I have been to many of the pizza and sub shops in Rozzie. Checkmate is unequivocally the best!! Pizza is a thin crust with the right amount of topping that does not overpower the balance of flavor. Subs use a great roll that is the best in Boston in my opinion. They are not soggy like other local shops and have the best cold cuts. The Italian is great but if you want to truly try something phenomenal try the Ultimate sub with sliced pork, ham, cheese, et al on a toasted GARLIC BUTTER roll. Its Insane! I first got their mailer and almost threw it out and noticed free delivery. With all the local delivery restaurants charging money for delivery I figured I would give them a try. I have ordered from them about 20 times and have never been disappointed in the food quality and at a reasonable price!! I have written only a few reviews but had to tell everyone about this place. Checkmate is a must eat restuaurant!!!

I usually have a good experience there but today. Today i was parked in front of the building and i was about to go in. Then a man in a blue car pulled up next to me and told me that was his parking spot. I was bit confused why he would need me to move from a public parking spot. I told him no i was staying. Then a man with a delivery bag comes out of the car and walks into the restaurant. I was shocked that someone wouldmake me feel that uncomfortable. So i dont think i will be eating there anytime soon.

whaooooo. "DELICIOUS" My family we were thinking of going out so, we decided to order from the Checkmate. I ordered the Chicken and broccoli Alfredo It was just right. it was delicious. a Grill Chicken Hot sub we Love it. and we order the Shrimp fried plate and it was great. This is a great place to order. and it was right on time. and the Delivery person he was very pleasant.... we are so glad we order from this Place. Thank you........
