We came to celebrate Easter at Aura with our 3 year old daughter. The restaurant had advertised an Easter egg hunt and visits with the Easter bunny. Our entire experience was such a disappointment. I had called in advance to see if we could add two family members to our party, which would make us a party of 4 plus a small child. I was told very brusquely this was not possible and then was warned not to be more than 15 minutes late or the reservation would be dropped. We got to the restaurant 15 minutes early and were seated immediately at a large 4 person table. There were 4 tables immediately around us which were empty and three of those stayed that way for our entire visit. We were then told that the last Easter egg hunt would occur in 30 minutes. (I had also called to ask when the Easter egg hunt would be, as we were planning on it being the main entertainment for our daughter and didnt want to miss it. I was told, "There are lots of them. You arent the only ones attending the brunch.")?? In fact, we had to leave the table just a little while after we had received our drinks to go upstairs and line up for the hunt. The Easter egg hunt lasted for about 5 minutes in which all the older children ran and grabbed all the eggs, leaving none for the little ones. The organizer of the event later came to the tables that had small children (after the lady seated next to me had words with the manager), handing out a couple of eggs. Nice, but the whole point is to have fun finding them. The food was uninspired and rather dull. The standard eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, and then lunch items such as baked salmon and cocktail shrimp, a carving station with sirloin. The service was rough and hurried. Then a 20% gratuity was automatically added by the restaurant (for a buffet??) and we were also then told that the restaurant no longer validates parking. $27 to park for brunch. In the end Im glad our other family members werent allowed to join us. They would have been as disappointed as we were.

I love Aura! Yes, if you need garage parking, it is expensive, but the food and service are first class. As for the brunch, everything comes out in small portions so it is always fresh. Honeycomb provided from their own bees, real REAL maple syrup--where else do you get these things? Nowhere. I am a vegetarian, and they have lots of choices for me. Carnivores, plenty for you as well! Their Hollandaise sauce is amazing. Need anything you dont see? They will make it for you no questions asked. The waiters are absolutely amazing. This is a first class restaurant and my wife and I try to go as often as we possibly can. I do wish they would stay open later for brunch. They close at 12:30. And to be a accurate, the tip is included in the price-not added to the price. It is around $24.00 with tip, coffee, juice. No up-charges. My local joint charges $14 plus $2.50 for coffee plus $2.50 for juice + a tip - basically the same price for a far lower quality experience. Another think I love is that Aura is quiet and upscale. I can have a nice relaxing conversation with my wife, family, and friends as we eat.

We came here after purchasing a Google Offer deal - $69 for a three-course dinner for 2 ($175 value). Great way to be introduced to new restaurants we have not been to. In our case this was not a good introduction, we did feel intentionally deceived. While food was great and service were fine, we did feel cheated as the deal we have purchased with $175 value was totally deceiving. There is absolutely no way with Auras limited menue a dining couple can order a three course dinned up to that amount. We were not allowed to order lobster ?! (the most expensive item @ market value) and we do not eat meat. However even if you ordered the lamb @ $38 (the second highest priced item after lobster) plus the $15 appetizer and a $10 dessert for each of two people you would still stay far below the $175 value of the coupon. Did not feel like a fair proposition and left a bad "aftertaste" :( There are too many great restaurants in Boston, with great food, great service and great atmosphere - in this case unfortunately we will not be back.

Went here on New Years Eve and shelled out quite a bit of money up font for a 4 course dinner. We were sat promptly at 8PM and then the waiting started. At 11:15 PM the 3rd course had yet to arrive. Our entire half of the restaurant was in the same boat. Although half of the restaurant received their food in a timely manner my table was not a part of that group. We asked our server to cancel the remaining two courses and to refund half the bill so that we could leave and still catch the ball drop at midnight. Our server refused to refund anything and even after speaking with the manager we were refused any sort of refund on the meal. To make things worse 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. Although the food was decent it wasnt great and it very over priced. I would not wish this experience on anyone. With so many great restaurants in Boston I would not bother wasting time and money at this one.

Ate there tonight. Service and atmosphere was nice. The food was very average and way over-priced. Two entrees and the second cheapest bottle of wine on the menu and the bill was $150.00 with the automatic 20% gratuity added in. There are so many other restaurants in Boston that cost half as much and are way better food.

Great place. Location is nice, parking is fairly easy to find but its pricy and there is a waiting time between meals. Else food is great and I liked the service. Brought my gf here for a birthday. Birthday special was fairly good.

Started the meal at7:30 and left the restaurant at 10:30. Can you say slow service? I ordered the tuna which was bland, unevenly cooked. It was very boring for the price. Extremely disappointed.

Awesome meal and wonderful service. Steak cooked to perfection. Good wine list this place is terribly underated and should be pushed to the top of fine quisine. Will eat here tomorrow!

Fantastic breakfast buffet. The Eggs Benedict are a dream, and honeycombs dripping some divine good honey are spectacular as well. Service is OK. A little overpriced though.
