Terrible service!!!!!!!!!. This has to be the WORST service not only in OC, but possibly the planet. We were initially ecstatic to have a Ravens/Os establishment 3 blocks away from our place in OC and unfortunately were in for an enormous letdown. The service and food have always been borderline, but after the past three visits, we will never come here again. Strike One: Our family came for the AUCE shrimp and wings last year. Were in a hurry and figured wed be there an hour or so, since we arrived early and the place wasnt busy. Unfortunately, it took us well over two hours to complete our meal and this impacted our plans for that evening. The waitress was nonexistent for most of the visit, stopping by our table about every 30 minutes. Had to ask several servers countless times for service. Strike Two: After the last fiasco, we decided to give up on eating here, but I thought Id still stop in to watch a game over beer and appetizers. Came in with my neighbors and the bartender got our beer orders wrong on the first try. Not a huge mistake, but can this place do anything right??? Strike Three: Stopped in again with my neighbors. We asked the hostess if she could find us a table where we could view two different games over a few beers, and she managed to find us the only table where we could do this. After we had ordered, she came back and told us: "I need your table for another group, so youll have to sit somewhere else" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Strike Three, Youre out, Pit & Pub! (whats really embarrassing is that there is a restaurant across the street that caters to Pittsburgh fans and I hear this place is phenomenal.)

Called the pub to see if it was open because it was February. It was open and easy to find. When we got there, we were pleasantly greeted and the server was very, very cordial. The lunch specials were $6.99, but you only had a couple of choices that we werent interested in. The server suggested that we try the pulled pork, beef and chicken sliders and that days special was pizza. We ordered both. Tha sliders were pretty good. However, there was a problem with the pizza. The server told us that half of the pizza stuck to the pan. He served us the half that didnt and said he would give another pizza to take with us. Nice gesture! Half pizza at no cost to us because we paid for a whole pizza. Later we found that the pizza should not have been given to anyone. It should have been thrown away. The crust was burnt so bad on most of the slices that you couldnt eat it. So it turned out that we paid for pizza and nothing was free! Dont order the pizza! An establishment such as this shouldnt serve pizza if they cant get it right. Had to know it was burnt before giving it to us to take with us. So disappointed!

I called and was not greeted very well. I ordered brisket, pork, baked beans, and potato salad. The same person I talked to on the phone got my order. It seemed that he couldnt be bothered as he was stocking the cooler. They werent that busy for the little extra attention. The potato salad was the only thing that was semi tasteful. The brisket and pork had no color, smoke ring or flavor of smoke what so ever. The beans literally tasted the same as the meat. I would rather have my sauce on the side than on it. The sauce was nothing but vinegar no seasoning. I work with one of the best bbq places in the mid west. If we have numerous awards for it that is saying something. I am the production manager, and Assistant Pitmaster with a culinary background but this is what I love grilling and BBQ. KIDS THE KEY TO BBQ IS SLOW AND LOW, COOKING AT A SLOW RATE OF TIME 10 TO 12 HOURS AT 300 DEGREES OR NO LESS THAN 250! GET A BOOK AND READ UP ON IT OR STOP SELLING IT!

Not a pit; not a Pub. Other than that its name is accurate. BBQ was tasteless, and the sauce had no inspiration or particular flavor. The ribs were stale and tough with the same uninspired gunk dabbled atop. As for the pub part, well, if all that is needed is Bud and associated drivel on tap, then I guess someone would call it a "Pub." Any stricter use of the term, and this place wouldnt make it. Beers were all generic and low class. They had a handful of mixed drinks that they called their "signatures." Nude on the beach really tasted like cherry mountain dew with a teaspoon of tipple. Really poor quality stuff. The saddest part of this place is tbe staff seem to care. With some inspiration in the kitchen and a little experimentation open mindedness in the bar, thus establishment may just be able to live up to its name someday.

Worst place to eat!! Got bacon cheese fries as an app, all burnt an nasty. They let their customers take their beer in the bathrooms or just dont care, and when ppl did take their beers in there they come out within 40 secs with the beer in the same hand like they didnt wash their hands and touch everything. Very loud can barely hear ppl next to me. Asked for a side of fries with my cheeseburger and never got it and it the burger wasnt that great. Had to spend 80 some dollars on food that 3/5 ppl in family hated. The only good thing about this place is that the servers are nice which is a given. If you want to spend 80 dollars on your family I recommend just driving all the way to outback or Applebees just outside the city.

OMG! Came all the way from Philly, hungry. I am a big BBQ and seafood man. I cook so I have big expectations. This place has surpassed my expectations! The crab cake, unbelievable, fresh crab no filler! Hush puppies like I havent tasted in a long time. Seasoned, fresh! The Mac and Cheese will make you leave your wife! Finally a place that pours a grown up drink!!! (Great Long Island...) And the BBQ is right on point! Great service! Every recommendation by my waitress was delicious! Treat yourself, and experience this place. You wont be sorry..

We were seated fairly quickly and that was the best part of the experience. We sat for at least 15 minutes and at least 5 waitresses passed us. Not one stopped to take a drink order or even say that someone would be with us. There were only 3 in our party and a party of 8 that was seated after that ordered and received their drinks. I cant comment on their food because since no one seemed to care that we were there, we walked out and across the street to the Old Dock. But, judging from other reviews, we didnt miss much on the food.

I have been stopping in Pit and Pub since 2011. Every time we have been there its been great! The food is awesome!! And reasonably priced. The service has always been good as well! If they are a little busy, no... you will not get special attention, but thats not going to happen anywhere... and reading these bad reviews I cannot believe it.... we have always had a great experience no matter what time of day, or what day of the week weve stopped there... I love Pit and Pub!!! And I highly recommend it to everyone!
