I didnt expect from biryani pot .there are few things which led me write this review 1)they have not updated their menu prices . Guys if you look at their prices online or even took their paper menu from your restaurant from last visit . Their rates are way different from online and actual new menu . I ordered tandoori chicken and they charge 19.65 and on top of it they didnt give me whole tandoori chicken and gave me 4 leg pieces for my go to order . When enquire wirh lady who doesnt know much English she said thats our new rate and I told them I ordered same order 2 weeks ago for $16 which she regused . They dont take your words man whatever it is .. second weird thing the chicken was not cooked well they gave me half cooked so I had to trash it . Waste of time and appetite loss , interest lost. 2) they Carx swipe machine was broken for cards wirh chip and their machines doesnt have sliding option . That last at reception informed me and started looking at me wa Ting for something , I told her I am out of cash and then she said now what to do , strange thing. 3 )main thing This restaurant doesnt serve the same type of food which other biryani pot does . The chicken tandoori whole should have leg , breast and I have tried from several other restaurants . I often pick my food especially tandoori thrice a week at the least ..also their food was smelling . Some weird odor . Guys I dont know if that location give fresh food My suggestion dont go there or eat at on risk check the rates with them over the phone etc

Was there for lunch earlier today with friends. Not impressed with the overall service & experience. Visit if you have no other alternatives. Key reasons - (0) Ordered Veg Thalis but received Non-Veg thalis instead which was a very big put-off to start with as we realized only after having started eating some of the dishes. They replaced the thalis without much fuss but doesnt speak very highly of their kitchen hygiene! However the contents were cold by the time the replacement thalis came. Naans were rubbery. (1) What they served as Pav Bhaji was more like Dabeli! (2) Veg Biryani was very ordinary, I have had better in the US itself (3) Service is average, sort of on-demand; you need to ask what you want. For eg., had to request the waiter to get white rice (4) May be a little too much baking soda which makes you feel full after eating few items and I have a decent appetite (5) Advice to the restaurant - Thalis, since multiple items are served all at once, may not be best suited for cold countries as those items become cold very quickly and dining experience is not great

[May 2017 Update - Brought two friends and shared three different biryanis and Manchurian Gobi. Loved the gobi, the biryanis were very good though we all felt the veg was least favorite with less flavor. Great restaurant for fresh Indian food!.] We visited the BIryani Pot a second time since opening. We went in the evening after a meeting when we were super hungry. The menu offers a nice selection which is available in the evenings and weekend lunch times. During the week, it is still a Thali menu which we highly recommend. This time we were able to try the Hydrabadi Biryani (shrimp, chicken) and it was extremely good. The food tastes fresh and the chicken was moist, completely not over cooked or having a "reheated" texture. The flavours were excellent and the prices very fair. The service is still slower than regular American expectations would be comfortable with, but having the wait for good tasting food is okay with us, just be ready to wait a bit. The service is very prompt and respectful. Well done, looking forward to our next visit!!

Giving only 2 stars as I had very good and very bad experience with the same hyderabadi goat dum biriyani within a period of days. a) Last week, the goat meat was in nice small pieces and the flavour and spice was amazing. The taste of biriyani rice was also yummy. Wait time 10 mins --- rating 5 stars b) Yesterday the goat meat pieces was big enough to not fit in my mouth even if i squeezed it in, rating 3 stars c) The spice set my tongue on fire in the evening and heart burn in the morning. Do they have two different chefs preparing the food ? rating 2 stars d) Try to order the food in advance of going there as I had to wait 30 mins even though not very crowded. rating 3 stars

This restaurant opened very recently. I tried this restaurants 2 months back and since then this became my favorite restaurant in Newton area. Overall all food items are very delicious. Crispy Masala Pepper corn, Paneer tikka, Veg and Paneer Biryani are very authentic and very yummy. Last week I gave them catering order. Everyone was very much impressed with food. So far I tried all veg appetizers like, Pepper corn gobi manchurian , biryanis., tandoor, double ka mitta etc. Ive been here 5-6 times now and have not been disappointed.. I hope they will maintain their food quality...

Being an Indian, I think the name of the restaurant should be South Indian Biriyani pot. It was really hot and salty except Nans and yougurt. We ordered non spicy chicken for my 7 yr old daughter but they served something very spicy ( according to them it was mild). When asked for yougurt, for my daughter who just tasted their mild chicken preparation they served 300 gm Yogurt ( after I made sure that I am going to pay for that). I think they should have informed us about their food before we place order. This was our second time and may be the last time.

This has become my regular biryani takeout place. I usually order their spl chicken biryani, which is delicious and pick it on my way back home from work. I called in today to place an order for the same, the guy recommended todays spl chicken Keema biryani and I agreed to go with it. I just loved it. The best part of their biryani is the flavor and the biryani is not at all greasy. If you are a biryani lover just like me I will definitely recommend this place. I hope they maintain their quality and quantity

Very bad experience ...first visit we ordered Bagala Baingan which described itself as peanut masala gravy but they served sambar with brinjal...the Jeera rice was double salty and had some odd unrecognisable flavour....i am not sure about Biryanis here but ordering other Ala carte gravy n rice is not advisable...I want to remind them people who eat here are mostly indians who know how the dish should really taste and not fool us by substituting with sambar bases ! Pretty bad experience

I came here the first time with family on the recommendation of a coworker who told me its the best Indian food in the city. I have to agree. Highly recommended are their biryani dishes and amazing veg & non veg appetizers, which are slow cooked rice and meat dishes that have such an astounding blend of flavors that I really cant even describe it. Ill just say that its fantastic. Service is really good and we loved their Falooda and Badam Milk.. I strongly recommend this place..
