One of my least favorite dining experiences. He bartender made terrible drinks. Just an FYI: a gimlet is vodka, lime juice and ice. If you dont know how to make one, ask. When I ordered my beer, they were out of both that I requested. Im sure our waitress was frustrated but our experience was terrible to begin with. Then, my mom requested a lemon. Thats it. A lemon. It took four requests to finally get it. Our appetizer took way too long, and so did our food. My food was "meh." Then, when we were leaving, our waitress put a picture that we ordered (art was on the wall) on our bill. Tip was calculated to include the picture. Sorry, not tipping on that. When she came by to get the check, my mom was looking over it to make sure everything was correct. The waitress states, "Ill just run your card. I dont care what you look at. Thats your copy." Im sorry, what?! If you screw up, that is your problem and you should care. We spoke with a manager about the drinks and the frustration that started the overall bad experience. She was useless and made an excuse. I got no apology. Im disappointed with my overall experience. Not making any trips to Deep Creek Seafood anytime soon.

Must have caught them on an off night. Extremely slow service. We only got 2 menus for 8 people. One of our party had a small child and had to leave before the appetizers were served. From the time we ordered the appetizers to the time we got them was 45 minutes. We ordered several cream of crab soups. 20 minutes later we were told there was not enough for all the orders. 15 minutes later we were told they were out of the cream of crab. It was another 30 minutes before our food were served. Food was good but a bit overpriced. Shrimp scampi with only 6 shrimp for $18. As compensation they gave us 1 piece of cake for 6 people. Spent 2 1/2 hours when it should have been less then 1 1/2 hours. Also noticed there were no posted handicapped parking spaces that I could see.

What a pleasant surprise it was to find this restaurant during our Summer vacation. I have been coming to Deep Creek Lake every since I was a child and this is by far the best restaurant I have eaten at. Nate (the proprietor) greets you with a warm welcome and is a great host. Their bar is well stocked and their drink selection is great. The restaurant itself is super casual and unpretentious. The seafood is fresh and delicious. We started with oysters on the half shell and friend clams... both delicious. For dinner we had the Salmon and Mahi Mahi... again both fantastic. The service was friendly, prompt, and unobtrusive. The experience was so good we are going back with a large group this Friday night! Eat here while visiting DCL as you will not be let down.

Same day, 6/22, that Deep Creek Seafood posted they had Maryland Blue Crabs I called to see if they were available. I was told they had king crab legs and were not sure they would be getting blue crabs. I asked if Nate could call me back. (He told me two weeks prior to call on the 22nd.) Nate never returned my call. We went to The Hen House in Frostburg, MD. Its 30 minutes from Deep Creek and worth the drive!! We had the best bushel of crabs, steamed shrimp and wings!! Very accommodating people!! Your loss Nate! We will never step foot in your restaurant!

We went on New Years Eve. Had the surf and turf which came with not one but two very large lobster tails and an 8oz steak and a baked potato. We decided to try the shrimp and bacon hush puppies. Everything was amazing! The price was also extremely easonable for all of the food we got. The staff, especially the owner, were great. You can tell that he loves what he does. He came around a few times to make sure we were having a great experience. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends and we will be back.

A little on the slow side. The shrimp appetizer was very good. They brought out the food for our three youngsters rather quickly. It did take about 50 minutes for the rest of the food to come out. When it did, the crab cake sandwiches were very bland but with a lot of crab meat. The fish in the fish and chips was extremely bland as well. Service was a little (ugh) but was expected from other comments from other websites. For the price (average $20 a person x 9 with gratuity included) you may do well else where.

Fantastic cooking and informal, comfortable, casual ambiance made us return to this restaurant two nights in a row. Outdoor seating was great and the bar is well stocked with wines, craft beers, and drinks made to order. Prices comparable to Uno across the street. Nate the owner knows what hes doing and is present. Ian the chef has a great hand for seasoning. Recommended: the crab cakes, ahi tuna, the salmon with cherries and the Mahi. All sides delicious. May this restaurant live long and prosper!

overpriced for presentation and overall experience. My tuna was high grade as described, but the "Caesar" salad it came on was less than desirable. Everything else I tied: calamari, crab dip/soup, was average but not outstanding, as the prices would make you expect. A few purchasing and menu changes could make a big difference in the overall dining experience. Maybe Ill try again next summer when its not off season.

This place is absolutely awesome. Its exactly what deep creek needed. The food is great. I usually stop in there before work to grab some lunch, the fish sandwich is amazing. The mussels are to die for, I dont have one single complaint. The food is all very fresh, everything on the menu is reasonably priced. Ive never had a dish I didnt love. So stop in and get a delicious meal, you will NOT be disappointed.

This place is amazing! Avoid the over priced tourist traps by the lake and get some awesome food and drink. The owner is a really nice guy and the service is impeccable. I am a cook myself and would be hard pressed to top the blackened Mahi tacos and the drinks are better than you would get in Manhattan. Do yourself a favor and enjoy great food, great service, at a great price.

Amazing food and service! The wife and I went there on our anniversary and couldnt ask for a better experience. The food was perfect and there is a very nice selection of well thought out dishes. The service was phenomenal. Thank you very much for a wonderful anniversary experience. This is going to be our go-to place when we are in the area.

Major let down after seeing all the good reviews. Our waitress was not very good. Had to ask 3 different times for ketchup and she barely checked in on us. Crab was stringy and the shells were very bendy and didnt break very well. Getting 3 stars because their fish sandwich was good and the owner/manager was a reallly nice guy.

Amazing! The atmosphere was very comfortable and they accommodated a medium sized party with no problem. The food was simply plated and cooked to perfection. It is truly a Deep Creek hidden treasure! Seeing the staff pull fresh produce from the garden is just a perfect element of the fresh taste this restaurant has to offer.
