First time I have been in this establishment and likely the last. I was given 2 10 dollar gift cards from a good friend of mine as a gift less than a year ago. I attempted to use them during this trip and initially was told that it would take some time to validate them. I ordered my food and when it was ready the lady proceeded to tell me that they had no way of verifying that there was monetary value on the cards and that they were at least 6 years old, which I found completely preposterous. She further explained that there gift cards lose 2 dollars in value every month they are not used so the likelihood of them having any money was slim to none. I found her demeanor to be very crass and unapologetic. I checked with the person who gave them to me and he confirmed that he bought them shortly before giving them to me so there is no way they are 6 years old. Being hungry and in somewhat of a rush to get back to work I simply paid for my food. I was charged 16.82 for a "large" chicken cheese steak sub, a bag of chips, and a can of soda. The "large" sandwich was presented to me in a french fry paper boat. How does a sandwich labeled as large fit in a french fry boat? The chicken was sliced and not choppedgrilled like most every other cheese steak Ive had. They also put lettuce, tomato, and mayo on it which I specifically did not request. By comparison I could go to jersey Mikes and spend about the same amount and get a sandwich about twice as large and a 20 ounce bottomless soda. The only redeeming quality is that the food was fresh and tasted fairly good. Even still, not a good value for the money and questionable service to say the least.

My first time at this place; I will never come back nor will I recommend it to anyone. The old white lady - Robin is rude ,cold and robotic. I wanted to try a new coffee shop and this killed my coffee morning mood. She was a bit more jovial to the young blonde dude who came . No atmosphere and no warmth. Tables are sticky and not cleaned. Coffee is fine. Being clean is not a strong point here. I wouldnt have them cater food for me. The coffee experience was not great for me. The few men who came in got coffee and left. I was looking for more of a good coffee shop experience.

I love the Bean Bag it really is the best sandwich in Rockville but it is their catering which really shines, you name it they do it or will figure it out. They have helped me out on numerous events from small family affairs to doing the concessions for my Rotary Clubs annual Strut Your Mutt street festival in Bethesda. Mitchel & Robin really do go way above and beyond to make everything perfect and I love doing business with a company that is active in the community as well.

A great place to stop for lunch, The Bean Bag has lots of options to choose from to meet your desires (sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, etc.). Their sandwiches are made from freshly sliced meats and cheeses and have always been good when Ive got them, and I like their hot dogs as well - I always get chili and cheese added to them. They also have good cookies as well, and also have coffee beans for sale (but since I dont drink coffee, Ive never gotten any).

Bean Bag catered an event I had a few weeks ago. Mitchell was SO professional, so nice and the sandwiches were ABSOLUTELY delicious! His employees showed up to my house and they were extremely professional as well and set up everything up for me quite efficiently and even brought extra things to asssit. I highly recommend this company for your catering purposes. Thanks again, Mitchell for an easy, wonderful experience.

Wow...How great is The Bean Bag! Not only are the sandwiches phenomenal but Mitchell and Robin are the best! They know all their customers and greet you as you walk in. I have used them both personally and professionally to cater multiple events and have gotten nothing but rave reviews from my customers, employees and family. I highly recommend them for all your catering needs.

I tried this place today for the first time, and I really doubt Im going back again. I had a sandwich with a small soda (no fries or any side) and I ended paying more than $15 dollars! Yes, the sandwich was good ,but with that price they should include at least a side order....Overpriced sandwiches, if you are looking for a cheap quick meal, stay away from this place......

SO expensive. I love the cookies and salads, but they are just cookies and salads. I was in the neighborhood and stopped by to grab lunch and pick up a few chocolate chip cookies for co-workers.. 1 half salad and 4 cookies= 20.00. This makes me sad. I can get more at Panera for a lot less.

Really good sandwiches and very friendly staff. They do catering so consider them for your next big even. Keep in mind they close early at 3pm if you just want to dine in or carry out.
