The staff was friendly, the place was cozy, the drinks were nice. The sushi... Both me and the person I was with couldnt find a way to describe it other than "did they seem almost..waterlogged??". The flavor was OK but.. It felt like..kind of..soggy.. i guess is how i would describe it. Have you ever gone to a stop and shop, and against better judgement late at night right before they close seen the sushi and thought "why the heck not?" And then you eat it and it still tastes OK but just feels wrong in your mouth and youre like "oh yeah. Stop and shop sushi thats been sitting out all day". Kind of like that. Im not saying it wasnt fresh. It was probably very fresh. Im just saying it.. Felt wrong in the mouth, which is an experience you never want to associate with certain foods, sushi being at the top of that list. I wont give it a very low rating because Ive only been the one time. For all I know their normal chef was out and they just had a bad day. If i went again and had the same experience, Id definitely give it a bad review. Take this review as "caution. I cant recommend this place based on my only experience.".

The food here is really good. Fussy eaters happy, non sushi eaters converted. But the service was disappointing. A couple in my group got their appetizers after their main course. Another person didnt even gef their appetizer at the same time as the couple, he had to ask for it because they forgot. And although I was the only one to get my appetizer on time, they forgot my main as well. When it finally came, one of my sushis had white rice but the other had brown (on the same plate). Delivery is also tricky because its cash over the phone or online ordering. That being said, the food is so good that a week later I want sushi again for dinner. I can get past inconvenience when the food is excellent.

Went with a friend, I ordered the (completely forgettable) pad thai and she got some (very bleh) sushi. I found a piece of a wire pan scrubber in my food, I brought it to the attention of my server. She apologized, took my plate away, and then brought me a pretty poorly made deep fried ice cream that I didnt really want. I appreciated the gesture, but it would have been nicer to choose something instead of given a deep fried lump of vanilla ice cream covered in thick batter. They also gave me a 15% discount on my food, which, again, was nice but seems pretty stingy for finding a sharp piece of metal inside my mouth. Wont be returning.

When I ordered my food the waitress basically questioned the amount of food I bought she said that I ordered a lot of food and I clearly knew that. The other waitress was FORCING my friends and I to pay a tip when we didnt have to and shes not supposed to make her customers pay a tip. She kept returning with our receipts to make us pay a tip then she said that if were gonna come back to the restaurant and not pay a tip we should stay home. They are very rude

I guess it has a following. Cant figure out why though. The food was very disappointing. My "fried rice" wasnt even fried. Chicken was poached, and the entire dish came out in in warm oil - no browning, just warm. The entire dish was white. Its like they threw it all together - rice, chicken, veggies, oil - and then warmed it under some heat lamps instead of in a wok (or at least griddle, or something capable of browning/shallow frying). Not worth the $10.

Really good food and service. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is that I found the decor/ambiance to be quite improvable. The bar is modern but too long and the back of the place, which has a stage for live music, feels odd. However, it makes up for it with great service and excellent food quality. Would definitely return. I used a restaurant(.)com coupon without any issues on their side.

Sushi was great (highly recommend the sweet potato roll) as were the eggrolls and crab rangoons. Service was not as fast as I expected but it was worth the wait. Towards the back of the restaurant, its a bit strange and I got weird vibes around the bathroom area considering it was a bit rundown. Other than that, fantastic food and lovely waiters.

Half price sushi and appetizers taste very werid,its very unfresh,I guess thats why its half price.my stomach felt so bad after dinner there. It was very quiet when we were there,sushi chef was make sushi without glove and hat,fourturnly I did not find any hair in my food.restaurant looks very old ,dark and dirty.i will never go there again.

Food was very good, excellent sushi, would go back if just for the sushi! Customer service was ok. Very polite but had about four waitresses. The place itself was kinda sketchy and didnt seem as clean as it could be. Overall if youre looking for good food and dont care about appearance or what not, this is a great place to go.

Impeccable service! Everybody is so kind and friendly. Very genuine personalities who love their job. They seemingly love to see peoples joy. The food is amazing. Best sushi Ive eaten. Everything is so fresh and flavors mend beautifully. My taste buds are in heaven every time I eat their food! YUM!!

Wonderful first time going and no regrets! My fiancé and I went with some guys from work who said it was great they werent lying! And on Sundays and Mondays they have half priced rolls which makes it even more awesome! Our bartender was great too very prompt service which made it that much better!

The best sushi I have had in the north shore! Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed. Great service and great atmosphere. Ask for the red bean / green tea fried ice cream off the menu and you will not be disappointed. A must come in Salem!!

The sushi is very fresh and tasty. The waitress and bartender are very polite and professional. The restaurant is very cozy and has great atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and appreciates his customers! We enjoyed it and will definitely come back!

Really good food, but it can be hit or miss. Both the sushi and the dinner options arent totally worth the price, but theyre very solid. Just not outstanding. I am totally for their half priced sushi on sundays and mondays!

This sushi restaurant has an extensive and unique drink menu, as well as delicious sushi and a welcoming atmosphere. Can be a little pricey if you let the drinks add up, otherwise I highly recommend coming at least once.

Best sushi around! The drinks are also excellent, especially the scorpion bowls. The owners wife always comes around and makes you feel special. This is my go to place any time I want sushi!!!

Sushi is super fresh with lots of interesting rolls on special ( the John Smith is my favorite). Innovative drinks and great entrees. There is also lots of fun nightlife with music.
