I love Rasoi - its my favorite Indian restaurant! We dine there nearly once a week. The food that we get is excellent, and the service is the best Ive ever encountered. The owner and staff are friendly, attentive, and flexible, accommodating special preparation requests with ease. After only a few visits, they remember our order (including many special requests!) when we ask for the usual." We eat a primarily plant-based diet with no dairy and very little oil, and its difficult to find a good restaurant that works for us. Rasoi really satisfies! They have GREAT garlic roti, the dal Makhani has a wonderful flavor, and I especially love the grilled veggie plate - crisp veggies served sizzling on a traditional iron skillet. Another reviewer called it bland, but I like the fact that it has no fat and I control the salt. With a generous squeeze of lemon and a few shakes of salt and pepper, I find it delightful - and sooooo healthy - totally guilt-free! Rasoi is great about substituting the veggies I dont want for others I enjoy in the dish. We will continue to visit our friends at Rasoi and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and yummy healthy food!

I ordered lamb biryani for a potluck today. They just threw in cooked pieces of lamb into previously cooked rice. And then threw raw cashew nuts and raisins and gave it a stir. True biryani has fried cashews, onion strips and raisins. The meat was tough. I requested them to cut the meat into small cubes so that we didnt need knives. They instead put in 3" cubes! We only ordered from them because the restaurant was on our way. Past experiences with this restaurant have been just as bad..If you want authentic biryani and other South East Asian food, then go to Punjabi grill, less than a mile west. BTW they do NOT have a childrens menu (unless its a recent addition) and the place is overly cramped. Dont go there in the summer because their AC is under capacity and the food is too spicy. Lotsa sweat x bad AC = awful experience! The service is decent, but thats the only plus.

Not recommended. Stay away... The person came to take order was rude. Looked like the only guy that does taking order, getting food and sitting guests etc We asked for puri with potato curry with rice from kids menu and did it a TO GO , because our son became cranky with waiting till his sleep time. They charged full for the food but did not give the Juice that comes along with the item per their menu. Again the kid started crying seeing no juice -one of the selling point for him to eat. When we opened the pack.. the puri was ok, rice is dry enough to cook again. The most interesting fact was about the potato curry. It looked baseless and was really tasteless. I consider myself a bland -eater, even I could not take second bite. It was just turmeric and potato boiled together. No gravy to be seen either.

This place is a real gem. Its at least as good as my favorite Indian restaurant in Cambridge, which is really saying something. The food has a freshness and complexity of flavor not found at most other Indian restaurants. I can tell there is real care taken in the preparations. Ive only gotten takeout, so I cant comment on the service, but it looks nice enough in there and the guy at the front is always friendly. I guess the people complaining about the prices would rather have the typical generic-tasting style found elsewhere and dont know the difference. Personally, Ill choose Rasoi every time. I particularly recommend the Dal Makhani. Its one of the best Ive had, even rivaling the Dal at Tulsi in Kittery, Maine (EXTREMELY high praise, for those who havent been to Tulsi).

My wife and I regularly order out from Rasoi, and are never disappointed. Their special "Chicken 65" is one of my all time favorite dishes. We have been eating "Indian Food" regularly since moving to Boston area in 2000 and Rasoi is one of the best restaurants we have ever had the pleasure to dine at. Weve taken both sets of our parents there on several occasions. The proprietor is a true gentleman, and always makes us feel appreciated. It is my sincere hope that they will be in business for many years to come!

Great food, very simple and delicious. Prices are not over inflated like some of the other restaurants. I understand that it can be pricy but I used to live in San Diego were you could find many kinds of food ranging from Korean BBQ, Sushi, to Ethiopian and Indian but like some unspoken law places were over priced and were no better than others that were cheeper. Having tried 3 other Indian places in Framingham alone, this has been not only the best tasting food but its so far been the most reasonably priced.

I used to eat there every week years ago. Visiting my family here in Framingham I decided to try it again. Not looking at the menu I called in asking for takeout: special Briani for 2, a mixed tandoori plate, the Aloo potato dish and of course naan bread. When I came to pickup my bill was $68!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, $68. The Briani was $29.99 the Tandoori $17.99 the potatoes and cauliflower thingy (Aloo something) was $12.99! This is Framingham not NYC. To top it all off the good was average at best.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. Their lunch buffet is phenomenal and reasonably priced, their chicken saag is the best I have ever had (and I go to a lot of Indian Restaurants), and the food comes out timely! I can not say one bad thing about Rasio. I have recommended this restaurant to many of my friends and every single one of them has loved it! I come to Rasio whenever I have the chance and have never left feeling unsatisfied. Definitely try it out if you have a chance.

Horrible Food. I went to this place to give treat to few of my friends. The place looks good and the staffs are also good but the food was very bad.My friends ordered almost all varieties of non-vegs [fish, shrimp, chicken, mutton] but everything tasted the same, It had the same kind of tomato flavor and the taste was very bad. I ended up with my friends being unhappy and paid around 140$ for it. Price is expensive too, in any other place I would have expected it to be around 30$ less.

My wife and I had dinner at Rasoi this week. The food was very nice, the waiter (owner?) was very courteous, the food was out very quickly (there were only three parties in the restaurant at the time though), and with just two entrees we had enough for dinner and took a sizable amount of leftovers home. The Baigan Bartha and the mango lassi were excellent! We will come back.

Hi, I am from NJ and on a consulting assignment in Framingham. I stay at Framingham from Monday through Friday. There are so many restaurants on Route 9, but none that can match the taste and authenticity of Rasoi. I have tried all types of foods and loved everything that I have eaten here. The hotel staff is very friendly and caring. A must visit if you are in this area
