There has been a change with this restaurant, and not for the better. There is a new system in place for ordering on line. Tonight I ordered our usual selection, and when prompted for payment, I chose "credit card". I ordered, changed some of the commentary on how to prepare our food, entered the required information from the card and hit submit. Upon arrival of my order I was told it was a "cash" sale. I explained about the order being submitted as credit. In addition to this, they had charged me for an item that I didnt order. Earlier, prior to receiving my order, someone had called me back in regards to a comment on not wanting spicy chicken. I explained that I deleted that comment as I did not order the chicken, but before I was understood, the young woman said she would take care of it and hung up. What she did was add the chicken dish to my order. I told the delivery server that I had charged my meal, and that I did not order the chicken dish. I was told to speak with someone from the online menu company, and when I called there was no one to help me. I called Eighty Eight and was told that the mistake was mine because I did not place the order with them! What? Seriously? The person who took my call did not try to resolve the issue, read back my order as if I had temporary memory loss and told me that it was a cash transaction. I asked him as an owner, what would you suggest to a loyal customer to resolve the matter. He proceeded to tell me that I owed him cash. That was it for me. I had paid for the item. There system didnt recognize my payment process. I told him he has lost a customer of 10 years and he could eat my order. As for the food, I can not say how it was tonight, but in the past few months there was a change in how it tasted. The chicken chow mein was no longer tasting right, and they no longer offered the pancake to go with the Mooshie Beef. After tonights experience, and the rude customer service, I will no longer order meals from this restaurant. The Mandarin at Endicott Plaza is now my go to place for eating Chinese.

This place is great and under new ownership. I happen to know the manager Sing and he has worked extremely hard to bring 88 to a top notch high end Chinese Restaurant. I will recommend everyone I know to stop on by and show the new owners support. The quality in food has increased tremendously and we the customers are grateful for that. We notice the changes being made over there and I wanted to show my support. Keep up the good work. There is a big difference between a fast food restaurant and Chinese food restaurant. That is why the 88 stands out. You changed the way I felt about the whole Chinese fast food restaurant belief. You are actually a high end Chinese restaurant who caters to your customers and their every desire.

Our daughters go to a parochial school near this location and we heard about it from other parents. When we first went I was a little skeptical -- this is a very small "hole in the wall" restaurant. I ordered the cashew chicken and was quickly convinced: the food is hot, fresh, and VERY flavorful! The best part is they do not use MSG in their cooking (according to their menu), and one of our family members cannot tolerate MSG and has done very well with their cooking. So, if you are in the area and want to try it -- go for it!

I like the place, owner is nice and kind person. Good food , not too much oil... And they are never rude ! I am giving 4 star, because they have tea and coffee machine in the lobby for customers and it has lots of dust on it.

I found an inch long metal shaving inside the batter of my chicken finger. When I called, they passed the buck and I got nowhere. Ridiculous.
