We were in MV for a long weekend and enjoyed Offshore so much the first night that we went back to it our last night there. The casual atmosphere is great...fun and not in the least pretentious (although how pretentious could you be with peanut shells tossed all over the floor). The beer is great and I overheard the owner saying they had won several awards. The mussels are awesome and you get like a million in one order. I had the burger the first time which was delicious and (surprise) it was actually cooked the way i ordered it. I had the lobster roll the second time which was massive and very light on the mayo which saves the fresh lobster taste. The truffle fries are like crack and I suggest you substitute them for regular fries. Service is good, prompt. We didnt have to wait for a table. Easy to get to. Very little if anything to complain about.

Perfect! The beer is great, the food is honest, and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We spent two nights on the island, ate here the first night, and came back the second night. The fried calamari was super tender, the (local) oysters were fresh and minerally, the ribs were falling off the bone, the pub salad was perfect (except it was too big, so the second night I asked for a half salad, and they were totally accommodating), and the fish and chips were golden and lovely. There were a lot of locals there, which counts for a lot in any restaurant, but especially one in such a touristy area. Staff was friendly, as long as you dont act like a snobby tourist, they wont treat you like one. Go here as much as you can!!!

The offshore ale brewery is far and away the best place to eat and drink when you are on Marthas Vineyard. It is located one street over from circut on Kennebec, near the equally cool, and very inexpensive, (a big WOW for the Vineyard) Oak Bluffs General Store. The atmosphere is really fun, the microbrews are some of the best I have ever had and the service couldnt have been better. And of course there was the food. Try one of there brick-oven pizzas, top notch! So on your next trip to the island put the Offshore Ale on you must list!!

OffShore Ale house was so great we ate there twice in one day. They make their own beer , and all their food is super fresh . We had a ahi tuna sandwich with fresh cut french fries and then later in the day we had their lobster roll with their home made chips and Steamed muscles ! we washed all that awesome tasting food with one or two of their frosty cold brews. Out of our whole vacation that place was my favorite and I would vacation again in Marthas Vineyard just so I can eat at that place again !

I live here on MV, and like everyone else, I LOVE the Offshore. The food is always good, the staff are pros, and its just a comfy, warm room with a good vibe. I met a friend here not long after I had quit drinking, and I wasnt quite sure what I was going to order at a brewpub. I was delighted to discover that they brew their own house-made Root Beer, and it was delicious! I must say, the pizza here is under-rated. It really is among the best in a crowded field here on the Vineyard.

Always happy to dine, year round, lunch or dinner. All local brews most befitting refined palates so do not expect a bland beer here. What impresses most is the changing of menus & calendar events, e.g. the new "test run" Brewhouse Breakfast menu so far only for off-season weekends that is OMG IMO! Also, PEANUTS are EVERYWHERE which may pose a problem to some or overly excite others.

Fun spot in Oak Bluffs. Brewed on-site, which was a nice change from other spots in the Cape and on Marthas Vineyard. Sit at the bar and you can watch the process through the glass. Bartenders are super friendly. Like what you try? They even sell growlers of their beer so you can take it home. Like me and dont like beer? They have a decent sangria you can order by pint glass!

Best meal we had all vacation. We had the grilled Brie for an appetizer. Try it - you wont be sorry! Husband and I split a potato pizza. It was perfect! Our friends had the NY strip and lobster mac & cheese. These entrees were spot on! The Brewers choice beer flight consisted of a nice variety of delicious beers! Will be back for sure next time were in Marthas Vineyard!

Service was rude food was bla. Both Hostess and waiter were very snarky and had attitude of entitlement and air of disliking tourists...Should have left them but had read other reviews and decided to give it a chance.. Bad decision, mussels were awful broth tasteds like dish water. Burger was supposed to be med came tartar! Chips were very greasy. Never again!!!

Our go to spot on island for a least 10 years. Limited menu but enjoyable. One of the best places to get pizza on island if not the best. Rotating beer menu that they brew. Experience is like typical island experience inconsistent. Sometimes we get great service and great food sometimes it is just OK. Will always go back.

Fantastic craft brews from the original Marthas Vineyard craft brewery. The beers are exceptional. My fav is the Eastchop Lighthouse but if its hops you want they have those too. Try the Lazy Frog. The food here is also really good and their brick oven pizzas are delicious

Brick oven pizza, locally brewed beer, and a warm inviting atmosphere; what more could you want? The food really is awesome and the building is rustic and warm. A great place to bring the family, but obviously with all great places there can be a small wait.

Awful food and drinks. Someone in my party ordered fried shrimp and it was raw in the middle. Not to mention they messed up 2 orders. The lobster roll gave me explosive diarrhea and Ive been holding my wifes hair back all night. You have been warned!

Nice and cozy local brewery. They serve peanuts and you throw the shells on the floor. Great IPA. Menu is really good too. Offshore lobster roll is amazing. Try the Bavarian pretzels spears. Pizza is really good too according to my local friend.

Usually with these smaller operations the beer always tastes like home brew to me. Not these guys. Had the IPA and the Double IPA and enjoyed both. Even bought some 4 packs they can on site to take home with me. Food was good too.

Good food, nice atmosphere, great beer. It gets noisy though and very crowded during the summer season. Go early or youll wait avg 30 min. Free peanuts! They shells cover the floor. Steer clear if you have serious nut allergies.

Obviously not a place to go if you have a peanut allergy! The peanuts here are really good, with not too much salt and the freshness you get from leaving them in the shell. This is a great place to go for a beer

On a recent trip to the Vineyard my wife and I stopped at Offshore Ale three times! One night for apps, another for a couple beers, and then on the day we were flying back we stopped there for lunch. Yum!
