I love a coffee shop/cafe that is not Starbucks. Patio and indoor seating. Friendly staff and customers. I also like the fact that you get actual glasses and mugs for beverages. Less waste for dine in. Downsides may be me specific, but they do detract from the overall experience. Tables are often dirty when you sit down. This is a high volume place and staff cant keep up with serving and cleaning. Kickstand also has a laptop policy in place to accommodate both people who are working and people who are there to talk. I am here weekly and often have trouble finding a seat bc a laptop user is at a regular table and not in the laptop spaces. Like a I said, this might bug only me.

I just moved close to this place and Ive already been here 4 times. The coffee is really good. I love their medium roast, and this last time I didnt even bother putting in sugar because its so freaking tasty. I typically get one of their scones, although I tried their lox sandwich once and almost vowed to never eat any other thing again. They have gluten free baked goods with an ingredient list, which is really good for my kid who is allergic to everything. He loves both their hot chocolate and mint lemonade.

One of the better non commercial coffee houses with great food choices. Seating is 7th grade wood chairs that kill you ass. Cambridgian type with no humor, social skills or personality...I prefer the dogs to the people. Bike able destination off the pathway. Although bikers are not attentive to cars, traffic, crossings etc. Suicidal or dumb? Staff is great. But need more silliness...Too subdued.

I adore this cafe since its walking distance from where I live. They do have a small parking lot shared with the dry cleaner next door but its small! There is also some street parking. And just to know ... its always packed when I go! So expect to wait a bit for a table. They also have outdoor seating which is lovely during the warmer months. Awesome staff and the food/coffee is delish!

The owner has done his research. Has all the things one wants in a cafe...except maybe some comfy couches. Great Iggis bakery goods, fantastic drinks (Mexican Hot Chocolate w pepper, Lime Tea w ginger etc...). Small meals are good, but not my thing, but are very high quality. Noisy because it is popular! Great WiFi, a decent amount of outlets....

Live nearby, want to love that place but the cofee is sub-par, staff is often distracted... They dont take names for orders just yell a type of drink/food when its ready for pickup, very common to take other peoples order by mistake. It also gets really loud. Not a to-go place to get some work done, more of a family socializing cafe with kids.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Typical crowd of people on computers, locals chatting, groups of parents with young kids. The espresso was great, not over roasted or over extracted and with a good crema. Great homemade green juice drink. Large windows and a nice energetic vibe where one could get some work done or be more social.

Many items on the menu are amazing, but dont order anything that isnt pre made if you are in a rush. A grilled cheese will take 10+ minutes, but if you do have time it is great with some tomato soup. The pastries on offer are likewise very good, with options for vegans and the gluten sensitive.

Coffee is good. Slightly barren space. More suburban Moms than hipsters. And - typical of the region - staff gives air of being slighly annoyed at having to get you a coffee. But hey, it beats Starbucks. 2nd visit - they ran out of cookies. Still had coffee fortunately.

I love kickstand, I go there on occasional weekends with my dog in the morning and the oatmeal is amazing. I can also say that their Ruebens are the best. The quality coffee doesnt hurt either. Overall I would totally recommend kickstand for any meal and time of day.

Pleasant atmosphere: people have light lunches and do computer work, talking to friends and associates. Food is tasty. Personnel is pleasant and helpful, but portions are small and overpriced compare to DT Boston. It is on the bike path: great location!

Their coffee is delicious and isnt too highly priced. They also have day old baked goods at a super discounted price (I like the price and reduced waste). The baked goods are also pretty tasty. Everyone is super nice and theres a good space for studying.

This place is alive and kicking, and you can tell by the sheer numbers congregating here for either a quick coffee, a small bite or a longer stop with their laptops. It is the go-to-place for bikers along the minuteman trail and locals alike!

Ive been coming here since they opened. The food is good, the coffee is strong, the service is great. There are no comfy chairs or sofas. High ceilings and open space make it incredibly loud. If you like it noisy, the Kickstand is for you!

Last time I went my latte was a little cold, but I also think that it was because it was about 15 mins before closing time and the barista was anxious to close up shop and clean up. Overall, great coffee and delicious food options daily.

We just moved to the neighborhood and the Kickstand has quickly become a family favorite. Everything is good. It gets very busy, and the food is still made very well. They do a great job, have a great selection! The coffee is very good.

Food selection is eclectic, but still has coffee shop staples like muffins, bagels, and baked goods. Good latte: flavorful though not particularly strong. Wifi is good, but requires an hourly login

We are here while visiting Boston. The food is delicious and plentiful, the service is fantastic, and our experience was great. They have gluten-free bread, too! We would recommend it to anyone.

I love the food, drinks, service. And its a great place to hang out with friends… outside. The acoustics are terrible. Just like they were in its dorkier past lives as Carberrys and Jamin Java.

One of my favorite places to hang out. Kid friendly, free (if slightly sporadic) WiFi, large seating space, and right on the bike path. Coffee and soups are great. Sometimes a little loud.

Great coffee, tea and pastries...much preferred to SBs, but the wifi is not stable...frequently knocked off. Cant work over a Latte but maybe that is the point.

Great food, great coffee, fun and friendly folks behind the counter. This place has become my new go-to coffee shop. Only wish they were open later.

Great place, quaint, friendly atmosphere, opened floor seating. Staff was pleasant. Our sandwiches were really tasty, came in a reasonable time.

Great vibe and tasty treats. The espresso has a nice flavor, but quality of drink preparation is inconsistent, e.g., baristas dont make good foam.
