Holy balls, if this is the best MX food in MoCo, I need to get my MX fix elsewhere. Seriously? Pluses: Gracious and kind service, place looked and smelled fine Not good: white table cloths, sticky wooden chairs, tasty but lackluster (literally) salsa, chili relleno tasted like it had previously been frozen but cheese was good and coating fine w little bit o firmness to chili, chicken tomale was mushy and sad, beans initially made me think of Chuckwagon or beanie weenies, something remedial from childhood that shouldnt be in a Mexican restaurant, rice was too bright yellow lacking an orange a MX saffron would impart or a natural chicken stock could fathom. Not recommended for the aspiring foodie, juxtaposition of "fine dining" decor with sticky chairs and food product make for a disappointing venture.

Based on the tacky name I was expecting some classic Tex-Mex food- ie nice fresh salsa, frozen margarita, and a bountiful plate of greasy, flavorful food with the very necessary cheese sauce. I did not get what I was hoping for, the dishes seem to be more geared toward classic Hispanic home-cooking, ie Carne Asada, Lomo Saltado, etc. and not your typical ocmbinations of a burrito, taco, and enchilada. As others have pointed out the salsa was pretty bland, along with my rice and beans. My carne asada was tasty, but wasnt served with onions or tortillas, and felt it was pricey for what I got. Id say based on my experience Id give a 3.5, but round up for decent service and the fact my craving for generic Tex-Mex perhaps led me to be slightly too critical.

This restaurant flat-out refused to serve me alcohol, simply due to the fact that my valid Georgia ID is vertically-aligned. Never mind the fact that I am nearly twenty-three years old. The waiter (I unfortunately did not get his name) assured me that he would get the manager to alleviate the situation, but never even bothered to show back up for the duration of the meal. I really wish that I didnt have to give this place even one star for their s****y customer service.

Very disappointed. The only explanation I can come up with for its rave review is that people are not from the southwest. Tortillas were store bought. Six dollar margaritas should not come from a mix especially at a place that is so packed it is probably a fire code violation! Way overpriced. Spent $50 on a meal for 2. Better off at Taco Bell or Chipotle.

I took my son here for his birthday bad idea coming here. The service sucked the waiter screwed up our order they said they were going to bring out a cake and sing him happy birthday never happened. it was horrible . I will never consider anyone coming here its terrible service and they should have waiters that know English and that know how to serve food.

Barely OK and definitely not TexMex. The food lacked flavor. Salsa and salsa verde were bland. Waitress specifically said they make it like that for the "old" people. Fajitas were tender but would expect that anywhere. Dont waste your time. Try the Peruvian place next door. Food definitely looked better.

Generic tex-mex restaurant with sour mix margaritas, neon yellow rice and mexican cheese blend sprinkled on everything. Seafood dishes are pretty good and have a slightly more traditional feel. The fajitas on the other hand lack real alive, though again may hit the spot depending on your palate.

I went with a buddy. I ordered a quesadilla and horchata. He ordered a mole. The horchata was excellent--it was not too sweet and not milky, which is the kind of horchata I like. The mole was deep and flavorful. The quesadilla was well made and the veggies were fresh. The service was very good.

Beautiful Disaster

First time I come to this restaurant. The waitress was very attentitive and made sure she checked on the table to see if we needed anything. We ordered the food and it came pretty fast. Food was tasty but price is a little high. The cleanliness of the restaurant is good. I would recommend.

My wife and I took my brother (who was visiting us from another country) here on Thursday (May 3, 2012). The salsa was bland, the nachos were terrible and the food -- not so good. We ordered mango margaritas -- they just tasted like mango juice, with zero alcohol! Never going back there.

Food is typical of these establishments that cater to the tastes of those unacquainted with real Tex Mex food. The food is bland, tasteless, and uninspired. Much like the decor. A safe bet for a boring meal, those looking for real food should trek elsewhere. - BG

Pretty good food, but the spot mixes white table clothes and $20+ dishes with babies crying and tables packed tightly together. Cheaper dishes are available and the service is above average, but the mix of environments is offsetting.
