Savory Square Bistro - Hampton, NH - 6/14/2016 Seemingly in the middle of nowhere there is an oasis called Savory Square Bistro! Unbeknownst to me its a cooking school and restaurant... The people are super friendly and really make you feel at home... Especially Aline the hostess... Convenience of online booking added to easy to get to via my GPS and you have a real winner... First out the Baguette rolls with a honey, scallion & garlic alongside garlic olive oil... They bring in the bread par-baked and finish it off quite nicely... My server, Craig was great with the recommendations snd started me off with the Grilled BLT... Grilled romaine, crispy bacon, marinated tomatoes, Great Hill blue cheese all dressed in a red wine vinaigrette... Amazingly delicious! I love soup and who can pass up their New England Seafood Chowdah... Baby shrimp, scallops, crab meat, corn and red bliss potatoes in a rich creamy broth, topped with chopped bacon and smoked paprika oil... No joke- Best Ive ever had in all the places I go! For the main the Pork Tenderloin Lyonnaise Au Dijon... Dijon cream sauce, bacon fat grilled leeks, roasted tomatoes, mixed beans; wax and green served with a vegetable pilaf. The pork was cooked to a warm pink center with a savory flavour that will set your taste buds on fire. To say it was delicious would be an understatement- Wow! Just the right amount of everything! I wasnt going to have dessert until I saw the chocolate cookie... Baked individually and accompanied by warm chocolate syrup and a ball of vanilla ice cream... Add to that a spot on cappuccino... Chef Aaron Duval is a master of his craft! The dishes that come out of his kitchen are perfect in every detail... From the arrangement of the foods... To the textures... Colors... Each dish beautifully choreographed.. I will definitely be back!

My wife and I had the good fortune to dine at the Savory Square Bistro. We had a late lunch and that allowed us to take advantage of the 3 Course Lunch special for an amazing $15. The dining atmosphere set a warm mood and the food presentation was extraordinary. I was so impressed with my Pork Piccata that I asked to see the chef: Zachary King, who was gracious of my praise and he suggested I come back and try the Pork Chop dinner which I had considered at first but I was not hungry enough for dinner. The dessert was a chocolate flourless torte with raspberry coulis warm creme anglaise and whipped cream. As with the salad, it was a marvelous blend of flavors and textures that you only can find in an upscale fine dinning experience. This was our first time but clearly will not be that last as we have discovered a gem. The only problem is if too many people read this, we may not get a table. I would suggest calling for reservations to be sure. I would be remiss to forget to mention the waiter and hostess both of whom were professional and accommodating; In short, we highly recommend the Savory Square Bistro.

Have eaten here two other times and LOVED it. Food was not hot at all. Carrot ginger bisque, my favorite, was too die for. Brought another couple for dinner last night. It was aweful! We were all sick all night and next day! Ordered the bisque which had NO ginger flavor, more of a pureed carrot slop. Told the waiter who suggested is was due to the grapefruit martini I was drinking, seriously. Gents ordered seafood porto fino....bland, overcooked shrimp and lobster, scallops only thing edible. Sister ordered veal on waiters recommendation.....needed to cook for longer, tough and tasteless (only thing edible there was the fried artichoke). I ordered salmon.....sour tasting, veggies were OK. Salad and bread filled me thankfully. When we spoke with a manager about our dissatisfaction, they took the soups off the bill. Will never go back and wouldnt recommend to anyone!!!!!!!! Sooooo disappointed that we waisted $275.00. Would have been better off at MacDonalds.

Scheduled a cooking class for a birthday gift to my girl friend, they canceled it two days before and we had the whole weekend planed around it. Not making me look very good with the gift choice. Why even offer a class that you wont support if a few people dont sign up? No inconvenience offering either, just refunded and now stuck with no plans.

We are frequent diners at the Bistro ... have never had a bad meal there and love the variations they make to the menu in different seasons. New "Small Bites" menu is perfect as an app or just a simple bite to go with one of Pauls awesome cocktails. Chef Duval is magic. Thanks for all the great meals and memories made at the Bistro!

Took 40 minutes to get our appetizer, crab cakes. They were just ok. French onion soup was dreadful with a weird looking, soggy cheese situation. The entrees took another 40 min to get to the table and the steak was unbearably peppery and the pork loin was pink and raw with crunchy asparagus. Didnt have to pay for any of it thankfully

Not very good. I ordered a burger med well it was raw. The poutine was just plain gross. Very disappointing. I will not be eating here again
