost no visible onion, tomato, cilantro or jalapeño. Looked straight out of the supermarket deli case. Avoid. House margaritas were ok at best. Nothing to write about. But they were cheap. My wifes shrimp taco came with shrimp that looked boiled straight out of a bag. I guess we were expecting something actually grilled on site. Appears to not be the case. My Al Pastor Quesadilla was actually pretty tasty although there were chunks of inedible chewy fat I had to spit out as well as some bone or overcook pieces that all went into a napkin. The staff was very friendly and clearly busy. I wouldnt come back here in the future. Its just not that special.

If you want the best queso blanco around they have it!! They make it from scratch. If they would just give me that recipe! The drinks are definitely strong. Unless you want to be knocked on your but, just order one. Margaritas are awesome. Dont typically like margaritas but sis in law insisted and I wasnt disappointed. The only down side is the place is small and when seated you may rub elbows with your neighbors. But the food outweighs that. Depending on when you go you may be waiting a good 30min to be seated. Thats only happend once to me and I literally got there around 5:30-6 on a friday night. (any good place will be high volume on firday nights) Ive been there many times and always order something different. Me and the husband swap dishes as well. Literally just an amazing place! They never let me down!

When you dine in, the food is great and the service is generally pretty good. That being said, I order out more than I dine out and the take out service is absolutely horrible. Every single time Ive called to place an order the waitress on the other line is always incredibly rude, the quality control is poor, sometimes an item will come with a specific sauce and the other half of the time it wont. One time i called and placed an order, almost immediately after calling and placing the order i called to make a change, the waitress told me it was to late to make any changes and the food was already finished being prepared and they would not make any altercations. If you dine in then I recommend the Howling Wolf, if youre ordering take out then be ware, youre in for a bad experience.

I have never had mexican food quiet like this before, and I wish I knew about it sooner! I hated mexican food growing up, but this place really opened my eyes and sparked my taste buds, while keeping money in my wallet. Taco Tuesdays are a bit crammed and the wait is long, but its totally worth it. For tacos, I like the fish the best, it goes great with the margaritas! The Gingerita is hands down the best drink on the menu. If you like something a bit stronger then I recommend the Dire Wolf. The atmosphere is appealing aswell, with local artists works on the accent wall and the colorful mexican themed Good Wolf makes this place very exciting and full of good vibes. If you go, tip well! These waiters & waitresses run around like crazy to make sure your time is well enjoyed.
