A friend and I went to see the World War 2 bombers at Norwood Memorial Airport, and decided bring our lunch money to Tasos Euro Cafe, in the airports parking lot. Their hours sign showed that they were closed on Sunday, but the door was open, so we went in.
My friend ordered a sub and I saw a small Gyros pitta on the menu, which I ordered. The food came really fast. The sub was decent, the Gyros tasty. I was a bit disappointed that the Gyros was americanized Greek meat loaf, not the traditional pork-and-lamb-sliced-off-the-grill that Greek restaurants in Europe serve.
My coffee was decent, but my friend took a sip of his coke, made a face and left it on the table: a fountain drink made from unfiltered chlorinated town water.
The waitress, a young Greek lady, came and asked how the food was, but didnt wait for an answer amd turned around and left before we could ask for a bottled coke from the refrigerator. No refill on the coffee either.
When the bill came, nicely tucked in a leather pouch, I noticed that the fountain drink and the coffee were $2.95 each - pricey.
The bottom line showed $20 and change, we decided to leave $22 As we walked out, the waitress came running behind us, telling us that we didnt leave enough money for the meal.
My first thought was, that I accidentally pulled a $10 note in stead of a $20 note, but no, when I looked at the cash register receipt the waitress showed me, I noticed I should have pulled the receipt out of the pouch: I had missed the tax and the grand total for $22.26 ...

Two friends and I went here today. We had greek salad (very fresh), pita bread (warm), Mousaka (the best Ive ever had), lamb shihkebob, rice and spinach pie. Everything was delicious. The waitress (Christina) and her mother served us efficiently and Christina was especially friendly and accommodating. You dont go to this place for atmosphere - you go for fabulous food, at a reasonable price. Any of those negative comments below were a long time ago. Maybe they got the message because I would recommend this place to anyone I know. Yummy!

I cannot understand the negative reviews...I have been to Tasos many, many times and have never had anything but polite and helpful service. And the food is wonderful. You wont find better Greek food anywhere. Everything is homemade: all desserts, salad dressing, pizza dough, etc. The souvlakia (chicken or lamb) is wonderful as are the pastitchio, baked lamb, lamb chops, subs, spanokopita, and so on. And afterward, you can stroll over to the airport, sit on a bench and watch planes, helicopters or the Great Blue Hill! Youll love it!

Our neighbors recommended this place after we said we LOVED Greek food. So went out one evening to check it out and were VERY disappointed. We waited in a line for 20 minutes (no one who worked there even acknowledged the line of people waiting). When we finally sat down it was almost on top of the other patrons at the restaurant. When the food came it was discussing and not worth the price. Usually I like "off the beating path" eateries but this one should stay way off the beating path. I won’t listen to my neighbors again.

My wife and I went for lunch on the advice of her dentist! The servers were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and portions were HUGE! As others have said if youre looking for atmosphere you may be disappointed. If, however you are looking for authentic home made Greek and Italian dishes this is the place for you!

This is the sort of place that has fabulous food, but a lackluster atmosphere. I swear, the food makes up for it! Besides which, I sort of like the small airport setting- its charming and theres plenty of parking. The tzatziki is delicious, and weve enjoyed the grapeleaves, pastichio, souvlake and mousaka... all were fabulous!

Wow. Never even got to the food. Rude, lazy, mean and down right ugly are the words I would use to describe the owners daughter/waitress. He needs to tell her "Euro --- OUT OF HERE" Clearly a very unhappy person who takes out her aggression on her patrons when shes not been fed her meds. We walked out. Maria Schreier

Lol...when I told my partner I was taking him to the Norwood Airport for lunch he questioned my state of mind. Afterwards? You now have a new fan!!
