I was at the re-opening party last night and it was just fabulous! The new and expanded space is wonderfully hip and classy at the same time. Tastefully decorated and with great improvements that bring the sound level down, it now offers a view into the kitchen through an elongated glass window, that allows a glimpse of the artisans at work. And the food is as breath-taking as it always has been. Chef and owner Barry Edelman brought out some of his favorite dishes last night, including his famous skate wing, red beet salad, and the lamb chops. The new menu includes local and super-fresh fare, and you can now either get a reservation on the restaurant side or just drop in on the bar side and sit in the lounge. A new addition to the menu is the raw bar that includes fresh oysters, as well as a hugely increased wine list. You will want to make your reservations soon, because this is (again) the hottest place in Marblehead (and surrounding towns)...

We took my parents to this restaurant because (1) my Dad was paying for it and (2) I had heard about it on the TV (WBZ?) where they said that the renowned chef had moved out from Boston to the burbs. That is all I knew about it. My husband has a hard time spending more than $10 for an entree, so this was my chance to try it. And boy, were we happy with our meals! It did take a while for our food to come out, a little longer than we thought it should, but the wait was definitely worth it. We ordered the Sole, the Kale, the Skate and the Pasta and Seafood dishes. Every single one of them had distinctly wonderful sauces and the flavors and textures were exquisite. We did not order desserts, so I cant comment on them, but they sounded great. This will be the place I make my husband take me to for my next birthday without a doubt!

Went for dinner last night without a reservation and even though they were packed they still found us a table within 5 minutes. Every aspect of this establishment is top notch. The service from the hostest to the bus boy, bartender and server were execptional. The food was high quality and prepared to perfection. The drinks and desert were fabulous. I will deffinatly com back to Marblehead if not only for 5CK! Keep up the astounding work, and thanks for helping to make my aniversery that much more special.

Large picture windows along the street-facing booths, pendant Edison bulb lighting, velvet curtains to warmly insulate from the outdoors, separate bar space with subway tile backsplash throughout prep space -- to say nothing of the food! -- this is the nicest restaurant in Marblehead, centrality located and featured. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service is nearly as good. Definitely enjoy this place if youre in town and in the mood for upscale meal.

Big city dining in the heart of a small town, 5 corners delivers nothing short of excellence in everything they serve. They have both a good bar program with quality cocktails and a nice wine selection to compliment stellar food. The bill is going to hurt at the end of your meal, but you get what you pay for, and 5 corners always delivers a top quality experience.

Service was stellar here from start to finish (even with us arriving an hr before closing). My partner was in ecstasy over his Steak & Frites; I was very happy with my Line In Cod, perfectly cooked with a delicious crust and accompanying sauces. Best food we had since we landed in Boston last week, incredibly executed and thoughtful menu.

This is a very classy place with great food, excellent bar and beautiful surroundings. It isnt the last expensive place around but the quality is evident in everything they do. The staff is wonderful and as a bonus they have $1 oyster specials everyday from 5:00-6:00!

Had my birthday dinner here and it was excellent. Service was great and the food was wonderful. We had the lentils and sausages, and the skate fish. Both were perfect. Will be back soon!

European Specials

My favorite place in Marblehead. I absolutely love everything on their menu but my favorite is chicken liver mousse. Please bring back the beef tongue if possible :)

Have been here many times. Cant go wrong with the steak frites but the whole menu is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Check it out for sure.
