8/7/16- Upon reading a food menu that was labeled " the pier" at the entrance of the pier, we decide to walk down the peir to eat at this restaurant for lunch. We get to a blockage of a woman and man standing at a podium. I ask , as I look around, " is this " the pier?" The waitress was kind and said, " what do you mean?" As I was going to say the restaurant, because the appearance did not look like one, the man yells out and flares his arm " this is the pier." I ignore him and speak with the hostess. He also begins to raise his voice about no water bottles in the restaurant. I am holding a 2 yr old and forgot the small water bottle was in my purse. Now we are a party of 2adults, 3 teenagers and 1 toddler. The first table she chooses is next to the band speakers, who were playing, and the next was high tops with a high chair that has the toddler looking under the table and not with the family. I visited from Newport , RI, which is just a touristy if not more and I own a business in the main area so I get it but your " bouncer" couldnt be any more rude and thought the hostess was nice the set up for eating was horrible! Not going to recommend to anyone!!

Ate here 8/7/15 the worst experience in my many years of eating at restaurants. The absolute worst place to eat. The rudest manager ever! The clam strips were giant rubber bands! We sent them back the waitress was very nice and asked if she could get us something else. Then the manager came over and was possed cuz " the reason fpr sendong back the food wasnt good enough for him and was upset that the waitress was getting us something else! The worst of him was when he said he could probably refurbish the food until my sister told him that she tried to eat one. Then he said well then I wont be able to do that!!!!!!!!! Who refubishes food? Nobody! Please dont eat there. The best part was when a couple behind us sent her clam strips back too, tjen the table behind them also sent their food back!!! By the way the awfully rude manager never showed his face again!

Service and food was offensive. We went with our 2 kids and my parents and they blew us off from the minute we got there, we should have left but its our vaca and we didnt want drama so we stuck it out. What a mistake! It was unbelievable how we were treated just asking for an eta on our drinks 25 minutes after ordering. They treated us like we were a pain in the butt even though we were extremely polite and apologetic while avoiding "bothering" them to find out if we would eat after 2 other tables came and went after we were seated. I am really easy going and to leave there feeling that way was SO completely unacceptable, tourist trap or not. We (and everyone we know) will NEVER eat there ever again, I will continue to make sure of that!

Beware! Ok we went in due to kids menu, having fish and we could sit outside. Meals were good waitress super nice! PRICES VERY DECIEVING!!! kids meals DONT come with French fries )1.99 and then DONT come with drinks and that is $3.00 so total cost of normal kids meal = $12.00 ( not noted on menu and not mentioned) Adult sandwiches dont come with French fries but the come out with it and cost 1.99 extra. So ask lots and lots of questions! We had 2 fish dinners, 1 chicken sandwich and 4 kids meals = 126.00!!!!!! We complained minuses French fries from kid meals not total is 108.00. REALLY??? Never again!

Went to get a drink and the sign said seat yourself, so we sat at a table and waited about 10 minutes, expecting to wait a bit because its Friday and it was picking up a bit. We then went to the bar so they would notice we wanted to order. The lady at the bar noticed us and sort of half said be right with you. 20 minutes went by as we sat with our cards ready, and they would glance at us and move on. There were lots of staff, one guy kept just standing around. We were completely ignored and we ended up leaving for the bar at the beginning of the pier.

Ordered the burgers and expected fries with that and turns out you have to order separate. So paying a small burger for $9 and fries another $2 and the food was nothing to shout about... Turns out i paid $16 for a meal and soda...... Also the place looks trashy and it was raining out side yet I was still getting wet inside while eating... I will not be returning there but man They need to fixs that place up and sort out their menu cost because other places better for value for money. Also service was meh but feel like I have been ripped off...

The owner needs to screen his c u next tuesday bartenders. Went there at three pm on July 24th of 2016. The brunette bartender was ruder than a New York City cab driver. The blonde was nice and actually took my drink order instead of pretending I wasnt there not once but three times. Then made a wise crack about her intentionally ignoring me & hid behind a double digit IQ attempt at being witty and edgy. Owner and management needs to screen employees better.

God awful place. Steamers were cold and cost 15 bux. The bouncers are Nazis I got cut off after 1 beer and did not tip on the 5 dollar beer. After that I started getting harrassed by the bouncers and as soon as i started recording them getting aggressive the bouncer punched me in the face and stole my phone. Police had to come and they said its a reg thing at this place. It truly soured my whole OOB trip. Try mr goodbar up the street.

We have stopped by for dinner the last few years while camping in Old Orchard Beach. Today we were disappointed with the cleanliness, the food and the service. The outside tables were not open, the chairs and tables were dirty and the food was nothing special. The captains platter came out piled on a paper plate and the wings were tiny and dry. Dirty conditions, crappy frozen refried food for a costly amount.

The Pier is a unique place to visit. BUT it is really geared towards a younger crowd. We were there at 1:00 for lunch and the views are amazing! I wouldnt recommend taking children there after a certain time. The food was just OK, there are better places to eat but if you want a unique experience and want to have an afternoon drink go ahead you will love the views.

No service. Waited at the entrance, the bar. Other groups came from I dont know where and were seated. No signage indicating to seat ourselves or where to order from. Crew members all over the place. The beach is crowded yet only a dozen or so people in the restaurant, I can see why. This place is a waste of prime real estate.

We went there for a late lunch and our experience was terrible. Service was just ok. Food on the other hand worst then a fast food place. Everything was deep fried in burned oil and nothing really special. Way overpriced. Id rather go to a Strike Zone. Much better food fresh and much more fair prices.
